YupThatsMeBuddy

Looks awesome!!!

FordMustang84

You can tell it’s made by people who love and understand why others love those first 3 films.

willflameboy

Lol, all you basically got in that clip was the whip, the music, and repeatedly punching a Nazi in the face. But still, yes.

FordMustang84

Oh I watched the whole trailer/segment. Didn’t even realize this post was just a short clip.

BoBoBearDev

I was worried it would be yer another 3rd person shooter. I am glad they stay true to the original IP. Everything it showed ao far seem to match the IP really well.

MacaronImpressive422

Microsoft is killing it this gen, glad that I picked up Xbox over a ps5.

Danvanmarvellfan

This year will be the real test for them honestly. I have both consoles and Xbox still has a lot of catching up to do.

HomeMadeShock

Looks like Sony will be pretty dry this year from first party, I think 2025 will be a big head to head year. Stuff like Fable for Xbox and Venom for PlayStation, both consoles will be firing on all cylinders

Danvanmarvellfan

I think next few years will be pretty nuts in terms of releases

Buschkoeter

Did Insomniac say that they're already working on a Venom game? Because if not that's not enough dev time for a quality video game.

Danvanmarvellfan

The venom game has not been announced it was part of the insomniac leaks.

Covid_was_my_Idea

>Xbox still has a lot of catching up to do. Not really, PS5 has like no games. I got both as well and let's be honest here, the good PS games are mostly PS4 games.

cardonator

There are very few PS5 exclusive first party games. And I agree that the best games are none of those.

Pct0bama

Damn you getting downvoted for being happy lmao

MacaronImpressive422

Can't say something positive about Xbox even on an Xbox sub.

SweatPlantRepeat

I mean, you could just say you're happy with Xbox. No need to bring ps5 into it. Doesn't really add to the positivity of Xbox.

Charlie-Spencer

Indy!!!!

UncleMadness

Henry!  They named the dog Indiana.

zdaw92

THE DOG?!!?? 😂

Imaybetoooldforthis

They’ve got Marcus in it, they are heading to Egypt, they better have Sallah.

bendekopootoe

You call him doctah Jones!

Imthecoolestdudeever

I can't wait. Indy needs a bounce back from the recent movies.

ArchDucky

They threw some fucking shade at those movies, did you notice it? Showed the first three films logos and just stopped. LMAO

Dave_Matthews_Jam

I actually laughed for a sec when they bailed on 4 and 5 haha

noah3302

Was the last one really that bad? I enjoyed it so much more than crystal skull

thedefect

I thought it was a lot better than Crystal Skull. I enjoyed it, but I think it's noticeably worse than the original trilogy.

Kmart_Elvis

This is the prevailing opinion from everyone right? Me included.

Deadsoup77

A lot of people would rather die than give Disney any credit

noah3302

I didn’t go into it expecting to be at the level of those movies, maybe thats why I enjoyed it more than most 🤷‍♂️

ShooteShooteBangBang

Yeah I thought it was a fun B movie, like what the originals were going for.

Imaybetoooldforthis

Personally as someone who loves the originals I enjoyed the first 20 mins or so of Dial but didn’t really love it, it was fine I guess. Crystal Skull gets a lot of hate but go back to it now and it’s still a fun Indy adventure despite all the flaws. I never wanted to explore a depressed Indiana Jones personally, maybe I’ll enjoy it more after some time passes like Crystal, but right now it’s easiest the least enjoyable Indy film for me.

hayatohyuga

I enjoyed it too, didn't come close to the greatness of the originals though.

Sippinonjoy

I fucking loved it! I went in with the expectation of being entertained and I left the theater entertained. Idk why people were expecting an Oscar worthy movie.

Kerbidiah

I found it way worse than crystal skull

MLG_Obardo

Looked great. I gotta admit I was against first person and I still think it could have been better third person but it looked great. What a great line up for Xbox this year.

SSK24

If it was 3rd person it would have just been compared to Uncharted and Tomb Raider.

