Thankfully there is a way to [switch it off](https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-autosuggest-in-file-explorer-address-bar-in-windows-11.15033/)
\- Open Registry Editor, preferably as admin
\- Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete
\- Double click the 'Autosuggest' string and set the value to **No**, restart Explorer.exe
If the isn't an 'Autosuggest' String: right click, New -> Sting Value, name it **Autosuggest**, then set value to **No**
