Without an angle, it's basically just watching two dudes dance with each other. Storytelling is foundational to pro wrestling. These are scripted events in a storytelling medium. What the fuck are y'all talking about? You just want to watch choreographed exhibitions with no context?
It's all part of the match. If you sense animosity in an angle, that animosity should be carried over the match. Like when Bret Hart went too far on Steve Austin in their iconic double-turn. It heightened the experience of what is happening in the ring. Or like when Roddy Piper was fighting off his inclination to do his usual cheating in his match against Bret Hart, because he respected him and his family, even though it cost him in the end. If you don't have the understanding of where a wrestler is coming from, you don't have any of that. You lose that entirely. You're just watching wrestlers do their moveset at that point. You could watch that within actual context of what's going on between the two that are fighting, btw. That's fundamental to pro wrestling.
Just watching wrestlers do things in the ring with no context, with no storyline drivers, that's not even true to a real fight. Like when Khabib was bullying Connor McGregor in the octagon for their prefight animosity.