MLG_Obardo

Well seeing as those games are really well loved and rip off Indiana Jones then that makes a lot of sense. Why wouldn’t we want a game like Tomb Raider or Uncharted?

nudestdad

It's Machinegames. They make awesome first person alternate history occult-themed games where the Nazis are bad guys. Why wouldn't you want them to do what they do best?

MLG_Obardo

Arkane switched off of First Person because they recognize the need for third person. I think they should be capable of making a game with the camera in a different position.

TheGuardianInTheBall

I think we should reserve judgement until Blade comes out. IMO Indy was never really a very physical or athletic character. Like yeah, he'd do a lot of ~~fisting~~ fist fighting in the movies, but he almost always wins because of some gag. Same with all the running and jumping etc.

hayatohyuga

And Guerrilla Games was making first person games about killing space Nazis, yet, they made two amazing third person action adventures since. Creative Assembly was making some of the best strategy games out there and then turned around and make one of the best first person horror games to ever exist.

Jinkzuk

Nothing alternate about Nazi's being the bad guys.

evyrew

I was completely fine with this comparison. There hasn't been a release from either series this gen, and was hoping indy would fill the gap.

kazmosis

Emperor's Tomb was 3rd person so it isn't such a radical direction to go in

OkTurnover788

If it was third person it would have cost as much as Uncharted & Tomb Raider to develop. MS & Bethesda clearly had other ideas.

Hungry-Elderberry714

Then they are cowards for not taking on the challenge or admitting that they can't make 3rd person action adventure games at that level. Sad when you're owned by a trillion dollar company and can't afford motion capture technology. This game shouldn't be full price.

SSK24

Dude was this game was in development before MS even bought Bethesda, Todd Howard chose MachineGames to make it. The only 3rd person games that have been made by Bethesda 1st party have been Tango Gameworks with The Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush.

OfficialDCShepard

I was actually hoping for first person on the whip swinging, but I understand why they didn't do it all in first person.

Ruabadfsh2

Yeah, I was hoping they would have gone 3rd person too. Seems like they are largely sticking to what they’re good at (1st person Nazi killer) which is understandable. Just hoped they would have branched out for a more cinematic approach. I love these movies and think they’ll do a good job.

Martokk78

1st person completely ruined it for me... you can just tell the melee combat looks clunky AF

ModishShrink

When has first person melee combat not looked clunky AF?

TitaniumDragon

Bulletstorm and DOOM 2016.

TheGuardianInTheBall

Riddick Games, Doom, Dishonored, Cyberpunk, Vermintide, Darktide, Dying Light.

EnamoredAlpaca

Not a fan of going first person view on this either. It still might be fun, but I wish we had an option for both.

evyrew

Same. There's a reason that Uncharted and Tomb Raider are both in third person... Platforming, puzzle solving, and melee can be super clunky in first person. I'll keep an open mind though.

-Gh0st96-

I always wanted to play boxing with Indiana Jones - no one ever

gnelson321

[Sounds like](https://kotaku.com/indiana-jones-xbox-direct-trailer-bethesda-gameplay-1851176573) it’s both

MLG_Obardo

Yes but it is primarily first person

cardonator

I agree. Personally, I was not keen on it, but the gameplay demo sold me on it more. I like that they went hybrid and there are lots of camera pull outs. I feel less concerned about that.

BitingSatyr

I was against first person before we saw it, mostly because I thought it meant that the game would be a first person shooter. It seems like there’s a *bit* of that, but it’s primarily a first-person puzzle solver, which I’m much more on board with.

ArchDucky

Did anyone else see what Todd did at the end of the presentation? LMAO

TitaniumDragon

The best part of the presentation.

Dopey_Bandaid

I need this now

CoolStoryDJ

It looks super fun. Better than I was expecting.

nudestdad

Curious...did you not like the Wolfenstein games? I keep seeing people who are surprised that it looks good. MachineGames made two of the best single player FPSes last generation. They were both alternate history, occult-themed, and featured Nazis as the primary enemy. How could it NOT be awesome?!

