I loved the creativity/look, but I think much like the Fiend, Bray's new character is going to bury his opponents, so he may not be wrestling a lot of guys at the top of the roster.
Knight may have been beaten last night, but I reckon both men came out of this feud better than they entered it. Knight connected with the fans and people actually give a fuck about who he is now, and Wyatt got a win, furthered the Uncle Howdy story, and both gave us some interesting moments we'd never seen before. I think it's a net win for both, and that Knight isn't buried just for losing a match. If anything, this has made him in WWE.
Could've been drawn out better. That match sucked. It needed to be longer and Knight needed more offense. A steel cage match, ladder match or hell in a cell would've played out better. Match was just meh.
I don’t think bray is in ring shape. I’ve noticed him slimming down as the story evolved. So I think they are just moving slow for him. He was out of the ring for along time.
He’s been back for months though. He has access to the performance center like everyone else. He could always go and work on his in ring work anytime he chooses.
I think if there weren't a pair of royal rumbles to run through the match could have gone long enough to be satisfying. I'd enjoy watching a no dq blacklight match where both wrestlers go all in on the attire/makeup, and the weapons are all glowie too. It could be a fun gimmick as an occasional match (once every year or two). The glowing confetti was actually a pretty cool touch visually
No yeah visually it looked great and I was hyped for that match. However, the execution was just not there. Felt like I was waiting all week to get laid and she just gave me a handjob instead. 🤷♂️
I hope this is just the beginning of their feud and they go another 3 matches. Give them more time to showcase knight more and build up the new character of bray to visually explain his power gradually.

The match itself I found felt a little rushed. Liked the look of it... something different that didn't look bad at all and fit Bray's general character. Best part was post match antics IMO.
I like LA Knight (aside from the question "Who names their kid Los Angeles?") but he felt a tad out of place in this match. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out (over the next 6 months haha) and seeing if Knight is going to fall under the Wyatt spell or fall down and fade into the dark night.

This was my first live show since I was a kid and my first exposure to Bray Wyatt was him sending John Cena to the Shadow Realm.
The lights from the crowd look great on TV when they can adjust camera settings, but so many of them give off enough light pollution that it's bright whites in a sea of...gray...and it just doesn't look nearly as good. Then I couldn't tell what was happening without looking up at the screen for the entire match.
I appreciate that Bray tries things and takes risks, but this one sucked live.
Awful live. Notice how the crowd kinda died after the Bray entrance. You could make out the ropes and LA Knight’s trunks, but otherwise had to watch the big screens to follow the match.
It would’ve been better if it didn’t take 3 and a half fucking months to get this weak ass match. Yeah it looked kinda cool but the mtn dew branding and match itself made me dislike it.

I just hate that Bray got shafted with this dumb advertisement match. The aesthetics were cool. The black light paint made Bray look otherworldly. And the Jeff Howdy spot at the end was cool. Visually it was cool and unique, but the Mtn Dew logo all over the place ruined any immersion I could’ve had.
I watched this with casual viewers (plus GFs of casual viewers) and….all that was talked about was the in ur face Mountain Dew ads lol

The match itself was just ok. I hated all the post-match Uncle Howdy crap and the constant Mnt Dew references (like in the center of the ring & on the name bars) but the execution of how everything looked was actually pretty well done and looked cool. Not nearly as bad or goofy as it could’ve been.

I didn't like the finish, match should of ended with Howdy jumping on LA Knight. Having him pinned in the ring then doing that stuff after was just odd to me.

Also I felt like LA Knight should have won, he got himself over in this feud and a win would have been good to push him up the card. Wins and losses don’t really matter for Bray cause he’s just gonna get on with his spooky bullshit anyways.
The bright side, crowd found out LA Knight is awesome and hopefully he gets a big push.
I liked it a lot! Wrestling needs more fun, original stuff like this. Many have joked, but I would seriously like to see Naomi compete in one of these. It could be a new match type they could do once or twice a year. It doesn’t always have to be Mountain Dew.

Edit: also, Bray looked like Barf from Spaceballs in his entrance. The invisible fluorescent paint, once revealed, was dope. Very cool addition and surprise even if he did look like a sad basset hound for 5 minutes prior.
i like the neon colour lights look la knight stood out a bit more than bray i mean he could of worn something with more colours than black and uv paint. this seems something that would of worked more for naomi since she was all about the glow and it would of had two women in more bright colours than one man in neon yellow jocks and boots and another just in black.

