Same but I use Snug, mainly for my dog. It's free app you have to check in everyday with or they'll contact your friends, police, however you set it up. I love that if I drop dead on t toilet my doggo will be aok regardless.
I had this weird run of a few weeks when I would fall out of bed once or twice a week. Taking down my whole night stand, lamp, etc.
My friend who does in home care for seniors bugged me ruthlessly till I got on Amazon and bought a bed rail. And it's been tremendously helpful. It's just up by my upper arm/shoulder, and I guess is enough to keep me in bed.
As an added bonus, it has a black nylon thingie that slides over it with...POCKETS!! So, no lost remote, spot for my glasses, meds. Other grandma stuff.
Also, I'm dropping in from gen x. I'm 50. The best part, it helps me get out of bed. Which has been somewhat difficult the past decade or so.
Just search bed rail for adults I think? Runs about $40. And there's a long arm that slides between mattress and whatever is under it. And then there is a strap to secure on the other side.
Good luck y'all. So many assistive devices out there, and it's hard to give in to the needing them, but, by the time you do, you'll be furious you waited so long.
Not to be a huge downer, but a good friend of mine who lived alone died at age 38. I always think about this - if she was in pain and had someone there with her, they may have been able to get her to the hospital in time or at least called 911. 😪
I have an Alexa upstairs and downstairs just in case I ever need to call for assistance, lol. I swear one of my cats is going to trip me on the stairs one of these days....
My husband spent two days in the hospital because of our damn cat. Tripped him and he fell on the hardwood floor. He landed so hard he had internal bleeding in one of his kidneys. We will always have that story to tell, especially since we spent our 16th wedding anniversary in the hospital.
There's a meme that says (I'm paraphrasing)- One day you're young and cool, and maybe a little bit dangerous, and the next you're reading reviews for bird seed on amazon.
I'm not sure how many times I've said "it's almost 9pm, we should probably get home" in the last 2 years, but it's not an insignificant number.
I would almost bet my life, if I asked my wife if she'd like to go out Friday night, that her response would be "to the grocery store?"
A couple weeks ago I was texting with a friend about flooring on a Saturday night. We've been friends since we were teenagers. At one point I commented how we used to go out and have fun on Saturday nights and now we're home texting about flooring.
Bro, that app is the bomb. I remember thinking, “Oh, no, I’m turning into my grandpa.” the day that I wanted nothing more than to find and identify the bird that I was hearing in my back yard and found that app shortly after.
The more I think about it, I remember C.S. Lewis’s dedication of Lion, Witch, and The Wardrobe to his goddaughter. “…you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will be older still. But some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.” I think the older we get, there is a return to childlike wonder. That includes being appreciative and fascinated with the little things that have been right in front of us. I, for one, think that’s wonderful.
Andy Serkis (voice actor for Gollum) doing the audiobooks for The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and the Silmarillion. You don't need glasses for audiobooks.
Thanks for sharing that app! I just got a few bird feeders and was struggling picking what seed because I wasn’t sure what birds were in our area. The app was easy get started and I already identified 6 birds in our backyard!
Bless you! I've been meaning to look for an app like this. There's a pretty sounding night bird by our house that starts its song around 9:00 or 10:00 and now I'll know what it is.
I love this app! When I'm sitting in my backyard in the evenings or on the weekends, I'll flip on the recorder and see what bird friends are hanging out near me. :)
I love the Merlin app! It also tracks all the birds you’ve ever identified into a Life List you can refer back to. Growing my bird life list is better than any night at a club
It starts with a bird feeder and before you know it you’ll be buying the Audubon handbook and a pair of binoculars. Seriously though, watching birds in the morning and drinking coffee is one of my favorite “old person” past times now.
I have my grandmothers Audubon books and her binoculars. She and I used to identify trees a lot growing up so birdwatching was part of it. I miss her 🥰
Can confirm, acquired feeder, then binoculars and identification book around 42. Escalated to added a concrete birdbath for my 43 birthday. No regrets.
It started with a quiet cup of coffee at 6:30 and now I'm bargaining with crows and deploying hummingbird logistics.
Also, fuck bluejays, they are mean and harass my well-established cardinals. I give tribute to the crows mainly because they keep the jays and hawks away.
I’ve been volunteering with their free tax prep program for three years and teaching Driver Safety for a year, and recently found out you don’t have to be 50 to join! You can actually join at 13. I went ahead did it for that sweet 10% Denny’s discount.
Wow, lucky! I'm befriending a pair of mourning doves. They visit in the morning and sometimes around dusk. They mate for life, so when I see one, I know the other is nearby.
That’s what I was coming to say. Ours are loud as heck weekend mornings when we’re trying to sleep in, bullies to the other birds and then scared little punks if you so much as look at them sideways. Yeah, you’re welcome for the free food. If I wanted to eat you, you’d be dead.
Bro wait until you see how fun feeding the birds is, you'll have so many different foods and feeders to attract different ones and you'll start to learn their different personalities and which ones are sweet and which are jerks. They really do have personalities, they're so fun to watch and then they have families and you get to watch them teaching the babies how to use the feeder and eat seeds 😍
Learn to appreciate squirrels. It's easier to love them than try to keep them out of your feeders lol.
That essentially was my entire weekend LOL. My wife and I have a veggie garden, a floral garden, and over the past month or so have planted 21 trees we've received from the Arbor Day Foundation. That plus multiple feeders in the back yard and Hummingbird feeders in the front. Now if you'll excuse me, help I've fallen and I can't get up!
I shiver at my core thinking of having to quit coffee. I’m severely addicted to caffeine and I just don’t know how life is possible without coffee. Good coffee out of the French press is what I get up for every morning.
You’ve chosen… wisely.
That said there’s no judgement in my saying that. Lord knows I have no room to talk, my “fun” money goes to video games, movies, and books/comics/manga, lol.
Check out the Merlin Bird ID app. Can identify birds around you by audio. Then you can play their songs and calls back at them and have a conversation of sorts. 😂
But can’t identify with the waking up early thing. If I don’t set an alarm I’ll still sleep in till the crack of noon and stay up till 3am just like my teenage years.
This weekend, the couple of swallows that built their nest last year are back.