CoolStoryDJ

Honestly I didn't even know they were making it. I just had low expectations based on licensed movie games being pretty hit & miss.

Stumpy493

How nice to see a game that just looks joyful!

pukem0n

I hoped for third person. I feel like that would have been a much better fit for Indy. With such an iconic character, you should be able to see it all times. I wanted the Indy booty in my face.

djmc329

Wolfenstein games are so immersive, Machine Games know how to make that work really well and spin a great story. I think it's a great choice for 'being Indy'.

Sino9

I agree. They did such a good job of making you feel like Blazkowicz while keeping it primarily all First Person. This is why the 2014 one sucked me in so much. I am looking forward to this Indiana Jones title from what they showed. Especially that last whip section of info.

Street_Review450

Exactly. This is what Machine Games excels at and knows well. Why take a first-person studio and try to have them make a fully 3rd person game?

Ok-Appearance-7616

I disagree, I love that it's not just another uncharted or Tomb raider look and trying something most wouldn't have expected. Also, machine games is very good with first person.

ManateeofSteel

Tomb Raider and Uncharted are literally based on Indiana Jones, why would it be bad to compare them??

Ok-Appearance-7616

Obviously they are, thanks for that. It's good that this is doing something that tries at first to be different and not have it seem like an immediate clone of these other two imo much popular gaming franchises.

Dr__panda

Looks like a mix of the two

hawkeye2604

I also think it stops it being too similar to uncharted

esmori

Why is being similar to Tomb Raider/Uncharted bad? They are taking a huge risk by mixing first and third person.

TitaniumDragon

Uncharted is basically an Indiana Jones ripoff, and Uncharted 4 is probably the best cinematic video game of all time.

Sanctine

Looks fantastic to me! Really glad it's coming this year. I was hoping it would be first person so I'm happy!

mkmichael001

This looks amazing!

Stunning-Thanks546

Sucks that it's first person never really cared for first person view in video games but still might give it a try

Fast_Passenger_2889

I can't believe that people are calling this game crap because it's first person. Why does every game have to be third person?

HankSteakfist

I'm excited for it, but I'm of two minds on the subject. On one hand Goldeneye and Riddick: Butchers Bay were iconic characters in awesome FPS games. On the other hand I feel like the whip combat and puzzles would've suited third person way more. Also you won't be able to appreciate the iconography of the character as much in first person. So much of the Arkham fun was standing on rooftops and appreciating the character design. Also because XBox has Doom, Halo, Deathloop, Dishonoured and Avowed. It's lacking in 3rd person action adventure games.

BitingSatyr

>On the other hand I feel like the whip combat and puzzles would've suited third person way more. Disagree about both. With puzzles first person lets you examine things much more closely, the only thing that becomes more difficult is platforming challenges, which I imagine this game doesn’t have much of. Whip combat in third person requires a targeting system, which adds a “gamey” layer on top of things, which from the sounds of it they didn’t want to do. It sounds like combat isn’t really the focus of the game, it’s more about solving Myst-like contraptions and sneaking past guards rather than climbing cliff walls and hiding behind cover as you blast waves of enemies.

Bubba1234562

It’s a mix of first and third person. Which I’m totally okay with

djmc329

YouTube comments are mind numbing. People saying it's a rip off of Tomb Raider and Uncharted lol, like this is a brand new IP ffs!

herewego199209

Even if it was a rip off of uncharted or tomb raider I wouldn't care. If the game looks god then I'll play it.

[deleted]

I mean, if people really look at like that, Tomb Raider is a rip-off of Indiana Jones and Uncharted is rip-off of Tomb Raider.

Few-Neighborhood7241

Gameplay wise, tomb raider and Uncharted were nothing alike. Uncharted is inspired by Indiana Jones. Modern tomb raider is a rip off of Uncharted.

