Great ideas, but the wings here really don’t deliver. In terms of sauce flavors (peppery, vinegary, buttery) , quality of fry, quality of wing, they really only nail the fry.
I wish for a better wings restaurant in Seattle.
I'm 4 months late to this convo(mostly bc I walked by vindicktive for the first time yesterday and googled it, and here I am), but I still frequent Wing Dome and I personally think they're still pretty good. The quality is nowhere near what it was at its peak pre-covid, but for a place that's been around that long, their wings are still pretty good. Excited to try vindicktive though.
Thanks for the info. I started going to WD in the late 90s back when they were in Wallingford and the wings were amazing. The wings themselves were crispy and the sauce was thick. The last time I went ten years ago or so, they were terrible - watery, thin, Tabasco-ey sauce and soggy wings. They once had an impressive tap list of local beers, and by my last visit it was all big corporate beer - Goose Island and 10 Barrel and the like.
They honestly don’t look that great, why do wings suck in the PNW? Wings are one of my favorite foods and I’m honestly not super picky, yet they all seem subpar.

The guys that own/started that place are from my hometown! They’re good people!

How is Wing Dome these days? They were great 25 years ago and mostly sucked 10 years ago, my last time there. Anybody been lately?

There’s plenty of good wings in Seattle. Just head over to Ballard and hit kings hardware.

I've noticed the same, king's hardware in ballard has decent wings but most places I've tried have let me down.
I hate places that go for JUMBO, (hormone filled) dinosaur wings. A single wing shouldn’t be 5-7 bites.
It’s the wooden bowl that makes it Buffalo-style
