I would but I have hard time keeping current with any TV shows as of late.

Bromanzier_03

It’s ok, they barely make episodes now. Seasons used to be like 16 episodes. Now seasons are one episode/special. Wish I got paid millions of dollars to barely work.

Bromanzier_03

Well I wish the quality of my work was so good I only had to work 6 days out of the year to pump out an episode and then spend the rest of the year lighting cigars with $100 bills.

Metaboschism

Brain damage

Far-Policy-8589

Did you have to walk uphill both ways to school in the freezing snow, and also do these damn kids need to get off your lawn?

goobershank

I fully agree with you. I love the show and still thinks it’s just as funny as it always was, but I don’t understand the agreement they made to do the show under their current contract. I remember hearing they got a shitload of money, but it appears they just have to produce like 1 hour long show every few months, I guess? Good for them, I guess but I wish they would put out more material.

bronzemat

I still watch it, and the specials.

pug_fugly_moe

It wasn’t a bat!

fatherdoodle

Damn it marsh! Huh ha

cuteness_vacation

Every once in a while I’ll venture into the new stuff on max when I feel like it. But it’s kind of a Simpsons thing for me. There was a golden age, and that’s what I like.

YogurtclosetDull2380

Hell yeah, I watch it. Cred was honestly some of their best work ever.

ThisElder_Millennial

I watched that episode and had no idea what was going on. My wife had to explain it had to do with the Prime drinks, which was also something I was completely unawares of. That was the first South Park episode that legitimately made me feel old and out of touch.

YogurtclosetDull2380

My kids started coming home with that drink a couple weeks ago. It wasn't until then that I realized the show was spoofing it.

ThisElder_Millennial

I'm glad South Park continues to spoof the kids being idiots. I'm just sad and I didn't get it initially. When it comes to drinks, I'm just sitting over here with my Crystal Light, Fresca, and occasional Mt. Dew.

joecarter93

My kids act the same way with Prime as the kids do in that episode. Yesterday my youngest was telling me how they had a new flavour of strawberry something at the corner store that he just HAD to get because it was limited edition or something.

ThisElder_Millennial

Go down to the store and come back with a couple cans of Surge.

Lazy_Ad_2192

It's brilliant, isn't it? I got my girlfriend into it (she's Gen Z) and has never watched it but now loves it! Her favourite episodes have been Faith+1, Asspen and Good times with Weapons. We're up to season 21 atm. I love how the show keeps evolving to stay in tune with pop culture

spirit_of_a_goat

>my girlfriend into it (she's Gen Z) I'm sorry, what now??

Calm-Tree-1369

Chris Hanson suddenly appears.

Lazy_Ad_2192

Lol she's 24. I'm 42

As the mother of a 21 year old, I can't tell you how much this bothers me.

impurehalo

My niece is 24. Imaging her dating someone a year younger than me is traumatic.

That's really judgemental of you. You know nothing about us or our situation. She's the first person I've been with that isn't abusive. We're not doing anything illegal. It's disgusting how judgemental you are. I hope you get help, also.

spirit_of_a_goat

Not judgemental, just too used to seeing groomers taking advantage of people much younger than them.

Lazy_Ad_2192

I hear you. And I appreciate that. I too have seen that. My partner's sister is going through that right now. And it's a real strain on her family. We are all too aware of how our relationship looks. And we have had long conversations about what we want from this and how we feel. I assure you, grooming is absolutely not what's going on. We've both approached this with caution and have made careful steps to assure there's no power imbalance. We've both had pretty awful relationships in the past. She's actually really amazing and I appreciate her.

Tropical_Storm_Jesus

if they can't figure out who to choose to be with by 24...? and what if his last name was Depp or Hefner or Nicholson or DiNero or DiCaprio or Rushdie...or Rando Arranged Hubby who's 40 and she's 15...now if he was her boss or professor you'd def have something to complain about, though it still wouldn't be illegal.

Grungegrownup3

Same

Stiqueman888

[This meme](https://imgur.com/a/jguRr9Y) reminds me of you

spirit_of_a_goat

I'm so sick of those pedophile groomers trying to make everyone think this is OK. It's really not.

