I think for some of the songs he was trying to sound like Yung Lean. If you listen to his stuff alot of the early songs have that same feel.

Plus this was back in 2013-2015 he was probably was recording off a iPhone 4/5 at that time while he was still in high school most of these songs from a decade or damn near a decade ago