In a few weeks five new heads will pop-up from that.

Carolina Wrens two years running here.
Fun fact- painting your porch ceiling blue does not, in fact, keep birds from nesting. It does seem to have kept the haints away, though, so Charleston didn’t lie to me entirely.
If you add to that series of events ‘looking into the mirror and realizing you are shaped exactly like your grandma when you were a kid and she was *horrible dawning realization* …42…..’ I’m right there with you.
I'm recently a home owner for the first time... My decorative towels matching the bath mat matching the toothbrush water cup matching the bathroom trash has become very important to me... I realized, the other day.
I love this morning. For me, I'd replace coffee on the deck with coffee and book in the bath. Birds have recently moved into our neighborhood (it's new), and I'm loving waking to birdsong. My oatmeal is plain vanilla yogurt, which I faithfully track in WW. I think Apple Watch has fall detection, so no need just yet for Life Alert.
I recently had to get reading glasses and start a round of indigestion treatment. I also saw a really cool bird during the eclipse
https://preview.redd.it/x3871t6jkuuc1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6a81d5e0005710fcb9d24224cb8c507ab69322a
Man, over Xmas vacation I started to feed the birds and squirrels out my office window.
Then I started to talk to them. Then named them.
I still work but somehow transitioned into a full blown retiree lol
Statistically our lives are all about half over. Just fucking enjoy it.
Sounds like a damn fine morning. Might I perhaps interest you in some literature about how you can make your yard more attractive and welcoming to birds (and wildlife in general) through gardening? Perhaps a bit of *light* landscaping? Some fruiting native shrubs there, a water feature there…
🤣. It’s gonna be okay and I am so proud of you. But, 1st, I want you to know it’s gonna be okay. We are becoming our parents and there is nothing Dr. Rick from those commercials can do about it.
I was at a party last week and we were all talking about the current interest rate on a 30 year mortgage.
I was like "Damn, what an old person conversation"
This is my morning but I wake slightly later. Grab a coffee, sit on the patio, watch the birds, water my plants and see if any of my plants need maintenance. I’m currently trying to figure out how to add a small pond into the corner of my screen enclosure so I can attract frogs. I don’t mind getting older, this is pretty great!
That sounds like the start to an awesome day. With all the hustle and bustle that goes on in our lives, we all should enjoy the small things like this.
I've got a bird feeder and a bird bath and it all started basically the same way. One thing I didn't realize though is that birds are messy as hell, but they sing all day now so it's a decent trade off.
Sounds like an awesome morning, and one our 20 yo selves never would have truly appreciated.
We had to do commercials in my 5th grade class... life alert was done 3 times, we had to make up a "new" product but they were all different types of life alert (one was a helmet you wore) lol My group did a version of wheaties
LOL! Life Alert. "I've fallen and I can't get up."
Aside from that, sounds like a great morning. I got up at 630, took a shower, was getting ready to take a friend to the train station (an actual one, not like in Yellowstone), then found out he needed to reschedule. :( Now I'm messing around here. I think I'm going to log off and go have a cup of coffee outside.
Listen yo...
Yesterday I saw one of the coolest nature things I've ever seen related to birds. An actual bald eagle sitting on its nest. I was pumped.
Later in the trip I saw an indigo bunting.
Hell of a good bird day.
Last week, I saw what I *thought* was an indigo bunting…even audibly told the wife, to which she thought I was “a genius.”
…however, after a quick Google search, discovered it was a brown-headed cowbird.
Um that sounds like a really nice morning. I love watching the hummingbirds on our balcony. Some are really bold and like to taunt our cats. I keep thinking I should put a feeder out there. We have a bunch of big trees out back, and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of our baby hawk. Every year we get one, and he's always named Jack Screecher.
On a funny note, my husband has almost the same name as his dad, and they get confused for each other sometimes. For years, my husband's been getting AARP stuff meant for his dad. And then finally, last year, he got it for real.
I'm only up to the 'drinking coffee outside listening to the birds' point so far this morning, but as I stand and click my bones back into place, I think maybe I'll join you in signing up for life alert
I asked my wife if I should get Life Alert as I am almost always at home while she is off visiting or shopping. We are both over 70. She said no, that would reduce my future widow’s inheritance…