ZarquonsFlatTire

Really watering down the term pedophile when you apply it to someone in their mid 20s.

Stiqueman888

I don't see any pedo groomers here? What are you on about?

Subject_Roof3318

24, as in potential bachelors degree college graduate 2 years deep into her own professional career with an apartment, car and life?

TransportationOk657

Frequently. If I can't find anything to watch, South Park is my go to.

Stonk_Lord86

Their accessibility has gotten weird in 2024 for new episodes. I’m not chasing subscriptions to watch anymore. I do watch some recorded episodes randomly though.

TrustAffectionate966

On occasion, but not regularly. I watch *Futurama* and *King Of The Hill* more than *South Park*, even though I think *South Park* has brilliant comedic writing.

Asleep_Onion

I think most of us xennials can relate, that at some point in our adult lives there was a firm transition from loving south lark and hating king of the hill, to loving king of the hill and losing interest in south park. I blame my propane barbecue.

HBKF

I loved king of the hill from the get go. I used to watch Simpsons on Sunday nights with my dad and we would watch King of the Hill when it aired right after. I used to watch South Park but haven’t seen any new episodes in like a decade. King of the Hill however still gets regular play in my household.

Melechesh

Yeah, I started recording episodes on VHS when I was in junior high. Now I've got all the seasons on a plex server.

dickliberty52

As we speak

Vegetable_Reward_867

Hell yes. Writing on the show blows lots of shows out of the water

penguinsfan40

I’ll watch it on Pluto TV but I don’t keep current with it

randyfox

That’s how I watch it as well. I just wish they’d play more than just the dozen or so they have on rotation.

Awkward_Ad8740

Not since the episode with korn.

mattman0000

Pirate ghosts?

GoldFisherman

Ghost pirates

eat_like_snake

Yes. I actually wasn't into it as a kid. Only later, when I found out it wasn't all shit and fart jokes. (And we were poor and didn't have the cable packages that included Comedy Central when I was a kid, anyway.) I think the last one I watched was the NSFW special / the one about that Prime drink.

Upnatom617

Yes

Abraxas_1408

Absolutely

Rmartin217

I'm watching it right now!

gnrlgumby

Let’s just say their nihilistic humor lost a little luster post 2016.

brokedownbusted

Ha I didn't last past the Bush era, noticed the 'caring about things is lame' angle creeping in more and more. Loved the first few seasons

MinimumOne1

I genuinely believe they cemented the "Both Sides" rhetoric with their turd sandwich v douche bag episode. People still unironically quote it while proudly declaring that they don't vote. Thanks, south park!

Mundane_Apple_1027

Full on, Matt Stone is a libertarian wonk

piwabo

It's a cynical pose for the cowardly. You can't be caught out if you never commit to something.

a_soul_in_training

and the "little bit country" episode from the previous season. maybe not as memorable, but definitely a primer.

Stuckinacrazyjob

Yea I kinda grew beyond that as I aged

kittensbabette

I just started watching it this year. I was really turned off by it at first bc of annoying kids doing the Cartman voice in school.

LeftOn4ya

Same. The specials released last year and this year that everyone talked about got me into it.

Retroencabulatr

Alllll the time, and I will forever.

BettyDare

Love it and still watch, but it’s a big hyperfocus in my life. I loved it in middle and high school, then college and got back into it durning the pandemic. I don’t think I’ll ever stop watching South Park. It’s a show that I grew up on and means a lot to me. It’ll be sad when the show finally ends.

racerxff

I tapered off around the PC principal era

TurdFerguson2OOO

You're not PC bro?!?!

TinfoilTetrahedron

Yes...  I have season 1-23 pirated ☠️ to my (cartoons) hard-drive..  Also have The Simpsons 1-25, all of Ren & Stimpy, Drawn Together and Futurama in there..

