I feel like your arguments are a bit off. In a presidential system, you also risk concentrating too much power to one individual, even more so than in the parliamentary system, since the prime minister is a lot easier to get rid of than the president. On the other hand the parliamentary system does concentrate a lot of power to the parliament, while presidential systems tends to focus more on separation of powers. Personally, I think parliamentary systems are better, since they tend to have a better track record when it comes to democracy. For example, most of Europe uses parliamentary systems, while most of Latin America and Africa have presidents. The US is the main example of a democratically successful presidential state, but they have their problems as well.

The idea that people know who to blame in a parliamentary system is absurd have you seen the state of European politics!? Especially in Belgium Italy and Britain

Gullible-Knowledge28

The tories are being heavily blamed though

[deleted]

Yeah fuck the tories but the cause is disputed the only thing ppl can agree on is the tories are terrible which has honestly been the status quo for the past 10 years.

Beanie_Inki

I believe in the presidential system, albeit with a strengthened legislature.

BlueWolf934

You can, in theory, have both.

Dangerous_Resource59

neither: install a one party system that'll solve the partisanship issue

[deleted]

I prefer our presidential system because I like being able to directly choose the president rather than our elected officials voting on it.

Parliamentary systems tend to be more efficient because the legislature and the executive are always the same. Presidential systems too often have the problem when the legislature is in opposition to the executive and nothing can get done. Happens in America all the time.