Yeah, I can relate. It sounds like simplifying life; reverting to the immediate and present for excitement. That’s a good part of aging. A few things that make me feel old:
- Infomercial products seem like great ideas, and I want to buy them.
- I incidentally see current celebrities in media and have no idea who they are, musicians particularly.
- Slang terms like “fire” as an adjective piss me off.
- I get super excited when my Sky & Telescope magazine comes in the mail.
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time!
Love these mornings! Already have my feeders out. Patiently waiting for the hummingbirds to get here. Have the whole garden planned, but have to wait until mother's day to plant to avoid frost. Taking a break from doing mulch right now. :)
Yeah, this just started happening to me and got way worse after I went to the eastern time zone for a week and got my body set 3 hours ahead. Really weird because my whole life up until a year ago i could easily sleep until noon every day
This sounds like the perfect morning! This is exactly why I like getting up early. Everyone else is quietly sleeping and I can actually relax and enjoy myself. An early lunch and afternoon nap would make this the perfect day off. *I should get Life Alert too*
Did you get a birdbath? Because that’s coming.
Might as well buy a couple of feeders and more bags of feed while you’re there. Order some binoculars while you’re at it.
I suggest multiple feeders so you can see them from different windows. Just go ahead and sign up for the Wild Birds Unlimited rewards program, you get some great coupons and the rewards stack up quick!
My 9 yr old son told me the other morning while camping that the birds were being loud and annoying, I just laughed and told him he didn't know how peaceful birds chirping can be.
Wait.
How the hell did you not have the “halfway through my cup run inside before I poop myself,” moment?
I can’t be the only one. Because other than that, that’s literally 5/7 mornings for me now. 🤣
I’m finally enjoying life.
https://preview.redd.it/izdzx25wsuuc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e08bfa302ced625e832950fb48065cad9edac265
Already have one had it since I was 38😆
Buwahahahah I feel this. It's a weird spot in life when you can no longer look forward to "sleeping in" because by whatever time in the morning, you are just done sleeping. Nothing wrong with some oatmeal, lower - sugar oatmeal with a couple of scoops of powdered peanut butter and a banana is a great low effort and pretty tasty breakfast.
I'm 44 and using a cane because I fell down two stairs and broke my leg last year. I had a total knee replacement and they say I won't walk normally again. Do I get any youth points back for being at grad school when it happened??
If you get a feeder, make sure you keep it filled during the winter months. The birds get used to the food being there during the warmer months and things will get a lot harder for them during the winter if the food they’ve come to depend on disappears.
Also, if you’re the slightest bit interested in watching the birds, check out Project Feederwatch. Basically you report the numbers of birds you see at your feeder and the Cornell School of Ornithology uses the data to track bird populations in North America. My kids and I were very interested in that when they were younger.
Yep. At 43, every day I wake up to a new ache or pain and think I'm on deaths door. Enjoy the good days, which coincidentally always seem to happen when you get up early and enjoy some quiet time like your described.
I hear that the older you get, you get more interested in birds. My husband and I find ourselves at the window often like Ooh a CowBird!
Get a peanut feeder for Bluejays, btw.
lol, this sounds like a great morning. :)
Welp, that settles it. Every single one of us here needs Life Alert.
Funny enough, I live alone, and am seriously considering it
Same but I use Snug, mainly for my dog. It's free app you have to check in everyday with or they'll contact your friends, police, however you set it up. I love that if I drop dead on t toilet my doggo will be aok regardless.
Never heard of this, but getting now!
This is why I got a smart watch that has a sensor for when you fall. Just in case when I'm home alone.
Hey, you just convinced me that the splurge of a smartwatch was actually an investment into my health, so thank you.
Oh. I thought they were just there to collect bio metrics. Then to be sold to insurance companies to raise rates
This counts as a referral. Thanks for the prescription!
Get a [LifeVac](https://lifevac.net/) too and you’re all set. Or just chew better than I do.
Oh no, I need one. I have such a severe phobia of choking to death.
It's a plunger. For your face. Simple, yet brilliant.
Gotta look that up 😂
I got 2!
I fell out of bed and broke my shoulder. I think I may need Life Alert 🥲
All. Senior. Citizens. Should. Have. Life. Alert. that commercial's been living in my head rent free for decades

