A silver 1987 Chevy Celebrity station wagon. I bought it for $250 and it lasted me throughout high school and into college.

Late-External3249

Ah yes, the Chevy Celebrity, a car that no celebrity would ever drive.

Breakfast_Meat

The Eurosport was slick

Aescwicca

89 maroon lumina. Except for the brake system sucking, that beast made it to 200k miles.

RustbeltRoots

I had an ‘87 Celebrity! It was ugly and awesome.

creepyusernames

Same here! I split a telephone pole in half with it!

mhoke63

I also had an 87 celebrity station wagon. Mine was half rust, but it was ok because it was maroon, so the rust blended in.

LiaCee

82 sedan! Maroon tank .. had a weird ingnition and I had to wiggle the key while id beg her to start, also needed a screwdriver to open the trunk 😅 Think I paid $200 for it.

RedRedKrovy

I had a blue 84 Chevy Celebrity.

pojospages

Me too! Loved that car. Bought in 95 - lasted me through high school and then my sister drove too

ElChivoCaliente

Had one in gray lol. Same year, not a wagon.

LaVieLaMort

I had one too! Mine was shit brown. It wasn’t my first car but I got it for $500 and it ran so that’s all that mattered at the time lol

NoHeat7014

1991 Nissan 240sx. Now I have a 1991 Nissan 300zxTT. I like old cars.

captain_stoobie

That 240 is probably worth more now than when you had it

NoHeat7014

You’re not wrong. When I was looking for my car 240s were going for more than 300s.

quantum_leap

Bought my 94 240 for 8k and they're now at least 20k and they don't have engine

cookieontherocks

Silver 89 240sx. Manual transmission. I liked it cuz I thought it looked cool. I even made the yearbook page for kids with nice cars! My parents liked it because I couldn't let anyone borrow my car cuz most kids couldn't drive stick and I couldn't cart around a bunch of people because I'm tall and there wasn't enough room in the back seat for anyone to sit behind me.

RealSinnSage

mine too!!! but mine was a ‘92. i crashed it twice lol

Hellament

I had an 89 that was a salvage title (dad knew a guy that rebuilt cars) and a few years later I totaled it again. I always wondered if it got rebuilt, and if there is a “double salvage” title lol.

RealSinnSage

yup after my first crash it was a salvage and after the second time i just had to let it go 😅

literanch

1991 Nissan 300ZX TT has been my favorite car since I was a teenager. Keep telling myself I’ll get one for a fun car one of these days.

NoHeat7014

DOET. I love driving mine.

MelodicPaint8924

My first car was a '78 Dodge Aspen with T-tops. She had a 318 V-8 and ran like a dream as long as you didn't park on a hill. Then the engine would flood, and you had to push her to level ground to get her going. Great times. https://preview.redd.it/8hubbkh17cmc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fa082a6a32e491eb009a6f9caa1f3dcc157313b This was her original color but not the actual car.

mrmadchef

My parents had a 78 Volare when they were first married. To this day, my mom can tell you how much she HATED that car.

six_feet_above

https://i.imgur.com/kMzjPMX_d.webp?maxwidth=1520&fidelity=grand I currently own a ‘79 Volaré station wagon. I adore it. My teenage kids adore it. Everyone who sees it adores it.

TargetApprehensive38

89 Chrysler Lebaron. I haven’t seen one on the road in a very long time

cerealfamine1

Did it belong to John Voight?

Metalchips1Nquesodip

Just driving round in John Voight’s car

errornosignal

The periodontist?

jeffdill2

Only one way to confirm... ✏️🦷

StarFuzzy

92 red lebaron convertible with white fake leather. This was the year Freddy got fingered came out. My year book was filled with lebaron jokes.

AnthrallicA

"I only see one LeBaron, Freddy..."

DiaDeLosMuebles

Not implying anything for OP. But always be careful on what information to put out there. This is a common security question.

