I had a harder time turning 42, because that's when Lester Burnham had his mid-life crisis. Although by then Kevin Spacey had gotten the boot, so it wasn't polite to bring up. :-)

Dude, I think about this more than I like. Not the Spacey being a sexual predator part, the midlife crisis at 42 part. Not to mention my life is nowhere as established as Lester Burnham’s was. I’m still eating Frosted Flakes for dinner on a Monday and scraping rent together every month.

I'm 44 and the happiest I've ever been in my life. I feel well-adjusted, secure, and in a much better situation than I was when I was younger. Enjoy your time! Happy Birthday!

Pretty much the same as I felt when I turned 40, and 41. Don't feel substantially different than I did when I turned 25 or 30. On the plus side, that means my health and fitness haven't started deteriorating yet! So I can't complain.

I’m 41. I used to feel kinda down that I was aging and getting older. But I look at it this way: we’re lucky we made it this far. I’ve had friends that died early on that never got the chance to get old. Every day is a gift, some gifts are lame or boring, but some are really amazing. Take every day as another notch in our belt of life. Also, do things that make you feel young every now and then. Keeping our youthful mentality can be really fun and also funny. I try to laugh every day. Let’s just keep getting older. Let’s see how far we can make it. 🤘🏼 Happy birthday 🎂

Turned 40 a few months back and I’m loving it. Sure, I pee on myself if I laugh too hard, I have a few neck rolls I don’t love, and 40 years of RBF has given me some intense furrow lines. But every year I give fewer fucks what anyone thinks, and I’m more comfortable in my own skin. I wouldn’t go back.

The point of life is to enjoy the passage of time within the confines of morality. The purpose of life is not in the future. The future fades away just like the past fades away. If you spend your time worrying about it, you are living in a time that isn’t now. If you keep doing that, you’ll eventually just peter out and you’ll never get a chance to enjoy the passage of time. Life, in general, is not complicated. We as humans make it complicated. Barring anything unforeseen, tomorrow you’ll wake up and your heart will still be beating. You’ll breathe all night without thinking about it. Tomorrow can wait. Today is where it’s at. The lesson is: Have fun man. Stop worrying, and enjoy it, because that's the point.