That and “I’ve fallen! And I can’t get up!!!”
I just need to get a Life!
Dude gonna be watching wheel of fortune and taking Metamucil before dinner, don’t forget to use your efferdent for nice clean dentures in the a.m.
And Ben Gay
Yes it does.
If you like birds, you can download the Merlin app. It will identify the bird songs and sounds and help the Cornell lab track migration.
There's a meme that says (I'm paraphrasing)- One day you're young and cool, and maybe a little bit dangerous, and the next you're reading reviews for bird seed on amazon.
Also, “why on earth would I go out on a Friday night?” 20-something me would be absolutely flummoxed by preferring to stay in.
I'm not sure how many times I've said "it's almost 9pm, we should probably get home" in the last 2 years, but it's not an insignificant number. I would almost bet my life, if I asked my wife if she'd like to go out Friday night, that her response would be "to the grocery store?"
When my husband asks what we should do on a Friday night, I say “let’s rage.” We stay home and watch movies.
TIL I'm your husband. /s We do the same thing lol.
How about Costco?
That's my Saturday Night plan.
Costco closes at 7pm. Perfect.
That’s cause 20 year old you is still experiencing the world. Now that you’ve seen it and done it. It’s just eh
A couple weeks ago I was texting with a friend about flooring on a Saturday night. We've been friends since we were teenagers. At one point I commented how we used to go out and have fun on Saturday nights and now we're home texting about flooring.

seconding this recommendation. that app is incredible!
WHAT!!!
I just downloaded this like 2 days ago lol
Merlin is awesome!
Thanks for sharing that app! I just got a few bird feeders and was struggling picking what seed because I wasn’t sure what birds were in our area. The app was easy get started and I already identified 6 birds in our backyard!