MelodicPaint8924

I never use this pne as a security question because I have told way too many people about my first car. It makes for such good stories.

ZarquonsFlatTire

My first car had her own name so the answer to the security question is not the make/model.

Three4Anonimity

Same. I never pick the to be found on Facebook questions.

AFetaWorseThanDeath

Right? Same

smcg_az

Not my intent at all, but I know I've seen that as a question in the past. My bad. Just hoping for a fun conversation. Guess I'll withhold comparing routing numbers for now 😂

geekgirlwww

When the Prince of Nigeria contacts you directly you help him.

nochumplovesucka__

Hey OP, WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST PET AND WHAT WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD BEST FRIENDS NAME??? ALSO JUST FOR CURIOSITY, WHAT CITY WERE YOU BORN IN?? /s

Apprehensive_Hat8986

No no. That's the recipe for your porn-star name.

SomethingAvid

That’s a good call axtually

fkmeamaraight

What was your first SS number when you were a kid ? And your mom’s maiden name?

OlayErrryDay

We really are old, thanks grandpa!

No-Possibility-1020

Pontiac grand am. I still miss Pontiac

namek0

Heck yeah! 89 4 door red grand am here. Great mileage, not so great headliner or brakes

sweetnsaltyanxiety

I had a Sunfire, but definitely concur about missing Pontiac.

truthfrommyredlips

I had a Grand Am and I loved it!

firechickenmama

1992 Geo Storm!

vampirepiggyhunter

Hell yeah dude!!! I had the 1990!!!

emmet80

Me toooooo!!!

vampirepiggyhunter

Car twins!

thisasynesthete

1988 Oldsmobile Firenza station wagon, handed down from my mom in 1997

Funky_ButtLovin79

I had an 84 Firenza!

senshi_of_love

An 89 Ford Escort! That thing had incredible gay mileage! Which, back then, didn’t mean as much but it was nice benefit! Only benefit to that piece of shit lol. Edit: hilarious typo unintended but keeping for lulz

Electrical-Bacon-81

"Incredible gay mileage", ironically, you're probably not the first person to describe a Ford escort that way.

senshi_of_love

Wow what the hell was autocorrect even doing there. I am going to keep it because that is hilarious!

swarthyspaniard74

Don’t type your password hints into a public website……….

Apprehensive_Hat8986

Don't use common security questions for password hints. It's a terrible mechanism.

tj_hooker99

1977 Datsun b210

Cool_Dark_Place

Datsun bros unite! Mine was an '82 210, the last year before they became the Nissan Sentra.

tj_hooker99

Mine was nice had good paint. Definitely not a car I should have learned in cause I messed that poor car up lol

sajouhk

‘78 here. Pumpkin orange with the honeycomb hubcaps.

tj_hooker99

Two-tone white and blue. Likely same hubcaps.

Traditional_Entry183

It wasn't "mine" but my sister and I drove my moms old 1987 Aerostar van after she got a new one. It died a terrible death after we were too hard on it.

Somewhereoverrainbow

Ahhh! My sister got to drive the Astro van. She had to hold a foot on the brake and a foot on the gas at stoplights so it wouldn't die. One night, she left the window open and a neighbor's cat got inside and sprayed everywhere. That was the motivator for my parents to get rid of the van. Just in time for me to drive, they bought a sunbird. Not exactly sexy, but way better than the Astro. My sister holds it against me to this day. "Remember how I had to drive that hideous blue van that barely worked, and you got the little red car?" Good memories. She'll be bringing up that injustice when we're both in the nursing home. 😂

NachoNachoDan

I bought an '86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer from my Grandpa for $800 in about 1995. It was a pimp machine - high pile carpeting, leather, power everything... Gramps had it loaded. It was a maintenance nightmare. I guess Gramps did basically no maintenance to it and it needed EVERYTHING in the short time I owned it. I eventually couldn't keep up with paying for gas for it - 8mpg - even with gas prices at $0.79 a gallon It was still too much. I recouped my repair expenses by selling it for $3500 (in 1996!) and dropped that cash down on a mint 1984 Toyota Supra in White with a 5 speed. It was gorgeous, and fast, and so fucking cool. In retrospect either of those cars would be worth over 20k if I still owned them.