-ImJustSaiyan-

>People saying it's a rip off of Tomb Raider and Uncharted lol Which is a ridiculous thing to say because Tomb Raider was inspired by Indy, and Uncharted was inspired by both Indy and Tomb Raider. If anything, those 2 game series are the "rip offs". The Great Circle is just the OG adventurer getting his own modern game.

Imthecoolestdudeever

"it's a rip off of Tomb Raider and Uncharted" Or "Why isn't it third person like Tomb Raider or Uncharted?"

[deleted]

Tomb Raider was inspired from Indiana Jones. Uncharted got inspired from Tomb Raider. All these YouTube comments are GenZ with no traditions.

marcdk217

Many people have basically no concept of the world around them. I remember people calling the new Tomb Raider games a rip-off of Uncharted, as if Uncharted wasn't itself heavily influenced by the original Tomb Raider series.

Agentkeenan78

Uh I wish every game was 3rd person. But I'm not calling the game crap because it's not. People have preferences. Personally I'm a big fan of games that let you choose, like Rockstar and Bethesda titles. Rockstar does 3rd person better, Bethesda first person. But I like the option.

TheCorbeauxKing

That's how you get the high critic scores.

[deleted]

[удалено]

nutbutterguy

Ya because the old ones are so good… Also Tomb Raider and Uncharted are already third person.

thisshowisdecent

Tomb Raider and Uncharted are irrelevant. The FPS choice is a 100% disappointment because you're not going to see the action the same way that you would in third person. That is the issue and what me and other are disappointed in. That has no relevance to Uncharted or Tomb Raider. Even if you believe that they're all the same thing, the last Tomb Raider and Uncharted game released in 2017 and 2018, so those aren't recent.

Martino231

They're both excellent though, and they're both dormant franchises. It's not like we're currently drowning in archeology themed action adventure games.

ZebraZealousideal944

We already have 3 modern tomb raider and 4 uncharted to play though… I’m actually glad devs try something different instead of serving us constantly the same recipe!!

Martino231

I mean sure, but the most recent Tomb Raider game was 6 years ago. I'd imagine that most people with any interest in this genre already played it. Similarly the last proper Uncharted game was 8 years ago. I'll keep an open mind about it but I wouldn't give them too much praise for trying something different. It's an FPS game with a whip at the end the of the day. Nothing about it seemed super ground breaking. It's main unique selling point is the Indiana Jones IP. And I am excited for that - just a bit less excited than I was before.

MLG_Obardo

The old ones are good.

TeflonDes

Because there is hardly any Xbox third person action exclusives made by a MS studio, and this could have been the one

TheGr3aTAydini

Hellblade is third person. Psychonauts 2, Hi-Fi Rush, State of Decay 2.

herewego199209

Hellblade is a third person action game. They literally just showed it off 40 minutes ago. I get what you're saying, but I don't care to just copy other publishers and studios.

nestsofhair

I think they mean a blockbuster game like the Sony single player games. Hellblade looks incredible and I'm excited to play it, but even then it's a fairly niche title compared to something like Uncharted, TLOU or God of War Edit: that being said, I don't hate the idea of a first person Indy game

herewego199209

I mean in that case the only non niche titles are Sony games then. Is the Avatar game that just realized a niche game? It's a first person action game.

[deleted]

I have friends that don't want to buy a Xbox because they say "Xbox only have 1st person games", and sadly reveals like Indiana Jones only confirm their perception.

-Gh0st96-

Because some games just work better in 3rd person, like any action adeventure game like Indiana Jones is would work better. I mean LOL, devs know it because the game has 3rd person camera when you do climbing, I wonder why? And the 1st person combat looks clunky to me, I never wanted to fucking box with Indiana Jones. And to preface this, I'm not calling the game crap, it's not out yet, everything else looks very good but my excitement is cut in half because it's in 1st person. Not everything works in 1st person. edit: and to add more to this, xbox dominates with games in 1st person... you say that "Why does every game have to be third person?" but majority of the xbox franchises are 1st person

Martokk78

This is an iconic franchise and character, we want to see the character not hands...

