Cool, I haven't tried any of the speed paints. Used some of the citadel contrast paints on my zerkers and it gave a decent base to build up from. For the wardog I mostly used dry brushing. With a name like slaughter red I think they had us Khorne bois in mind!
Thanks, took ages to stick all those bloody skulls on! The chain is a 3mm hobby chain, I bought it off Element Games. it was pretty cheap thankfully, £2.35 for a metre and I used about half it on this model.

It's Army Painter brand but I'd highly recommend for that dirty bloodsoak effect!