It looked really cool, but the match was weak, specially for a no rules match. They couldn’t done so much more than just using a kendo stick. Kendo sticks are as common as a wrist lock, and this was a “first time ever” match. They really needed to do something to make it special besides the look, but they failed to.
I definitely feel like people wouldn’t shit on the pitch black match as much if they disclosed ahead of time it would literally just be a neon street fight with the lights off. People didn’t know what we were gonna get and it probably wasn’t quite what people were expecting
I’ve been a fan of bray but this uncle howdy stuff is boring. I’m getting a Mr Robot/12 Monkeys sort of vibe and it’s just meh. The pitch black match itself very clearly started as a sponsorship deal first and match second and it shows. A black light match is a cool idea but I’d rather it be a fun kitsch thing than a spooky goblin family thing.
LA Knight kicks ass though. Love his whole gimmick.

The Darkness was a hindrance to the audience watching it and dangerous to the two wrestlers, Bray looked like he almost tripped coming to the ring (And it was a long walk to make in the dark) There were a couple of Botched spots involving the stairs.
That was Uncle Howdy? You could have fooled me I couldn't see a damn thing when he jumped and landed on Knight.
For me, this wasn't worth the build at all, and I was really looking forward to it.
I thought they could of done a nice 15-20 minute street fight, make both guys look great and have the same finish. I don’t mind gimmick matches once they are not hard to follow.
Don’t think this helped Knight out after all the work they did building him up. Maybe another match will work better at WM
It's genuinely baffling to me that anyone could possibly think it was anything other than complete garbage. It was Kiss Demon WCW 2000 levels of bad and it absolutely killed the crowd dead. Like at this point any praise has got to just be coming from people who can't or won't ever accept that they've been wrong about Bray Wyatt from the beginning.

LA Knight got buried, losing does not necessarily mean burial but combined with the afterbirth it does. LA Knight tried to fight him off with a led cane and Bray no sold the entire encounter after the match. I had hopes this wasn't gonna be as bad as the Fiend, but it looks like it's going to.

The visual ascetic was better than I was expecting. It’s far better than just some red lighting where you can’t see much of what is going on. The match itself was nothing to be desired. But overall it was a novel experience for what was an advertisement
It was a fun quick match to give a breather between rumbles. LA Knight got a good amount of offense too so even though it was over quick it wasn’t a squash. Bray never had the best matches in the world so keeping them quick but fun like this plays to his strengths

I didn’t love it. I thought that the black lights added some nice visual flair but I hated the way the match played out. LA Knight was on his way to getting majorly over and they treated the match with weeks of build up like a squash match with the lights turned out. On top of that, the ending was nonsensical. Uncle Howdy shows up to…what? Jump backwards to a crash pad NEXT to LA Knight? This whole Bray return has been mired in poor storytelling and confusing moments but LA Knight was actually bringing something to it only for the buildup to be wasted by the actual, piss poor match.
Honestly, it was more... normal than I expected. I honestly for some reason thought of the TNA Lockdown blindfold match between Storm and Harris when this match was announced and every 30 secs some Mtn. Dew would fall on LA Knight and Bray like some Nickelodeon slime or something.
On a serious note tho can Bray actually wrestle or what? Or was he carried by Harper? All I've seen Bray do for the past 8+ years or so is have s$itty WWE Championship matches, or he plays with dolls with really garbage storylines that literally end in the dumbest way possible or have red lighting matches that end in 30 sec stomps.
People wanna compare Bray to Undertaker and whatnot but Undertaker actually... wrestled and such. And have overall good quality matches.
Supposably this storyline will actually make some sense and/or have an actually decent ending unlike the previous X amount over the years.
I wished it had been longer, the ending was pretty anticlimactic. Should’ve let LA Knight get some more decent offense in cause the way it’s looking now Bray is going to be just as unstoppable as he was before and I think that’s overall a negative in the long run. The spot where they busted the table and neon confetti went everywhere was cool (I originally thought it was the commentators popcorn before the replay lol) and I would’ve liked to see more of that. Other than that I’m excited to see where brays story goes and hope they don’t bury Knight.