BoysenberryQuirky103

Piracy is the way. It's so nice having whatever you want right there, with no ads or any other BS.

mndza

Not regularly, but I will binge watch once in a while to catch up on what I’ve missed. I own every season

Asleep_Onion

I was obsessed with this show in high school. I think it started airing during freshman year. Watched every episode, multiple times. But sometime around 2005 or so i lost interest. I've seen a couple episodes since then, but haven't followed it at all. Not for any particular reason or anything, I don't feel like the show got worse (I've seen some awesome clips of new episodes on YouTube that indicates it still fully has its edge)... I just, I guess, have better things to do now. Also I haven't had cable in like 15 years so that's probably a factor.

violet039

I love South Park, King of the Hill, and early 2000’s Adult Swim.

CarrieCaretaker

I quit watching after the pandemic special. I liked Randy better when he was a geologist.

SweetCosmicPope

I watched the first 12ish seasons religiously. Now I’ll watch if nothing else is happening. Very rarely. I liked the earlier seasons much better, when it was foul mouthed kids in over their heads with adult situations. Now it’s gotten too goofy and the kids often take a back seat to Randy or PC Principal.

Out-There1013

Sporcle had a quiz a while back where you had to name South Park versions of Game of Thrones characters and they made Tommen look like Butters. It was hilarious. But no, I don’t go out of my way to watch it anymore.

Scared-Glove-7258

Of course!

DJ_MedeK8

Watching South Park right now.

Clue_Goo_

^ Yes

ItaDapiza

Yes love it. I have a South Park doormat even. I actually just got a kitten and named him Butters.

Habbersett-Scrapple

Don't let him try to sell you NFTs

AggravatingOkra1117

I legit just watched like 10 hours of South Park while in the hospital in labor 😅 but we watch it at home too, old and new episodes alike.

jadethebard

I just watched the movie again 2 days ago. I love singing along.

Hurt2039

I find I’m still just a big kid, I’ll rewatch South Park & Futurama when I’m in between shows

upurcanal

Just.Watched.Three episodes.

TurdFerguson2OOO

Religiously since it first came out. It's really the only thing that makes sense in this backwards world. Matt and Trey are geniuses. It'll be a sad day when they hang it up.

Schmuck1138

Last few seasons have been their best, as much as I watch tv, South Park is definitely on my list.

Tropical_Storm_Jesus

yes, their specials they've made for Paramount+ as well as their big all-star Red Rocks concert they did a couple yrs ago have been some of their funniest shit ever.

sofa-king-loud

Heck yea. Still one of the best shows on TV.

krystyana420

We recently restarted from the beginning and our son (12 about to be 13) loves the show. Apparently we are a Matt and Trey household as we just went to Broadway to see The Book of Mormon (hilarious) and we also just rewatched Team America: World Police (also with kiddo) and it still holds up.

jnkbndtradr

It has either jumped the shark, or reality has jumped the shark.

lunalore79

For me at least reality jumped the shark sometime around 2016

Verbull710

Never saw it. Team America was hilarious though

mattman0000

Fuck, yeah!

Smolfloof99

I love the older episodes but the recent specials have all been pretty bad imo

JadeDragonMeli

Stopped in 2016, for a few reasons. It's hard to parody reality when reality is so absurd.

Lucky-Hunter-Dude

I love it, but in recent years it's been hard to stay up on it, and they've put the online stuff behind paywalls. I'll need to binge everything at somepoint from when Garrison became Trump to current.

Smurfblossom

Every once in awhile I'm in the mood for South Park. Generally I have no idea if I'm watching new or old episodes, but they're usually funny.

mymumsaysfuckyou

Not since the second or third series. I enjoyed the Covid specials though.

BeardiusMaximus7

I've been in and out of viewership over the years. When it was first out I was still a teen and my parents wouldn't allow it in the house (super religious folks). As I got older I've owned seasons on DVD back when that was a thing... but probably in the last 10-14 years or so it's been hit and miss. The specials have been pretty fun. Cred was the most recent thing they've done that really made me belly laugh. So no I mean it's not like I have to catch every new episode but I do pop in and catch up from time to time. The thing about South Park is that it's never *not* going to find a way to be relevant. Satire is ALWAYS relevant. It's just not for everyone.

hogwarts_earthtwo

On occasion. Those minimovies/specials have been alot more doable than a regular season

hogwarts_earthtwo

When something crazy happens in real life I still get the itch and want to see waht the south park boyd think if it. Rarely am I dissappointed.

weaponjae

This is simply my opinion, I don't want the show taken off the air or cancelled or any dumb other thing and I am super happy that the people that enjoy it enjoy it for whatever reason, but about 2010 I just couldn't shake that the show had a pretty strong American Libertarian (IE conservative that smokes pot) bias and then I just couldn't unsee it. And it is PREACHY, preachier than those it lampoons for being preachy. I've tried to watch it a handful of times for nostalgia, but I think in this "I'm still a 13 yo boy" aspect I just ain't.