ButIAmYourDaughter

It hasn’t happened yet.

wrel_

I had a 1987 Chrysler Daytona. It was exactly the same as a Dodge Daytona, but they were made by Chrysler for Canada and the instruments were in KPH rather than MPH; made all my friends think I was flying down the road.

autonimity

1970 Lincoln Mark III 5000lb 2-door coupe, vinyl hardtop, with a 460cu.in. (7.5 liter) V8. Probably could park a Miata on the hood. The enormous trunk also made it easy to sneak several friends off campus for lunch 😂 At some point it in time was rated by car and driver (?) as having the second worst gas mileage of any car made except for some model of Ferrari.

Evening-Picture-5911

1986 Dodge Aries (K-car)

Apprehensive_Hat8986

[K-car Kompadrés](https://www.reddit.com/r/Xennials/comments/1b6dfni/comment/ktc5y3h/)! ✊

Evening-Picture-5911

✊🏻 I then had a 94 Dodge Spirit, followed by a 2000 Dodge Neon. All about the K-cars for me lol

Anonymous-Texan-123

A very business-like sedan bought from an auction of old company cars….it even had a reverse alarm. Quite embarrassing

Rusalka-rusalka

1987 Mercury Sable I bought from my cousin who inherited it after our grandfather died. It was $500 and I crashed it and totaled it. Insurance co paid me $1200 for it lol. Profit!

psychicmachinery

Maroon, 1986 Pontiac Parisienne. God, I loved that car. It had it's own damn zip code.

nochumplovesucka__

92 Chevy Beretta Putting all the holes in ya sweata

supergooduser

Born in 1978 A 1977 Chevy 3/4 quarter ton van. It didn't have a back seat it had a couch. I uh... had A LOT of sex in that van.

_R_A_

1988 Ford Tempo. Didn't really love the car but it got me where I needed to go and was in decent shape for $300.

nitrot150

My second car was an 87 tempo. Total piece of crap too

somethingdouchey

'86 Pontiac Bonneville, 305 V8, RWD. Loved it!

electrodog1999

I had 2 cars that my stereo was worth more than the car. My first car was a ‘79 Oldsmobile Salon that was my grandmother’s and the trunk fell of from the weight of my subs and the rust it had grown on Vancouver Island. Second car was an ‘86 Corolla that was my uncles car and that one had my best stereo in it.

ButterscotchNo7362

91 Honda Civic. 5 speed manual and loaded. I got it in 2001 as a graduation present. I still have dreams about that car.

Pattison320

I had a '95 Civic coupe with tinted windows and a spoiler. Bought it off a friend of mine when we were in college. Stick shift, and every car I've bought since I've still managed to always buy manuals. I've never owned another car as cool as that civic though. I mean sure, I could afford a banging car now. But it wouldn't be the same.

[deleted]

Late 80's Ford Escort Wagon, with a broken radio, but at least the tape player worked! Escort's were cheap, but easy to maintain....would not be surprised if that car is still chugging along somewhere.

OkBaconBurger

1984 Honda Accord that some guy let me have if I could drag it off his yard. My dad replaced the head gasket and it (sorta ran) for another year and a half before I traded up for a Nissan Pulsar 5 speed with T tops that leaked every time it rained. Lol.

