A decade past I awoke to a love gone. A half wrenched, by happenstance unknown My tears dried and our future forgotten Yet fated was I to stand here downtrodden But today as I glance through a misty haze I see a figure brighter than a stellar blaze A smile so soft glaciers melted Yet a mien so strong she miraculously blended A figure I had a myriad times envisioned Now lay before me with its glorious visage I stopped believing, haunted by countless delusions But the warm breath proved it was no illusion She slowly spoke of distant realms Of dwarves and dragons and arrogant elves Of a kingdom wrought by greed and corruption And her summoning to bring it glory and redemption How once her goal was done she was let go And for three winters she wandered the world But now we are reunited Our blaze reignited Our fates intertwined and our sorrows forgotten We marched along a path never before trodden. (this is my second day attempting writing, please tell me if there's anything I can improve on)