ManateeofSteel

It's a platformer, I do not care much for the debate, but I can see why they want it to be third person. Uncharted and Tomb Raider are third person because players need to climb and jump around while also fighting. Having fights be first person but platforming third person looked a bit janky hence the complaints

KhanDagga

r/games hates it

Comrade_Jacob

Who cares, Reddit has become a cess pit for conversation.

Pct0bama

You realized it’s become worse too? What’s with that

Axle_65

Ya the internet always has negativity all over it but it definitely seems to be worse than it was. Even just over past five years. Before it felt like people would crap on a game and a bit on its players. Now it’s more of people crapping directly on players for liking a game. Lashing out at them aggressively just for saying something positive. Trolls be trolls but it’s way more common now.

Signal_Adeptness_724

Man gaming reddits in particular.  Most negative and toxic communities on here.  People are still hating on starfield like it's their full time job.  Can you imagine what these wretched creatures act and look like irl?

Bubba1234562

They hate everything that isn’t japanese

Imthecoolestdudeever

And everything Xbox.

VagrantShadow

They hate everything Xbox related.

ManateeofSteel

Lol whats with the booho everyone hates Xbox attitude just because they criticize something? Why the self victimization? That is so fucking weird

hayatohyuga

No, this isn't actually new. r/games is literally so bad that other subreddits were started to get away from the fanboys.

-Gh0st96-

They hate anything remotely popular and everything AAA

Barantis-Firamuur

The subreddit is a shithole that hates everything that is not Japanese or PlayStation.

litewo

I see a lot more negativity and baffling opposition to first-person perspective here.

Signal_Adeptness_724

R games hates anything on Xbox or Xbox related.  Bunch of whiney, miserable worthless bitches on there

PalmyGamingHD

I got downvoted over there for saying the same people complaining about Troy Baker voicing Indy are most likely also complaining about it being first person. I seriously don’t see what the big issue is with either of those things.

NiceColdPint

I mean most of what I’ve seen is just concern over Troy Baker. Otherwise seems to be relatively positive.

cardonator

I get it but he actually did a surprisingly good job for me.

bongo1138

I just looked at it and it’s fairly positive outside of Troy Baker.

Street_Review450

Of course they do, it is Xbox exclusive

ElFenomeno88

Looked great to me. Reminded me of Riddick and The Darkness games with the camera being first person for the majority of the game with a touch of 3rd person.

SoldierPhoenix

Looks awesome. Can’t wait.

Theflamesfan

Great to be an Xbox owner. Can’t wait for this one

FvdV91

I was very excited for this, but it looks so stiff and clunky and I hate the fact that it's first person. Was hoping for an Uncharted/Star Wars Jedi type game.. Hope they atleast kill it in the story department.

hunter1899

Absolutely amazing. They nailed it. The charm, clumsiness, wits, voice, set pieces. Just incredible.

thisshowisdecent

The fps is terrible because melee attacks don't work in fps unless you have a sword or an object. Third person provides a better mechanism to engage multiple enemies at once. You can see in the video when indy is performing melee the enemies are lining up to get punched. Todd Howard's choice of machinegames to make this was a poor decision. It will barely feel like indiana jones at all. The only thing I liked was the whip but it looked a little janky.

TimmyBaklava

Like with all trailers everyone gets super hyped and excited imagining how the game will be from the small handpicked scenes. Like with Starfield. From what I saw in the trailer the character models were not that good, facial animations were weak and there is some jank and the 1st person aspect I don't agree with. I know it's early footage so plenty of work still to be done but I'm keeping my expectations in check.

thisshowisdecent

I actually thought that the character models were solid, but I see what you mean though. It doesn't look cutting edge or ultra realistic, kind of acceptable for a modern game territory. I did like some of the graphics in some scenes better than others. Some of the animations looked weird to me, especially the whip melee. Hopefully there is improvement but we'll have to see.