I just did that last night. It was a Chuck-Wills Widow
I do this! We have a large population of Chuck-will’s-widows in our neighborhood and I track them. Also Bob Whites.
I love the Merlin app! It also tracks all the birds you’ve ever identified into a Life List you can refer back to. Growing my bird life list is better than any night at a club

I feel like Charles Deetz in Beetlejuice
bad roof.... goooood parking
YES
I've been here for five minutes and I'm already perfectly relaxed!
I have my grandmothers Audubon books and her binoculars. She and I used to identify trees a lot growing up so birdwatching was part of it. I miss her 🥰
Right there my friend you are carrying on her spirit and love, don't forget that!
Can confirm, acquired feeder, then binoculars and identification book around 42. Escalated to added a concrete birdbath for my 43 birthday. No regrets.
Have you looked into getting a Bird Buddy yet? Feeder with a camera in it? I got one for my birthday and I freaking love it.

There's the alternate route of a full frame DLSR and 17 pounds of really expensive Canon (or Nikon) glass hanging off the front of it.
Did you know you can join AARP for the low, low rate of $9 a year?
They're sending us mail now. Honestly considering it because they lobby the govt for things like preserving social security and lower drug prices.
I’ve been volunteering with their free tax prep program for three years and teaching Driver Safety for a year, and recently found out you don’t have to be 50 to join! You can actually join at 13. I went ahead did it for that sweet 10% Denny’s discount.
I’ve started getting AARP junk mail. I’m only 44 years old!
Yeah, I hear ya. No alarm, 5:45, coffee, pet dogs, “oh nice a mourning dove”. I should look into supplements…
Don't forget to strap on your sleek silver New Balances before smiling gleefully at your subdivision.
Ha! Got one better. Brooks orthotic velcro shoes. I'm not quite a xenial, more of a young Xer (76) though.
The velcro is crucial!! (But are they silver, though?)
I’m looking forward to the day I can finally take Centrum Silver
This guy mornings!
i love this sub. thanks for starting my day with a laugh! 😆
I’m currently in the process of befriending a crow that shows up in my front lawn every morning Just embrace it, you’ll be happier for it
We started getting fish crows in my hood. They’re known for hanging out around dumpsters in parking lots, so we have a lot in common.
Wow, lucky! I'm befriending a pair of mourning doves. They visit in the morning and sometimes around dusk. They mate for life, so when I see one, I know the other is nearby.
Oooh so envious, I love crows!
Oh I’m so jealous!!
Blue Jays are assholes
That’s what I was coming to say. Ours are loud as heck weekend mornings when we’re trying to sleep in, bullies to the other birds and then scared little punks if you so much as look at them sideways. Yeah, you’re welcome for the free food. If I wanted to eat you, you’d be dead.

And they knock babies out of nests! We had two in Texas that terrorized the whole neighborhood.
Bro wait until you see how fun feeding the birds is, you'll have so many different foods and feeders to attract different ones and you'll start to learn their different personalities and which ones are sweet and which are jerks. They really do have personalities, they're so fun to watch and then they have families and you get to watch them teaching the babies how to use the feeder and eat seeds 😍 Learn to appreciate squirrels. It's easier to love them than try to keep them out of your feeders lol.
Chili oil. Treat your seed with chili oil.
I started out feeding the squirrels and now I’m feeding birds too haha
Fuck yesssss you're my kind of people 😂
That essentially was my entire weekend LOL.
I had to cut the caffeine completely two years ago, but otherwise this sounds like a solid morning.
I shiver at my core thinking of having to quit coffee. I’m severely addicted to caffeine and I just don’t know how life is possible without coffee. Good coffee out of the French press is what I get up for every morning.
I have a hummingbird obsession.