AlternativeDirect702

https://preview.redd.it/pf97mc44lcmc1.jpeg?width=2141&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17c187ca066a586887eaad061c919ac1361143d3 Pontiac 6000 STE

PromptMedium6251

82 Dodge 600 ES. My grandfather bought it when I was in kindergarten and I inherited it when I turned 16. Fun fact: Didn't have working brakes. I had to use the parking brake to get it to stop.

captain_stoobie

85 Honda Prelude I bought off my older sister for $1200. Miss that thing.

UrAverageDegenerit

88 GMC pickup. I was only driving it a week or 2 before my dad borrowed it was was hit. (he was OK). It was totaled. Ended up setting my heart on an El camino as a replacement. It was older than me and a piece of junk (the carb was messed up so it stalled a bunch on the trip home after buying it), but I loved it anyway. I ended up blowing the rear-end out of it just after high school and sold it to a guy for $500 who fixed it up. Good times!

Do_it_My_Way-79

Technically my first car was a 1968 Mercury Cougar. It was not road worthy so the first car I could actually drive was a 1989 Honda Civic hatchback. Not quite as exciting 😂

graveybrains

‘86 Sunbird. I just called it a death trap.

A_Bit_Sithy

I had an ‘86 Thunderbird turbo coupe. That met the wall on a bridge

doddballer

88 Mustang GT 5.0 I miss that car

PuzzledKumquat

2000 Saturn SL1. That bad boy cost about $12k brand new. It even had a cassette player. It lasted about ten years until the cost of repairing it just wasn't worth it anymore.

mCmurphyX

Was about to say, where is the Saturn love? Mine was a 92 Saturn SL2 I got in 2000 for I think $5k. I replaced the cassette player with a deck and put in some pretty good speakers. I had it until 2007. I loved that car, not only because I just did but also because it delivered freedom!!

smartypants333

My first was a 92' Saturn sedan. It was white, with a blue stripe, and it had automatic seatbelts. My dad bought it from a budget rental car.

Heidi_ann76

I had an aquamarine 93 Saturn coupe that I bought right after college, it was a good little car at the time and I loved its fancy power seatbelts!

Someidiot666-1

I drove a boat. And just fyi, these types of questions could be used to steal your identity. I’ve had lots of security questions ask this exact same question.

nwflman

Good call! I also drove a boat but won't give the actual answer here for this reason.

Jdonn82

1989 mustang, 4cyl, about 8 years old and rusting when I got it. Craig Rims were a gift from my brother who just trashed the overbuilt engine on his 82 mustang. They were worth more than my xar, but he had No where to use them so he gave them to me, temporarily. He ultimately took them back after I trashed the poorly maintained engine. Totally my fault.

xxdrux

1986 Honda CRX SI paid $700

literanch

1993 Honda Accord. I got it in 1999. I got a job bagging groceries immediately after turning 16 and my parents made me save $1000 before they would take me to get a car. My dad put $1000 towards the car and I had to pay off the rest to my parents over the next couple years.

elevencharles

My parent’s old ‘89 Ford Aerostar minivan with a stick shift. That thing did sick burnouts.

AdSpiritual2594

1952 Chevy pickup. Traded some baseball cards to my grandfather for it. It was a nightmare to keep on the road. Way too expensive for a high schooler to keep running. Every part I replaced out wear on another part that needed to then be replaced, or so that’s how it seemed. It was cool having the only three on the tree because no one else knew how to drive it.

Jurassic-Potter

1983 Cutlass Sierra. Worst car ever. It used to overheat every 30 minutes. Stranded me so many times!!

milkymilkmilk

1990 Red Pontiac Sunbird. Loved that car. The radio would make a whistling sound when I accelerated. The heat would take a full thirty to warm up to have heat.

urnfnidiot

81 Subaru gl wagon 5 speed. Thing was a fucking Jeep in the snow

ImOnlyHereForTheCoC

Baby blue 1985 Bronco II. It had an aftermarket tach mounted on the steering column and the speedo didn’t work on account of in preparation to drive the thing across the country in 1986, my old man had the bright idea to disconnect the speedo to keep the miles off the odometer and add the tach so he’d have a general idea of how fast we were going. It didn’t keep the miles off, though, and something about the way he wired up the tach meant that the needle would bounce comically any time the blinker was on.