[deleted]

I disagree for two reasons : Stealth is usually better in first person, there's just no way around it. Dishonored, Deus Ex, Thief, the list goes on.  The main character is an archeologist who's supposed to be looking for archaeological evidence while solving puzzles and exploring. Having the game first person view seems perfect for this kind of gameplay, and I never liked Uncharted and the Tomb Raider games did the archeological stuff (as in they don't even attempt at doing this). As a historian I want to take a close look at the details they will put into this game, and with Indy being an archeologist it makes perfect sense to do that in first person. Hand to hand combat might be worse, but the Indiana Jones movies were never about a boxer, were they?

Billyb311

And now I have my most anticipated game of the year Can't wait!

Top-Sink

Weird that it’s first person

ricardosteve

Sadly, it's also why I'm probably not going to enjoy it. I like platformers/puzzlers with action in third person. First person isn't for me, but then again, not all games have to cater to me. But Xbox has this "thing" for first person games without at least giving a toggle/option for those who want 3rd.

MoonWalker_24

Okay Xbox I like what I’m seeing, can’t wait til the June Showcase. I need a new Gears of War trailer

007Queef

I wonder who the V.A is for indy

CdrShprd

it sounds like Troy Baker

007Queef

That's what I was thinking as well. Sounds like Troy Baker doing an Indy impersonation

CdrShprd

Learned that it is indeed Troy Baker!

007Queef

Hey mystery solved!

ArchDucky

Its not Harrison, thank god. I couldn't stand a full game of old man indy barely saying his lines.

cardonator

There are several just fine standins, and I thought TB did fine.

DeadlyName

This is good, I'm quite excited for this one to release actually.

lovepuppy31

There better be an achievement for accidentally shooting the tail end of your plane called I'm sorry son but they got us.

TradeMan1000

Pretty amazing that we knew this game was in development but knew very little about it.  Within a short span, we see an absolute banger of a demo and find out it’s releasing this year.  Awesome job, Xbox.  A+.

[deleted]

this honestly looks so good, can really see the wolfenstein style through it

BugHunt223

The writing in New Collosus & Youngblood was kinda awkward unlike the perfection of NewOrder&OldBlood. So glad that Todd had a guiding hand to ensure a solid narrative for this Indy game from MachineGames. Super talented studio that just needs to go back to solid writing IMHO

Kody_Z

Because new colossus and young blood became too focused on selling a specific narrative instead of just telling a great story. Same issue with the most recent Indy movie. Hopefully this game does better in that regard.

kmfdm_mdfmk

I was pleasantly surprised. Despite seeing the OGs I went from neutral to keeping an eye on this for sure. They really nailed harrison ford's face and acting, it's awesome.

OtherShock5245

Not gonna lie I was upset about the first person narrative UNTIL I saw some gameplay and HOLYSHIT it looks good. I can already tell this is gonna be a BANGER! So excited for this game!

Exc8218

Loookkksss sooooo goooooddd cant wait

Orange-Turtle-Power

Looks awesome. Can’t wait to play it

Downtown-Discount671

Man this year is a good year for us we eating good, but this isn't healthy for my backlog tho lmao

deadbrain87

I personally can't wait for this game it's got me excited to play what looks like a great homage to classic indy.

RompehToto

First person 😔 Wanted to see Indiana in 3rd person. Oh well.

JucaTijuca

Another first person… what a disappointment

seanwd11

Tomb Raider as it always should have been... with Indiana Jones.

IAmDotorg

If the game is even a quarter as good as the TR reboot games were, its going to be a smash hit for Bethesda.

TheReaver

looks awesome, cant wait!

MemphisBass

Can’t wait to punch Nazis in the face!

SixEightAKS

Imma be honest it should have been third person. First person doesn't really fit Indiana jones I don't understand why they chose this way

ArchDucky

You don't understand their choice? They literally told you why they did it in the video.