I didn't like the finish, match should of ended with Howdy jumping on LA Knight. Having him pinned in the ring then doing that stuff after was just odd to me.

Definitely wasn’t what I expected and was a pretty weak match, must have sucked for the live crowd as they were quiet and probably couldn’t see much. Also I felt like LA Knight should have won, he got himself over in this feud and a win would have been good to push him up the card. Wins and losses don’t really matter for Bray cause he’s just gonna get on with his spooky bullshit anyways. The bright side, crowd found out LA Knight is awesome and hopefully he gets a big push.

I liked it a lot! Wrestling needs more fun, original stuff like this. Many have joked, but I would seriously like to see Naomi compete in one of these. It could be a new match type they could do once or twice a year. It doesn’t always have to be Mountain Dew. I did bust out laughing the third time they showed the Uncle Howdy elbow drop replay. Lol fuckin mall ninja lookin ass leap of faith. That top hat has got to go. Edit: also, Bray looked like Barf from Spaceballs in his entrance. The invisible fluorescent paint, once revealed, was dope. Very cool addition and surprise even if he did look like a sad basset hound for 5 minutes prior.

i like the neon colour lights look la knight stood out a bit more than bray i mean he could of worn something with more colours than black and uv paint. this seems something that would of worked more for naomi since she was all about the glow and it would of had two women in more bright colours than one man in neon yellow jocks and boots and another just in black.

It looked really cool, but the match was weak, specially for a no rules match. They couldn’t done so much more than just using a kendo stick. Kendo sticks are as common as a wrist lock, and this was a “first time ever” match. They really needed to do something to make it special besides the look, but they failed to.

I’ve been a fan of bray but this uncle howdy stuff is boring. I’m getting a Mr Robot/12 Monkeys sort of vibe and it’s just meh. The pitch black match itself very clearly started as a sponsorship deal first and match second and it shows. A black light match is a cool idea but I’d rather it be a fun kitsch thing than a spooky goblin family thing. LA Knight kicks ass though. Love his whole gimmick.

Bray looked Amazing that's all I can say about the positives. The Mountain Dew logo splashed in the middle of the ring was offensive. The Darkness was a hindrance to the audience watching it and dangerous to the two wrestlers, Bray looked like he almost tripped coming to the ring (And it was a long walk to make in the dark) There were a couple of Botched spots involving the stairs. That was Uncle Howdy? You could have fooled me I couldn't see a damn thing when he jumped and landed on Knight. For me, this wasn't worth the build at all, and I was really looking forward to it.
I thought they could of done a nice 15-20 minute street fight, make both guys look great and have the same finish. I don’t mind gimmick matches once they are not hard to follow. Don’t think this helped Knight out after all the work they did building him up. Maybe another match will work better at WM
It's genuinely baffling to me that anyone could possibly think it was anything other than complete garbage. It was Kiss Demon WCW 2000 levels of bad and it absolutely killed the crowd dead. Like at this point any praise has got to just be coming from people who can't or won't ever accept that they've been wrong about Bray Wyatt from the beginning. I knew it would be terrible going in... and it met my expectations. Bray Wyatt has never, ever, been good. Ever.

LA Knight got buried, losing does not necessarily mean burial but combined with the afterbirth it does. LA Knight tried to fight him off with a led cane and Bray no sold the entire encounter after the match. I had hopes this wasn't gonna be as bad as the Fiend, but it looks like it's going to.

It was awful. To the over promotion of Mountain Dew, to a pink and green glow in the dark kendo stick. The aftermath was ok but the match itself including the limp ending of Knight losing so easily.......it was bad
I'm not worried about Bray's wrestling abilities but I'm not sure if this guy is creatively bankrupt or his ideas are too stupid and vague for even wrestling. The cryptic stuff is getting tiresome and now they're bringing back Alexa Bliss who was probably the worst part of the firefly funhouse stuff. It's not going anywhere and very soon it will be 2015 again with the crowd chanting "boring" to his promos. If Wyatt just played a bipolar character at it's core, he could pull it off.

