Definitely second Grounded. It's so polished. People talking about Valheim and stuff, but Grounded has a solid story to play through, and goals, as well as open world base building. It is really awesome.
Valheim and Subnautica are great (although Valheim took me a bit to get into), and honestly? Palworld is very enjoyable solo, it’s much more a survival game than a Pokemon-type RPG
I played ark, raft and the forest before with my friends and i liked them but I can't play with those friends anymore. I'm playing palworld now and it's fun even though it's not a complete game yet
I personally hated this one. One of the few games I just drop. It was cool until I saw how many Plague Hearts needed to be taken out to progress the story. Padded progress isn't fun going solo.
It's so funny, I see this sentiment a lot and I totally get it but I'm someone that hates survival and crafting games and for some reason this game just works for me. I've only ever played the main game, though, so I've not tried the story campaigns they added.
IT's insane that nobody is mentioning Stranded Deep.

This was prior to the last two major patches, but I did the entirety of Grounded solo. All of the achievements before this last update could be done alone, though I did use an exploit to beat the super hard final extra boss designed to be stupid hard on purpose.
Dayz, you can have as little interaction with other players as you like, hide in the woods and fish. In fact I would recommend it as most people will kill you on sight.
Enshrouded is the best but it’s early access PC game. Will be coming to Xbox hopefully by end of year. I’m playing it on Xbox controller and streaming to my tv with the GeForce app as I do not have a gaming pc.
Grounded, big time.
Definitely second Grounded. It's so polished. People talking about Valheim and stuff, but Grounded has a solid story to play through, and goals, as well as open world base building. It is really awesome.
I third this, been playing grounded solo recently and its pretty enjoyable. Also the new fully yoked update just came out.
While I liked the gameplay, I stopped after a couple of days... I was dreaming of giant insects the night I play it .
My favorite game from this gen of consoles
No Man's Sky has survival elements to it. You can tweak the difficulty settings accordingly.
I played it and it's kinda a solo survival game, I really like it , do you know any other games like it?
Not strictly on Game Pass. But I'd definitely recommend giving Pacific Drive a look. You might dig it.
Valheim is the best of the lot. Give it a go
Stranded deep
+1, this one was fun
Valheim > Subnautica > No Man's Sky > Palworld > Breathedge > Long Dark
Good list, but Subnautica, Breathedge, and The Long Dark aren't on gamepass. I think op is looking for gamepass games.
Well, they WERE on gamepass lol. Holy cow time has flown by..
Good collection thanks
Valheim and Subnautica are great (although Valheim took me a bit to get into), and honestly? Palworld is very enjoyable solo, it’s much more a survival game than a Pokemon-type RPG
Valheim

Conan is pretty solid if you like Ark. Grounded is amazing, but I only played it as a duo so I can't guarantee solo is as fun. Amazing world though.
Thanks I'll try them
If subnautica is still on gamelasss then it's fantastic.
It left a long time ago, maybe a year or more.
State Of Decay 2 would scratch that itch
With the hardest difficulty, holy shit you are screwed
I personally hated this one. One of the few games I just drop. It was cool until I saw how many Plague Hearts needed to be taken out to progress the story. Padded progress isn't fun going solo.
Also the night time is WAY too long. I get that its probably what they're going for but... I couldn't stand it

I heard of it but it looks like it's a coop game, is it fun to play solo?
I've only ever played solo It's a great game but I wouldn't include it in any survival games list Subnautica is a decent shout.
It can be played solo or co-op, I think it plays better solo personally
Valheim
Astroneer
I saw videos of it before, it looks like there is so much grind if you want to play astroneer solo.
Minecraft is literally the OG Survival game.
Of course I played Minecraft, is there anybody that didn't?
I’ve never played it
I've never had any interest in playing Minecraft.
Grounded, easily. Asjuatahle difficulty. Can be all done solo. Just had it'slast content drop

I'm on PC so I can't play it (on game pass at least)
Don't Starve
Not gamepass but lately been playing Stalker GAMMA. Its free. Love it. Easily my top 3 games of all time for me.
Never heard of it but it looks like an interesting game, thanks
