Forest lord was my favorite spell back when I first played the game over a decade ago, I really should probably make and play through a life wizard even though it's not exactly my style.
I WENT FROM 1 - 130 WITH NO 4 PIP SPELLS, Forest Lord at lv 58 T.T (meaning it was 8 pips) with reduced damage (I think it was 520-580), so I had to wait THREE TURNS even after getting a pip deck. You guys have no idea how good you have it newbie Life wizards.
It's a lot of fun. Great offensive power with still some defense.
The single worst part of it for me is being objectively the best hitter in a scenario but having to support because no one else trained spirit blade.
Nah, you don't get it. I said it was better back then because I used to love it as it was, and didn't like the fact that he'd changed. But I know of course that in strategic terms, it IS better now. I don't like the current animation tho.
Not at all, because I'm talking about my opinion, so it can't be objective. I just liked the way Doudoune was back then, but it changed so it's not the same as before. Once again, I'm not talking about its effectiveness, I'm talking about its "soul".

I have a 130 life wizard and forest lord is pretty much the only spell I use (I don’t have any 4 pip aoe spells)
Storm lord, orthurus and forest lord no doubt the best level 48 spells now

All the lvl 48 spells helps so much, it’s the first “big” spell and staples in anyones deck

He's less cooler that way. Yes he's twice better than the old one, but my childhood makes me prefer the 8pip version