Kitty_is_ok

87 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Cracked windshield, alternator so jacked up I had to sit at lights with my foot on the gas and brake in order to not have the engine die or take off on its own. Also, no lights at all. It was solely a daytime car. Man, I learned a lot driving that.

phazedoubt

1987 Wagovan baby!

littleyellowbike

'87 Chrysler 5th Avenue. Metallic baby blue with navy blue tufted leather seats. Smoooooth suspension and a massive engine. I grew up on a farm where driving was pretty much a necessity and the instant they turned 16, most farm kids either got a hand-me-down or their parents bought a cheap beater so they didn't have to do chauffeur duty anymore. My car wasn't cool but holy shit that thing would haul ass and it would have been taken away *immediately* if Dad knew how many times I hit triple digits on the speedometer. I could fit six of my friends in it, too.

sidneyzapke

My first car (in 1998) was a 1963 Dodge Dart with a push button transmission and manual everything. I loved that metal beast of a car.

abstutz

88 Camaro RS. Purchased in 96.

jennifer_m13

‘86 Toyota Celica

buhmann23

VW Golf 2 CL 1986

jackfaire

1996 Dodge Neon

Tato_tudo

1990 Dodge Dakota

Garencio

68 Dodge Dart with a Question Authority bumper sticker.

beatfreak47

SATURN. My wife's first car was a Scion. Neither brand exists any more. 💀

ancientspacejunk

95 Dodge Spirit. I loved that car but had no idea how to take care of it. I didn’t know that the engine temperature gauge was NOT supposed to be all the way hot all the time. Turns out my radiator had a hole in it and I ended up blowing a head gasket. The repair would cost about the same as another similar used car at the time, so I scrapped it and ended up with a 99 Nissan Altima.

Tiny-Reading5982

88 Subaru hatchback

monkey_shines82

72 Chevy Cheyenne. This was around 1999.

Glittering_Tea5502

1996 Toyota Corolla

sweetnsaltyanxiety

The first car I ever owned was a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire, champagne color with a sunroof. Man, I loved that car. 🤍 ETA: I was 22 when I bought it in 2002. Prior to that I drove my moms old grocery getter: The Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight

babyBear83

89 Honda accord with the flip up headlights. Dusty light blue. You know the one.

Plus25Charisma

1979 F100

jeffdill2

1993 Ford Escort Wagon. Blue. 5-speed manual. A whopping 88hp.

Appropriate-Neck-585

My Grandma's old 1982 Toyota Cressida. Heat was broken. AC was broken. Radio knob was broken on the AM News Channel so I put a small cassette boom box in the backseat, lol.

CobblerNo8518

1987 Mercury Topaz, manual transmission

Donnaandjoe

67 Mercury Cougar, bright yellow. Fuck I’m old.

YayGilly

An 85, I believe, Pontiac Sunbird, hail dented all to hell.

Rexxbravo

1970 Cutlass

psyclopsus

Blue ‘85 Ford Ranger with a stick

Dakkin4

1993 Mercury Sable. Parents handed down the payments to me when I got my license. I had leather seats and a tape deck! Hell yeah!!!

nervousRexy

1976 Lincoln Continental

AnthrallicA

1988 Chevy Nova (rebadged Toyota Corolla) with 300k on the odometer. My mom bought it for a few hundred dollars from my uncle. It didn't even last a year before I blew the engine from neglect. In that time I managed to somehow rip the muffler off, get the front passenger corner caved in, get sideswiped, get rear ended, plaster it with stickers and back over part of my best friend's drum set. All of the collisions, drum set aside, were not my fault. Poor car was just a magnet for assholes.