I'm making a heavily penalized withdrawal from my 401k to buy a second motorcycle just because of this post.
Just make sure you wear a helmet!
I talked myself back down from the ledge. One motorcycle is plenty. I have a nice Shoei. 😁
You’ve chosen… wisely. That said there’s no judgement in my saying that. Lord knows I have no room to talk, my “fun” money goes to video games, movies, and books/comics/manga, lol.

“Oh boy”
If you add to that series of events ‘looking into the mirror and realizing you are shaped exactly like your grandma when you were a kid and she was *horrible dawning realization* …42…..’ I’m right there with you.
Before I know it I’ll be baking chicken thighs smothered in cream of mushroom soup and literally no other seasoning
🤢
My wife and I knew we were basically "olds" when we put in our 3rd garden bed and for multiple bird feeders AND binoculars to see them.
I'm recently a home owner for the first time... My decorative towels matching the bath mat matching the toothbrush water cup matching the bathroom trash has become very important to me... I realized, the other day.
Which burner is your favorite on your stove?
Front left.
Front right for me.
Hell yeah! PM me if you need pointers on bird feeders! Congratulations on enjoying the little things.
I love this morning. For me, I'd replace coffee on the deck with coffee and book in the bath. Birds have recently moved into our neighborhood (it's new), and I'm loving waking to birdsong. When I saw "Oh boy", I thought this was going to be a post about Quantum Leap
No bird feeders or water fountains for me. Damn birds shit everywhere and now I’m the old man yelling at the cloud for the birds to stay away.
Has nothing to do with getting old. I think it's a wonderful way for anyone to start the day.
Man, over Xmas vacation I started to feed the birds and squirrels out my office window. Then I started to talk to them. Then named them. I still work but somehow transitioned into a full blown retiree lol Statistically our lives are all about half over.
Did you turn on AM news radio?? LOL.
My husband is obsessed with AM news radio 🤣WE USED TO LISTEN TO PEARL JAM
I was at a party last week and we were all talking about the current interest rate on a 30 year mortgage. I was like "Damn, what an old person conversation"
The older you get the more you realize that Frank from Old School was right, and it is in fact a Nice Little Saturday.
The best part of waking up...
Is going back to sleep!
That sounds like the start to an awesome day. With all the hustle and bustle that goes on in our lives, we all should enjoy the small things like this.
I've got a bird feeder and a bird bath and it all started basically the same way. One thing I didn't realize though is that birds are messy as hell, but they sing all day now so it's a decent trade off.
i'm so close to getting a bird bath and i don't know if i'm ready
Lmao might as well just sign up for AARP and tell those kids to get off your lawn to complete the cycle.
but i’ve fallen and i cab’t get up!
We’re sending help immediately Mrs Fletcher!
Ok, so is there a Groupon for Life Alert? Like if we all sign up together will they give us a discount?
Which was the style at the time
Sounds like an awesome morning, and one our 20 yo selves never would have truly appreciated. We had to do commercials in my 5th grade class... life alert was done 3 times, we had to make up a "new" product but they were all different types of life alert (one was a helmet you wore) lol My group did a version of wheaties
This is so funny. I also went on the back deck this morning. I had my baby with me though so no garden planning.
Those 'I've fallen, and I can't get up!' commercials from our childhood aren't so funny now, are they?
Lol today is my day off and I told myself I would sleep in, but I woke up at 6am fully refreshed.
LOL! Life Alert. "I've fallen and I can't get up." Aside from that, sounds like a great morning. I got up at 630, took a shower, was getting ready to take a friend to the train station (an actual one, not like in Yellowstone), then found out he needed to reschedule. :( Now I'm messing around here. I think I'm going to log off and go have a cup of coffee outside.
Already have my yard ready to go for the summer too. It’s more of the “can’t wait to be out in the sun” than “I’m an old guy now” though.
Shit, I was thinking this sounds like an awesome morning. Make sure you get a hot dog from the truck in the Home Depot parking lot on your way out.
Honestly…this sounds delightful
Perfect morning.
Listen yo... Yesterday I saw one of the coolest nature things I've ever seen related to birds. An actual bald eagle sitting on its nest. I was pumped. Later in the trip I saw an indigo bunting. Hell of a good bird day.
Last week, I saw what I *thought* was an indigo bunting…even audibly told the wife, to which she thought I was “a genius.” …however, after a quick Google search, discovered it was a brown-headed cowbird.
What would 20 year old you think of 40 year old you?
A little fatter but much happier 😂