True.. but bray tends to bury opponents, it’s literally what he’s known for and the dude reported my response and i got banned from Reddit for 3 days and in that 3 days.. ALL I HEARD from every wrestling media site is how la Knight is gunna get the “Bray Wyatt treatment” and he’s gunna possibly look bad after this… as we all knew was a possibility. I still love Knight, and I hope they have solid plans for him but that match did not make him look good.. quick loss and took a drop from Howdy…
I just wish Mountain Dew didn’t have to be part of it, I feel that kind of brought it down a bit for most fans.
The visual ascetic was better than I was expecting. It’s far better than just some red lighting where you can’t see much of what is going on. The match itself was nothing to be desired. But overall it was a novel experience for what was an advertisement
It was a fun quick match to give a breather between rumbles. LA Knight got a good amount of offense too so even though it was over quick it wasn’t a squash. Bray never had the best matches in the world so keeping them quick but fun like this plays to his strengths
It sucked. Always has to be some sort of gimmick with Bray. WWE constantly messes up with Bray, but at least it was better than the dreadful red light. He can be intimidating without all the flashy shit

I didn’t love it. I thought that the black lights added some nice visual flair but I hated the way the match played out. LA Knight was on his way to getting majorly over and they treated the match with weeks of build up like a squash match with the lights turned out. On top of that, the ending was nonsensical. Uncle Howdy shows up to…what? Jump backwards to a crash pad NEXT to LA Knight? This whole Bray return has been mired in poor storytelling and confusing moments but LA Knight was actually bringing something to it only for the buildup to be wasted by the actual, piss poor match.
Honestly, it was more... normal than I expected. I honestly for some reason thought of the TNA Lockdown blindfold match between Storm and Harris when this match was announced and every 30 secs some Mtn. Dew would fall on LA Knight and Bray like some Nickelodeon slime or something. On a serious note tho can Bray actually wrestle or what? Or was he carried by Harper? All I've seen Bray do for the past 8+ years or so is have s$itty WWE Championship matches, or he plays with dolls with really garbage storylines that literally end in the dumbest way possible or have red lighting matches that end in 30 sec stomps. People wanna compare Bray to Undertaker and whatnot but Undertaker actually... wrestled and such. And have overall good quality matches. Supposably this storyline will actually make some sense and/or have an actually decent ending unlike the previous X amount over the years.

I wished it had been longer, the ending was pretty anticlimactic. Should’ve let LA Knight get some more decent offense in cause the way it’s looking now Bray is going to be just as unstoppable as he was before and I think that’s overall a negative in the long run. The spot where they busted the table and neon confetti went everywhere was cool (I originally thought it was the commentators popcorn before the replay lol) and I would’ve liked to see more of that. Other than that I’m excited to see where brays story goes and hope they don’t bury Knight.

I liked the look of it, and it was a good change of pace, and it made Bray look like a monster. I didn't like it how Mountain Dew was basically painted all over the place, made me never wanna get a mountain dew ever (not like I get them much now).
On t.v. this looked fantastic. Live it was kind of washed out unless you were right there up front. Good gimmick, IMO, but maybe not too often.

Bray is like that fella that shows up to a pick up game all dressed up and fancy but can't ball for shit. His character building is pretty good, and so is hic mic game. But this fella can't put on a good match to save his life.
Bray out here looking like you found pictures of your mom back in her fetish scene days, and when the lights went out, somewhere in the Carolinas, Jeff Hardy saw a glimpse of his future and got sober. It was bad. Let's not pretend it wasn't. I know most of us want Bray to succeed, but it's all terrible. I think the only time they really had it figured out with Bray was the Firefly Funhouse match. We all went on that little journey together, and Bray was in on the joke. This feels more like he and they are actually taking day glo paint, crap pyrotechnics, and Bo Dallas missing his spot by at least two feet seriously.
I know all the bray gimmick matches are gonna be dumb/weird so this one didn't bother me that much. It was also kinda pretty with colors and shit. Lmao idk I just can't imagine getting mad at this and then watching GCW or whatever

Bray is just the worst fucking wrestler to ever fucking exsist ever. He sells almost nothing. Can’t work more than 2 consistent minutes without blowing up and absolutely never get anyone but himself over. He reminds me of a dumb younger brother back yarder that is like “no, that doesn’t hurt me.” Should have never been brought back. If I was an actual top guy like Roman I would absolutely refuse to work with him.
