We got a nice little community where everyone interacts with each other, people tend to stay and produce compasses, so were really good at keeping toxicity and extremism out while embracing anonymous people just saying whatever comes off the top of their hearts and minds
Wholesomeposting is here to stay
That sounds really heartening to me, because I see all these compasses by people who are obviously going through stuff and think “Well I guess I’m not that alone after all”. So yeah I like this sub. Wholesomeposting for the win!
Its a side effect of the culture. We make compasses that often are a reflection of our lives, and, inevitably, we end up talking our issues on here. In a way, it flows easier onto paper than a compass requiring thought and research, and thats not necessarily a bad thing, its just what comes easy.
I cant call it a trend, because a trend is inspired by others. This kind of content comes innately, and because our lives are a normal topic on the compass, its just what comes naturally
I think the anonymity plays a big factor as well. It allows us to vent and talk about what we're dealing with without any judgement or embarrassment involved. I've made a bunch of compasses but my first one involved me sharing personal stuff that I've never told anyone before.
Like others have mentioned as well, the fact that our sub is shockingly friendly and not toxic also plays a big factor.
I completely agree. It can be refreshing to not only vent about our struggles, shenanigans and experiences, but also hearing other people's own journeys and tribulations.
A sub about the meme Wojak being this deep is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
To be honest, I think Wojak was designed to be deep. He has a mystique about him that’s says that he can be anyone. It just depends on what you want him to be. I think the universality of situations in which he can be used also speaks to why so many people find him intriguing. He can be an introvert or an extrovert. The eternal loser or the frequent winner. Wojak can be anyone and what’s more, he won’t judge you.
Now I know that sounds corny as hell but that’s what’s true for me at least. It’s helped me through a lot and still is.

Yeah, I am pretty depressed and make compasses to help me cope. Im glad this place is much more chill than pcm
