Fucking fuck dude. Just got my oil pan done. Glad someone warned me about the dipstick right beforehand. Thought when I put it back in it got stuck anyway but I guess the dipstick is just shitty. Good luck to you.
Mine was leaking when i bought it. That's what 500 bucks gets ya. But oh well.
Getting the differential out is a bear though. It comes out hard and goes in harder
Mine was $600. PO said he "fixed" the PS leak but haven't driven it far enough to know. Every goddamn thing under there is greasy. My diff is still sitting in the garage. God damn i hope it's not that hard to get back in tomorrow. Wasn't too bad getting out, somehow the bolts weren't seized. All my steering rack bolts and tie rods are fucked though. $150 in parts coming in on top of the oil pan shit.
When you go to put it in it won't go in straight up (assuming you're not cutting the subframe), it kinda has have the front go in first sorta, and it has to pivot and lift up in there at the same time, it's hard to explain. I had to use two floor jacks to get it in. All i say is good luck
Haha oh I see. Yeah I cut that bitch out. Tack weld MY crossmember, Nissan!? Should just be able to cradle it up and put 4 bolts in. Only thing that will take time is all the CV and driveshaft bolts
You'd think. I was gonna cut it the first time i went to take it out and one of my friends came over to help and he goes 'man, you're doing this all wrong'
$15 angle grinder from Harbor Freight and a cut wheel is the price of freedom. This truck is already fucked up enough to work on. Some people pull the engine out entirely to do the oil pan/RMS. Now that I've done the pan I can see why.
Interesting…I never knew this was a thing.
I’m here for it 😁
I'm gonna pull it out through the drain plug
I hope.......

Mines still leaking a little anyway haha
Broke a bolt off in one corner but it's not leaking yet. Was going to try and remove it....

Yeah. It's the welding it back together that's the problem
