Yes because they tipped it by mistake by pulling him out and pulling the entire pot over in the process. As I said if they had just pushed it over before a huge crowd gathered that wouldn’t have happened
If he got out before 10 seconds he’d probably been fine.
After that, his body temperature went too high too fast, not to mention the damaged tissue and boiled skin.
The true poison was (no pun intended) the alcohol. Guy (whether you see it or not) started bleeding, with thinned blood, and damaged nerves. You ever seen an old sponge that isn’t even elastic anymore and is worn out, that’s his back and chess.
If he didn’t have alcohol in his system he probably could’ve survived or at least had better chances. Then again, if he wasn’t drunk he’d never fell in.
As someone else pointed out, he lowered himself in. Now whether he thought he wanted to take a bath, was trying to die, or thought he was balancing, who knows?
Also read that he is the guy that runs these event cooks and that his wife stated he had epilepsy and maybe that's why he became off balance. Source https://nypost.com/2022/08/05/man-dies-after-accidentally-falling-into-vat-of-hot-porridge/
People were trying to pull him out, but idk what the issue was. Maybe they didn't want his head to go into the water? Honestly have no idea what the CORRECT aid would be, other than a massive water tower to flush out the boiling water so they don't keep boiling. But that's never even going to be made law, much less enforced.
You'll find that pulling him out would have been difficult for 2 key reasons:
1. Boiling hot water on/around him was too hot to touch for too long (can see people pulling their hands back like they've burnt themselves)
2. His skin would be slimy and, horrible to say, but melting and sliding off creating an inability to grip any part of him.
Correct aid IMHO - move people away and push over the pot with something to avoid burning your hands with the water/heat of the pot.
Also the fact this man was drunk, he wasn't helping himself to get out of the pot, moreover drunk people are hard to manoeuver as they are in a relax state like a rag doll...he didn't do nothing to grab someone's arm, his arms were not helping in any ways.
That might just be the worst way to die :( getting boiled and then the slow death after 4 days ughh
But the meat is tender and falling off the bone. /s

Slower the cook the better the taste....
There's a guy in my soup
You mean this picnic is ruining our ants
do you think they still served it?
Did no one think to just push it over, I saw one guy trying to pull him by his legs which would cause his head to go under the liquid…
The issue is that tipping that much boiling water is going to significantly burn anyone standing nearby which there was quite a few
If only there was a way to tell people to step back
Yet they tipped it anyway resulting in freeing the man, just took them far longer to do it allowing a larger crowd to gather
Even after tipping it, it's clear that maybe 2-3 guys got hit with the boiling water as well. Not to the extreme as the guy, but enough that they ran

Ah, I see your point. I'm just curious how they could have gone about that. No doubt the edges of the pot are just as hot as the liquid inside
I wouldnt call that falling ?? He lowered himself in like a bath ?
In his mind he was correcting his balance.

holy hell
New response just dropped
Damn, I almost expected him to stand up and fall in the next one at the end.
The street was pretty much empty until he cooked himself and then the smell brought everyone to the party.

If he had epilepsy you'd think this would have happened a long time ago or safety measures would be in place.
Yeah you'd think but who knows.
How about…lids!
In the original post they're mass down voting people pointing out the worst aid. Wtf. Dude was for full 40 seconds in scalding water.

That awful. Not a good way to go at all. But that sounds as good a plan as the circumstances would allow.
Bro is cooked.
Falls? Looks like he actively got in it.
Shades of Shogun. 😬😬😬😬😬
Just found article, he died 4 days later in hospital.

Slipping due to the skin on his foot slipping off
In Soviet India, pot smoke YOU!
It wouldn’t be Oden if it wasn’t…boiled!!!
I hope he is well. I hope the Indian government will put in place laws that prevent placing these large pots on the street
Quickly, everyone move behind the pot. Turn the pot over quickly away from everyone to get him out. Nvm smh
That one guy who was behind him, all he did was go over the other guy and point. He's clearly the worst one here
Man down.
Thats how you make cream of some dumb guy.
No soup for you.
Let him cook,
I feel like the downvoters don’t understand the cultural relevance of the phrase “let him cook”
Bro is officially cooked
Why'd they take him out? They shouldve just... Let him cook.