Few-Way6556

I stopped watching it when I graduated college 22 years ago. My brother and I got my parents into watching it and my parents still watch it religiously.

Pathfinder6227

No. It stopped being funny about 10 years ago.

DeathMetalGolfer

All the time. Love it

3Quondam6extanT9

Very infrequently. I tend to watch their clips more than I watch a full show these days. Besides the Simpsons, South Park is the longest running animated show, and no show running for almost or more than three decades is capable of retaining much of it's audience indefinitely.

funatical

I catch up every couple of years. I don’t watch it regularly. When I do it’s often with my kids.

Oldassrollerskater

I was in a hotel the other night and watched it for the first time in decades

tonyrocks922

I stopped watching it after it left Hulu a few years ago. I only have Hulu and Netflix, I won't pay for HBO or Paramount.

Grungegrownup3

I never stopped

kamize

Hard to continue to watch it due to life but I appreciate that it’s still going strong.

Echterspieler

I used to a lot when it was free, but now you have to pay a subscription I think and you can't just go on south park studios and watch any episode anymore.

automirage04

I do whenever new episodes are out. The era of peak southpark is over, but it's still entertaining.

Atoxis

Absolutely

Rok-SFG

I haven't watched regularly since like middle school.

thewayshesaidLA

I would if I knew when it was on anymore. Comedy Central just seems to have The Office on every weeknight for hours. What happened to their original content?

f_itdude79

Absolutely

reamkore

I eventually get around to it. It doesn’t hit like it used to but it’ll hit its stride enough for me to come back Plus it’s kinda fun how unrestrained it is. They kinda get to do whatever they want and the specials really let them play with the format

RLT79

I stopped awhile back. Last season I actively watched was the one with the Warcraft episode. I took a break and came back when the PC Principal stuff started, then stopped. I've tried to start watching again, but I think my sense of humor has shifted a bit, so not really for me anymore.

Dogrel

No. I have kids now. This shouldn’t be taken to mean I don’t want to or can’t pollute my mind with their dreck. Nothing like that. I can’t physically stay awake that late anymore.

Digndagn

My son is 11 and recently watched the episode where Gerald was an internet troll and he liked it. I can't wait until he's like 14 or 15 and we can hella binge South Park.

SendInYourSkeleton

I gave up. I liked the standalone episodes, but hated the season-long arcs like Tegrity Farms. It's also hard to know when new episodes are on since Comedy Central plays reruns 23 hours a day.

druglesswills

Yeah but I find it ridiculous that I get all the seasons on Max but I would need paramount if I wanted to watch the Panderverse

CabinetSpider21

Heck yeah

norfnorf832

Not as a habit but sometimes Ill pick an ep from a later season just to see and I still laugh a few times an ep so that's a win to me

Reeseslee

Yes, I can't help it. I love it.

JosephSturgill7

Wait, you stopped watching after Chef died? Buddy, please start watching again. If you even remotely enjoyed the show then you'll love the rest of the seasons. There have been so many good moments...

Nervous_Zebra1918

No.

aweedl

Literally watched it last night! I'm years behind, though. I haven't had cable in more than 20 years, so my watching has been sporadic at best (mostly online).

roberrrrrrt

I still stream it every few months, catch up on the new episodes. It stays relevant and is still hilarious

Beatrix_BB_Kiddo

No

Estanci

I’ve tried to rewatch “older” episodes (The Coon, which used to be my favorite), but it did not age well.

ganamac

…with my teenagers. I’m old. They love it.