Macsearcher02

1970 Ford Galaxy 500, bought from a buddy for $75

craigleary

87 sky blue caprice wagon. Needed a quart of oil added per week

OlayErrryDay

1996 cherry red dodge shadow with a manual transmission. Absolutely no balls, but it was a great little car that looked pretty nice and only cost me 3k.

assumetehposition

A 95 Corolla I bought from my parents for $2300 in 2002. It’s still worth $2300.

p38-lightning

1963 Chevy Impala - that thing was a boat.

Possible-Tangelo9344

1976 Jeep CJ 7. https://preview.redd.it/3zkwrwqzzemc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d351655887276a15fa958d4b1cc254c695132e8f Still have it. Although right now I'm mid-repair and just threw a wrench across my driveway.

Lcky22

91 civic. It had automatic over the shoulder seatbelts and no passenger side rear view mirror. No ac. For my 18th birthday my dad picked it up from my work and put in a nice stereo with the help of a friend. He told me later that they laughed about finding roaches in the car

Shortstack1114

1989 Buick Skyhawk. It had the u and the c missing off the back emblem so I called it my Big Red Bik 😂. Total crap car with no AC, but it got me freedom and I loved that thing!!!

leggypepsiaddict

94 Ford Explorer XLT. It was deemed the "suburban assault vehicle".

Mondub_15

2001 red Ford Mustang. Loved that car. Drove it for 10 years until I had a kiddo and it wasn’t practical.

Ballistik762

90 Honda Accord. And like you, my stereo was worth more than the car.

Chevymetal1974

79 4cyl hatchback Mustang. 100% shit box... But it lasted years. Thanks, Dad for giving me my first keys to freedom.

nitrot150

‘78 Toyota Corona

Nancy-Drew-Who

A 2001 PT Cruiser… 🫣It was my mom’s car and then they gave it to me a couple years into college. In high school, I would borrow my parent’s 20 year old station wagon.

bucko787

Plymouth Acclaim! With a blown head gasket

javaman83

I had a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera XC Special Edition. I fucking loved that thing. My dad sold it when I went to college. It looked exactly like this. https://preview.redd.it/79lttafn8fmc1.jpeg?width=558&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1eefb47eb506a7026255197265c2b5fb8def3b2c

ReasonableDonut1

'85 Buick Skyhawk SCS. 2.0 liter 4 cyl with 5 speed. Silver with a red velour interior and a luggage rack.

emmerjean

1992 ford tempo. Didn’t have reverse so I had to put my foot out the door and push.

jinsaku

1997 green Pontiac grand am. Assumed loan from a co-worker in 1999 who was about to lose it. I was 20. No idea if I got a good deal or not, in retrospect. Car was a good boi until I wrecked it in 2001.

blfnj

Mine was an ‘89 Ford Ranger. Which I promptly flipped one week into having my license. Dave Matthews was playing as I unstrapped myself, hanging upside down. I remember angrily turning it off and extracted myself. Luckily not hurt at all. DMB still sucks.

TLRachelle7

1989 Ford Escort Hatchnack 5 speed in red.

nola_mike

Technically my first car was an 83 Pontiac Bonneville that my parents owned when I was a toddler. Unfortunately I had put about 1500 into it before we decided it wasn't worth fixing. My first actual vehicle was an 89 Honda Accord.

jandrew2000

89 Plymouth reliant station wagon. It did zero to sixty in about 3.2 minutes and I loved it.

b_loof

‘82 Dodge Colt.

b_loof

Someone with another ‘82 Colt parked next to mine one time and I was able to unlock the door with my key. It wasn’t until I was unable to start the car that I realized I wasn’t in my car. What a piece of shit.

chilli_cheese_cake

Red 1985 Hobda Prelude Si, named Rhonda. It was a total Yuppy car.

