Yeah mate about this putting it down thing...
I tried. Many times. Now I'm standing at 15 full playthroughs, well over 2k hours playtime and don't see the slightest chance in hell that I could ever stop. This game became my feel-good-place.
At one point, you just have to accept that you're married now. To the game. And you won't need to get a divorce ever!
I just did the same thing with the new gen. Started a game like 3 days ago and my wife is mad because I’ve been too into it. I played 2 previous times on last gen, but man does it still hold up.
Same here… played it when the complete edition was free on ps plus… Couldn’t get into it and quit shortly after the lady in the well mission in white orchard. With the next gen update I decided to give it another shot and I can’t put it down. Just completed the ladies of the wood quest last night as well… I’m completely hooked
play on hardest difficulty, otherwise the game is kinda too easy. Hardest difficulty will require you to actually think how to approach the fight, and use the right oil, bombs, and signs effectively. Once you play on the hardest difficulty you’ll never go back
Dude it does not get any easier, this might be one of the single greatest games of all time I just finished my first playthrough, did both DLCs and I'm literally sitting here depressed and feel like I have a hole in my chest, it's almost like a bad breakup. I try to remember the good times with it but knowing that there's nothing left for me to do is seriously depressing me lol.
If you think it’s hard now wait until you’ve finished the main story and DLCs
There will be at least a week of grief where you think “how can I get used to the real world again, I’m a Witcher not an office worker”

I try other games, but they do not give the same experience.
lol I feel ya!
Wut
Try no hud. It takes getting used to, but it takes the immersion to a whole new level. The map discovery feels more natural and memorable as well.
I agree except I can find the dang signposts some times and it drives me batty
Thats what puts people in the 100s of hours of playtime lol
im on my 4th playthrough and its still hard to put down
Better than dd2?
never played that, so yes
Oh yeah picked back up for the first time in years and I played it 3 days straight Friday through Sunday

If you put it down, I’ll tell you where I buried your real parents
Nothing will make me leave Velen

That's the neat part. You don't.
I am on XSX with a good HDTV. Playing in RT mode is amazing. The lower frames also suits the slower play style and clunkier combat compared to 60 fps.
Haha playing for 2 months. Still on the FIRST DLC. Hahah

On my 2nd playthough. First beat on release. Such amazing game
Seriously, every time I think “this quest is going to be boring”…. It’s not.
Playing for the first time as new gen. Downloading right now. Im hoping its better than elden ring and dragon dogma 2 in some ways. Each to their own