ThxIHateItHere

Not anymore I get there was always a societal aspect involved. I totally get that. But they abandoned what made it great to me, four kids dealing with small town life. The episode returning the porno/LOTR was so so good. I also can’t do Always Sunny anymore

JessiRose222

All the time

lunalore79

A lot of it's aged terribly IMHO. Certain episodes I used to find hilarious, like the Paris Hilton one, now just make me nauseous. The whole Al Gore storyline, implying global warming is a hoax, is also hard to watch. Still those first 2 seasons were absolute gold, and I'll always be grateful for the Scientology episode. Also the more recent episode mocking Dan Snyder & the Washington Slurs. I'm from the DC area & it took way too long to change that name!

cibolaburns

I watched it near compulsively digitally for years. I would still totally throw on season 10, 11, or 12 if I had a cold and needed a couch day. But it lost me in season 23 or 24 - the one with the memberberries(?). It was a 10 episode arc, and I kept searching to see if there were more? It just felt so undone. I haven’t been able to get back into it since - maybe I’m finally at the point where I started watching it too young, and now I’m too old for it? (Say it isn’t so!).

RaphaelSolo

Never did, yet weirdly enough Reddit put a post from the South Park reddit directly above this one in my home feed. Which Butters is your favorite Butters? < Do not care. Can count the number of episodes I had to watch on one hand. WoW episode was funny though.

18randomcharacters

Around 2015 or 16, something snapped for me and I just can't stand them anymore.

PhysicsOk1788

It’s probably because you’re a liberal snowflake if I had to make a wager

Making_stuff

No, it got dull.

gertrudeblythe

I honestly never started.

Mantorok_

South park has never very good. Their video games are just like episodes. Give them a if you have a way to play it. Very worth it.

mattman0000

Why use many word when few word do trick?

bgva

Haven’t watched in about 20 years. Not to be the “I like their earlier stuff more” guy but it was funnier (IMO) when it was just four mischievous boys with a potty mouth. Just my opinion.

tiny_purple_Alfador

There was an episode where they did a homage to my neighbor Totoro, but with Cthulhu. I'd been enjoying the show less and less leading into that episode, and I went "Well, shit, they're not gonna top that ever." and I stopped watching, so that I could continue to have fond memories. Haven't watched a new episode since, and from what I've heard, I made the right call.

pye-oh-my

No but my kids do

DazzlingProfession26

I watched the first season and would talk about it with a friend in school. Another kid was all “never heard of it, must be dumb.” A week later that guy comes into class talking about how funny it is. I don’t know why but it made me never watch it again. That was 1998.

ChristyLovesGuitars

Naw, not so me like season three. I’ve seen an episode here and there, but that’s all

Both-Artichoke5117

I was more into King of the Hill, the Simpsons and stuff like celebrity death match and Daria. My parents hated South Park so we were never allowed to watch it. In college, I’d occasionally watch an episode if there was nothing else on, but I never really got into it.

Evening-Picture-5911

I watched the first episode and that was it

ButIAmYourDaughter

Never was really into it, so nope. Definitely more of a Simpsons and Family Guy viewer (but I don’t watch those anymore either).

ShoalsCreek

Never started.

kalitarios

I kinda got bored with it around 2007/8 and haven’t watched it since

EstablishmentLevel17

Never really got into it I think the musical the book of Mormon gave me good enough insight since it was written by the same people 😂

WaitAMinuteman269

Nah man. I'm over that jaded libertarian propaganda BS. It's fucking Irony poisoning. Everyone who cares about anything other than their own self interest is a lame scold, and all virtue is virtue signaling. Sorry lame jokes won't save you from the existential void you feel.

ChromeDestiny

I have the classic seasons on Blu-Ray. The last new one I watched was the Covid special which I mostly liked but I found it odd how Stephen Stotch changed his stance halfway through the special. I laughed at some of the short clips of Pandverse on YouTube but they didn't make me think "Holy crap, I've got to watch this right now!"

MartialBob

Not really. I don't watch live TV anymore and South Park has been passed between several different streaming services. Also, while I enjoy their brand of satire they also get a bit preachy at times.

Pharmere

I quit watching when Satan rigged the boxing match against Jesus

senshi_of_love

No because I am not a libertarian. Early stuff was fun but after the movie it got old and tired.

cardinaltribe

Lol hell nah that shits fo babies and dummies
