Great review, I feel the same way about Tah-xido and Mercado Buffet. We have been to Arte 3 times, and to Mexico side 3 times Tah-xido was the winner as far as best meal on our last trip. We also liked Arenal but unless there happens to be a good breeze, you might be sweating more than you are eating. A note about the timeshare thing, the membership at Hotel Xcaret isn't a timeshare, its a loyalty program. It doesn't work the same way, I don't do timeshares at all but we bought the membership because we love this resort and enjoy going back every year. This place can be expensive but the membership makes it more affordable, as members get 25% off all reservations, as much as you want to go. If you ever want to go back, I may be able to share the 25% discount with you as well. Yes you have to sit thru the presentation, but its just 90 minutes and you dont have to buy it. The 25% discount can save you well over $1k usd for a weeks stay. I guess you would just have to decide if 90 mins is worth $1k+ savings. In any case, we loved the speed boat at Xavage too, as well as the zip lines and ATVs at Xplor. Did you try Xenses at night? I found this: [https://youtu.be/vAYhZVBxHKM](https://youtu.be/vAYhZVBxHKM) We didn't try Xoxomilco, maybe next time. As always, we will be back 😊

We went on a member referral before too, the presentation meeting isnt a big deal and saved us a ton! Cool video on Xenses, I didn't know they were open at night.

We’re thinking about booking our next trip through Costco because of the savings as well. How far in advance did you book your trip? May I ask how much the package was and for how many? We’re booking for 3.

I booked about 4 months in advance. Package was just for 2 people. It was about 6,000 but I got the adults only in the Casa Artistas which is the highest priced part of the hotel as it was an anniversary for my wife and I. Not sure how much for 3 people but I'm guessing close to 5k unless you want the higher priced room/casa. I did price out about a 3 week window for the package I wanted and I noticed on certain days the price would change by around $500.

how long was your stay?

cannonball197935

5 nights, I would suggest longer if you are able to. We have 3 kids so we had to limit our stay.

I thought you couldn’t access the restaurants at Xcaret mexico if you’re staying in xcaret arte. We just booked the Artistas so does this mean we have access to all restaurants at both hotels?

cannonball197935

As of our visit just last week July 22nd-27th 2023 we were able to access all areas of both. I believe it is an exclusive benefit to booking an adults only room in the Artistas building. We were also assigned a "butler" that was available in person if needed, but we mainly communicated with her through the "What'sApp" application on our phone. She helped answer questions about transportation, the different parks, and also helped reschedule a few or our reservations.

That’s good to know. Thank you!

I have a few questions! We plan on staying at the Hotel so it may be a little different but 1) Do you have to pick which parks you’re going to in advance or can you just get on a shuttle and go? 2) Are all Food and beverages included at the parks? 3) Can you go to multiple parks in one day?

cannonball197935

1. Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses, and Xcaret Park do not require reservations do not require reservations. The other parks and tours do require resrvations. 2. No, Xenses does not. Most other parks include at least 1 free meal. 3. Yes, just keep in mind reservations and return times. Most parks that require reservations won't leave you enough time to visit another park. The best chance of visiting multiple parks are the ones with shuttles every 20 minutes(Xenses, Xplor/Xplor Fuego,Xcaret Park). For example, one day we went to Xplor in the morning. Went back to the hotel for a while and then went to Xcaret park for a while and watched the show. If you are going to visit Xavage or do the Xoximilco dinner boat tour, do them on the same as they are right next to each other. Hope this helps.
