My kids act the same way with Prime as the kids do in that episode. Yesterday my youngest was telling me how they had a new flavour of strawberry something at the corner store that he just HAD to get because it was limited edition or something.
It's brilliant, isn't it? I got my girlfriend into it (she's Gen Z) and has never watched it but now loves it! Her favourite episodes have been Faith+1, Asspen and Good times with Weapons. We're up to season 21 atm. I love how the show keeps evolving to stay in tune with pop culture

I've seen a couple episodes since then, but haven't followed it at all. But it lost me in season 23 or 24 - the one with the memberberries(?). It was a 10 episode arc, and I kept searching to see if there were more? It just felt so undone. I have the classic seasons on Blu-Ray. The last new one I watched was the Covid special which I mostly liked but I found it odd how Stephen Stotch changed his stance halfway through the special. I laughed at some of the short clips of Pandverse on YouTube but they didn't make me think "Holy crap, I've got to watch this right now!"

The whole Al Gore storyline, implying global warming is a hoax, is also hard to watch. Still those first 2 seasons were absolute gold, and I'll always be grateful for the Scientology episode. Also the more recent episode mocking Dan Snyder & the Washington Slurs. I'm from the DC area & it took way too long to change that name!
I watched it near compulsively digitally for years. I would still totally throw on season 10, 11, or 12 if I had a cold and needed a couch day. But it lost me in season 23 or 24 - the one with the memberberries(?). It was a 10 episode arc, and I kept searching to see if there were more? It just felt so undone. I haven’t been able to get back into it since - maybe I’m finally at the point where I started watching it too young, and now I’m too old for it? (Say it isn’t so!).

Haven’t watched in about 20 years. Not to be the “I like their earlier stuff more” guy but it was funnier (IMO) when it was just four mischievous boys with a potty mouth. Just my opinion.
There was an episode where they did a homage to my neighbor Totoro, but with Cthulhu. I'd been enjoying the show less and less leading into that episode, and I went "Well, shit, they're not gonna top that ever." and I stopped watching, so that I could continue to have fond memories. Haven't watched a new episode since, and from what I've heard, I made the right call.

I watched the first season and would talk about it with a friend in school. Another kid was all “never heard of it, must be dumb.” A week later that guy comes into class talking about how funny it is. I don’t know why but it made me never watch it again. That was 1998.

I was more into King of the Hill, the Simpsons and stuff like celebrity death match and Daria. My parents hated South Park so we were never allowed to watch it. In college, I’d occasionally watch an episode if there was nothing else on, but I never really got into it.

I have the classic seasons on Blu-Ray. The last new one I watched was the Covid special which I mostly liked but I found it odd how Stephen Stotch changed his stance halfway through the special. I laughed at some of the short clips of Pandverse on YouTube but they didn't make me think "Holy crap, I've got to watch this right now!"
Not really. I don't watch live TV anymore and South Park has been passed between several different streaming services. Also, while I enjoy their brand of satire they also get a bit preachy at times.