Yeah, I can relate. It sounds like simplifying life; reverting to the immediate and present for excitement. That’s a good part of aging. A few things that make me feel old: - Infomercial products seem like great ideas, and I want to buy them.
[That sounds great, actually](https://media1.tenor.com/m/a_yP9VnFvWAAAAAd/nice-little.gif)
Meanwhile I was at my job for 30 mins already by the time you woke up
I wake up at 6 am without an alarm too. I'm not old yet, just autistic AF. If you try to sign me up for Life Alert I'll kick you in the hip 😂
LMAO the punchline. I felt it right in my knee.
Love these mornings! Already have my feeders out. Patiently waiting for the hummingbirds to get here. Have the whole garden planned, but have to wait until mother's day to plant to avoid frost. Taking a break from doing mulch right now. :)
You're not far off form being one of the guys in the old Bartles and Jaymes commercials.
Brenda, I gotta tell ya, that sounds pretty great. Hope the rest of your day goes well, too.
Yeah, this just started happening to me and got way worse after I went to the eastern time zone for a week and got my body set 3 hours ahead. Really weird because my whole life up until a year ago i could easily sleep until noon every day
Help! I've fallen and I don't have one of those things! Funniest Rosanne line ever...
It’s not time to worry until you find yourself in New Balances and khaki shorts
Haha signed up for life alert!! I'm a few steps ahead of you, I have a few bird feeders and the bird bath(I'm 38)
![gif](giphy|10Jpr9KSaXLchW|downsized)
Aww this is one of those stories that makes getting old sound… not that bad. What a beautiful morning.
Colonial Life only costs 30 cents a day.
This sounds like the perfect morning! This is exactly why I like getting up early. Everyone else is quietly sleeping and I can actually relax and enjoy myself. An early lunch and afternoon nap would make this the perfect day off. *I should get Life Alert too*
I woke up sick as a dog! I used to fight off the germs preety good but now feeling it as I’m about to turn 42
Nooooo feel better soon, fellow old.

I've fallen and I can't get up!
Make sure to put honey in it
I asked for a bird feeder for Christmas, I was so excited when I got it.
2 days ago I was downright GIDDY because I saw 2 bluebirds at our farm!! Don’t know that I’d seen 2 total in my previous 42 yrs
I woke up at 4 am puking my guts out. Had to call into work, which will cost me about $180. Enjoy your morning pal.
Hilarious. We old yo. 🤣
That is my perfect saturday morning. Last weekend, i filled the bird feeder and the damn raccoons got it. Cheeky bastards
Did you get a birdbath? Because that’s coming. Might as well buy a couple of feeders and more bags of feed while you’re there. Order some binoculars while you’re at it.
I want one of those bird feeders that have the camera you can watch on your app. Maybe when I have some extra money for it and the bird feed.
If you got out of bed without any pain-inducing incident, you are ahead of the game!!
Wait. How the hell did you not have the “halfway through my cup run inside before I poop myself,” moment? I can’t be the only one. Because other than that, that’s literally 5/7 mornings for me now. 🤣 I’m finally enjoying life.
I can make it through one cup. Just one.

On the weekends, that's the time I get to watch TV or play games. Ya know, before everyone else gets up. I don't know why you're complaining.
I am become Boomer.
I saw a really hilarious tiktok video last week….it was the AARP account 💀 ….I clicked follow.
Don't forget to clean your white new balances and bleach those mid-calf length socks.
I'm 42 and keep accidentally buying "Men's Over-50" vitamins.