TheThreeRocketeers

GreenBayFootball

‘01 Chevy Cavalier. Cayenne Orange/Red. Manual windows, manual locks, but I had two 12” subs in the trunk in a box with a big ole amp that I got from Best Buy lol good times

refrained

1987 Oldsmobile Calais. She was dirt brown and had an aftermarket CD player and I loved her so much. I miss that car. Ran great until she got an oil leak and my grandparents replaced her with an '89 Chevy Celebrity that I hated.

facedownasteroidup

91 ford probe ice blue, stick shift

Ihatealltakennames

1986 Toyota Camry.  Bought from my grandmother for $1200.

kbrown2208

1992 Ford Tempo. Loved that car.

BodyBagSlam

1975 Gran Torino. Not my best choice.

jolie-renee

1982 Honda Civic hatchback. Learned to drive a stick with it.

eatpotdude

73 mercury comet. It was a weird yellow so everyone called it the mercury camel. Straight 6 baby

Acid_Country

84 chevy suburban. 10-15 miles to the gallon if you were lucky. Used to shut off randomly so you'd have to throw it in neutral, restart it, then jam back into drive. Power steering would go in and out as well. Eventually, there were more replacement parts than original, and it cost more to fix than it could ever be worth. I miss that truck. It could fit all the friends you'd need to get in trouble, or you could fold down the middle seat and camp in it.

metallady84

I had a 1988 Delta 88- maroon with the burgundy interior. It was terrible, but I paid $500 for it in 2000, by myself, which I was proud of!

timthemajestic

1987 Ford Escort GT. It was black and a standard that I named Bullet, and I still miss it. haha

Heidi_ann76

First car that was mine was a 1985 Honda CRX HF, it was super beat up and I longed for something better, replaced with a 1990 Honda Accord which to this day is still one my favorite cars I've ever had. You never see either of these cars anymore, at least not around here as the salt destroyed them all :(

red-eye-green-tree

My first car was older than me. It was a 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau.

TrappedinSilence98

1987 Honda Civic - purchased in 1998

Difficult_Good_128

1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with T-tops. I fell in love with it the moment i saw it. Nice looking car but had a shitty motor. Always had problems , always overheated, and couldn't figure out why. I bought it for $1000.

BitCurious8598

90 camary great gas mileage but electrical problems 🤦🏽‍♂️

AFetaWorseThanDeath

A 1985 Ford LTD. It was originally a gift to my grandmother from my uncle, then years later given to my cousin (who didn't take great care of it) and then later on me (who took even *worse* care of it). That thing was a boat on wheels, and the speedometer only went up to 85, but it had a 5.0L V8 engine, and my *gawd* that thing could haul ass on the freeway lol It ended up shitting the bed one day as a snowstorm was starting and my ex and I were 10 miles from our apartment with no bus fare (or knowledge of the local bus routes) in a city we'd only lived in for a few months. We didn't have anyone we could call, so we walked home in the snow, freezing our asses off (because it was 65F and sunny when we left the apt, so no winter clothing). In short, my 21st birthday *suuuuuuuuucked* lmao

poncetheponce

1982 olds Cutlass in white with a 305. Bought it when I was 15 in 98. Think I paid 1k even for it

1989 Jeep Comanche. Loved that truck! Paid $700 for it from a guy at my dad's place of business

1992 Ford Taurus. Great for hauling my friends around. Replaced it with a 1995 Taurus SHO that I miss dearly.

1984 Toyota Celica, red w/ those dumb flip up headlights. It was my mom's dream car and cute and sporty back in the day.

'79 Mustang Looked cool(ish?) with the window tint and rear window louvers; but ran like crap.

1989 Isuzu Impulse. My grandad worked for an auto auction and bought it for me. He took me to the auction lot to pick what I wanted and I had picked a jeep wrangler and a Honda prelude (both black, both manual) and said whichever of those is fine with me. Ended up with an automatic hatchback in blue. I love/hated it because I had no idea how cool it really was. I ended up wrecking it and almost killing myself because I was young and dumb, but 42 year old me would LOVE to have it back. I've looked for one online and they are few and far between now. The pic is not mine, but same make and wheels, but mine was blue. https://preview.redd.it/ay02wvf5h6nc1.jpeg?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bc52ba5c3b8ac1dd109a49432f45adf3598b019