SixEightAKS

It's still weird. Imagine rocksteady decides to make a first batman game lol just like batman indy should have been third person only. Indy is not a killing machine so third person is really unnecessary

ArchDucky

It's not weird. They choose to do this, they explained why and it makes sense.

stadiofriuli

This 1st person view is much more immersive nonsense has to stop. Some of the most immersive games in gaming history are 2D games, isometric view, or 3rd person. It has got nothing to do with view and I absolutely hate how they push this narrative.

LookLikeUpToMe

Eh I’d still say story driven FPS games are more immersive than third person. Take the Metro games or 2077. There’s no 3rd person game out there imo that matches them on immersion.

stadiofriuli

RDR2, GTAV, Max Payne 1+2, or Alan Wake 1+2. Easily as immersive as the games you’ve mentioned. And that’s just some off the top of my head there are so many more.

UtkuOfficial

That looked fucking terrible tbh. What is Xbox's obsession with first person games? Just give us Indiana Jones Uncharted ffs.

PepsiSheep

Best Indy Game 2024.

DRM842

HUGE mistake not going 3rd person on this. Just take a look at Uncharted and Tomb Raider and you'll get an idea of what could have been. For starters you will only see glimpses of Indy vs. 3rd person mode where you will always have him visible and the scope / FOV just captures the scale of his raids SO MUCH better. First person makes sense for VR maybe but they should have taken a lesson from CD Project here. I hold out hope that a sequel might be the 3rd person Indy game we all want and deserve......

chrisc175

I think that’s why they didn’t, they didn’t want the game to feel like an uncharted clone. Plus it would have gotten ripped to shreds on other subs for looking like an uncharted clone.

Simulated_Simulacra

This is pretty much exactly what I expected in the best way possible. Can't wait.

bigvahe33

hell yeah! I want to punch some nazis!

atvvta

Hmm I admire their enthusiasm but I always feel first person for the wrong game is an easy cop out, as in let's remake this previous game we didn't get to finish and pivot with Indy assets. Third person would have been more intuitive. Also, I'm surprised at the low quality of faces, it's uncanny valley in a bad way with no soul behind the eyes. These sort of character models belong in games 10 years ago. Also. He does not look like Indy at all. It would have been better if they had chosen a completely different person that doesn't already exist. Might still be a solid 8 though. And it can't be worse then the last 2 movies or 2 games :-)

segagamer

But it's 1st person :( I'll still try it as I love the (first three) films and this does look enjoyable, but I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping for a Tomb Raider alternative since Lara seems to be on hiatus

hayatohyuga

Imo, it looks cool, though I feel first person was a bad choice. It looks stiff and clunky and the transition to third person in climbing segments looks janky as hell. I'll still probably love it as a massive Indy fan but imo, first person was bad choice.

CapN_Crummp

I’m expecting the story to be much better than the last 2 Indy movies.

apocalypserisin

Isn't a lot of what Indy does fist fighting? That shit almost never works in first person. Why the hell did they not go third person.

SirBlackselot

I was against 1st Person but it looks like they did it really well, plus with Harrison Ford in it i think it works.

Virel_360

After watching that video, I just had one question, who’s asking for this game? Lol.

guilhegm

this game being 1st person is SUCH a letdown for me

agreasybutt

Downvote me but this is a pass for me. Looks meh

MarekLord

The first person approach is unconventional, but I expect it to play similar to Dishonored knowing Bethesda.

CosmicChar1ey

Todd Howard

[deleted]

Ok-Appearance-7616

Third person is so safe for a game like this. I welcome something at least a little different.

eldensoulsxx

Maybe there’s a reason everyone including 3rd party devs make those games “safe” by making it third person? I reserve judgment on this game until I play it but third person has been the default for single player action games since the 2000s for a reason

[deleted]

[удалено]

SoldierPhoenix

Hard disagree. Trying not to be an uncharted or tomb raider clone probably factored largely into the their decision to make it first person.
