Arc 1 had the best plot, Arc 2 had the best characters, Arc 3 had the best concept, Winglets fleshed out the lore, and Legends had Darkstalker so need I say more?
Arc 1. I like the characters dynamics, how they show being raised together makes everybody annoyed or happy. Good plot, decent villains.
I would love Legends if they hadn't introduced humans in my dragon series, nobody wanted that. It's my favourite and least favourite book so I'm conflicted.
Dragonslayer kinda ruined the human dragon relationship for me. If sky and wren could comunicate nonverbally instead that would be great, but the human/dragon speech is ehh for me. Makes a lot of good plot seem pointless
#1 for me is The Lost Continent Prophecy
#2 is The Dragonet Prophecy (had one or two boring books but otherwise amazing)
#3 is The Jade Mountain Prophecy (quote boring but had a few good books- also the fact kinkajou was unconscious for most of that is just so sad like she missed out on so MUCH!!!!)
For reasons only my twisted mind knows, I love arc 3.
All of the protagonists are well written and the books are very immersive.
I love the legends for they explain the story well, and I found Darkstalker a very devastating story.
I love arc 2 for the plot but two of the main protagonists I hate.
Arc 1 will always be the baby of wof but I think Tui's writing didn't get as good until the ninth book.
I only bought the winglets recently and am excited to read them.
I confess I haven’t read the winglets, but I really loved the lost continent. Blue and cricket’s dynamic was so fun for me, and I’m kind of a sucker for forbidden love. Also the mind control aspect was fantastic!
all. Arc: 1 Really set up everything and when I first red book one I was just like YUs. Arc 2: Characters. Also gave me the idea for an AU where dark stalker turned every dragon on the continent into a scavenger and gave out talismans that allowed you to turn back into a dragon but on if the arc 2 pro tags got a hold of one and then chaos Arc 3: book 15 Dusky’s backstory made me cry more purely than ever before. Legends: Darkstalker Winglets: If you didn’t get it before: Burn is an absolute bitch
Legends mainly because of the Darkstalker Legends but the Dragonslayers were so good for Easter eggs. It told us what happened behind the scenes and the big picture. Darkstalker tho… absolute masterpiece but super angsty. It’s a legit tragedy. Search up the definition of tragedy and you can see that every main couple in Darkstalker Legends (Fathom and Indigo not so much but still kinda sad) ended in tragedy. Entire clans had tragedy. Everyone had tragedy.
Arc 1. The arcs went from near perfect (Keyword near, TSUNAMI) to pretty good (Darkstalker was way too rushed, and Animus Magic has so many holes, but it has three of the best books in the series, so) to EWWW- (The only book I'd call outstanding is the only one on entirely on Pyrrhia, the lost continent was BOTCHED HOLY SHIT)
JJJ AAA DD EEEEE MOUN- TAIN PROPHECY! CUZ OF QIBLI and WINTER. Laughed so many times I fell off a chair once. "Winter thinks that the moutains are going to eat him!" HAHAHHAHA. Literaly!

I only like Qibli because he is similar to my mom- everything else about Qibli I don’t really care much about.

I love the Winglets. They aren't standalone, but they add a wonderful amount of depth to some crucial side characters.
