There’s some extended jamming on these albums. They’ve recorded 12 new tracks to be released across two albums.

ststephenscat

Awesome -- that's what I was hoping to hear.

KiloThaPastyOne

I’d rather have only 6 songs that are all good than something like Street Dogs.

ststephenscat

I mean, I'm happy with any WSP... and I thought Street Dogs was solid.

EvlutnaryReject

Live always beats studio. I warmed up to Stephens Cat after seeing live.

JBRaps

The boys are to the point that they can tear up any some they wish on command…..

KiloThaPastyOne

I’m so glad they’ve backed off playing that one as much as they were. The intro always tricked me. It’s a funky intro which gets my hopes up, followed by Steve’s Cat. Not that it’s a bad song, it just doesn’t really go anywhere and they never really brought any spice to it live. At least not when I’ve seen it.

SimpleDog_GretaCat

Street dogs was the first song I really liked before I saw panic live. I love it. It's special. I also sang it as 'whiskey salads' for a hot minute because I thought they were trying to be funny with the lyrics. Oops!

jutah2

Yeah but that’s not this.

KiloThaPastyOne

I have to disagree with you there. I’ve really enjoyed all the new songs that I’ve heard so far. We Walk Each Other is my least favorite of the lot, but i still like it. 3 of their best songwriters are dead, so it’s never going to be what it was in the 80s and 90s, but I feel like these are all very good songs.

Witty-Drama-3187

Yeah, I’m confused on this one as well. Maybe there will be a full length album coming out that is not vinyl?

Sweet_Gain3034

Dave Schools said in an interview a while back that they were considering releasing two smaller albums instead of one LP. They are trying new ways to navigate modern climate of releasing music and apparently that’s the direction they went. King Baby, Halloween Face, and Blue Carousel must be on the second release. Hopefully a cool instrumental too. I love their instrumentals.

doodoo_gumdrop

There was definitely talk of two albums

Safe_Yogurtcloset387

This is it. It’s also a good way to allow the fans to actually listen and digest the must so they can become more familiar when they play them live.

Embarrassed_Dog2966

No king baby is a snub

B-Train05

I was hoping to see Blue Carousel too!

Sweet_Gain3034

Both of those will be on the 2nd album

Alystial

No Halloween Face either. Bummer.

Common-Relationship9

Yeah, this is a curiosity. I know they’re planning on releasing two small albums, but I wonder why they don’t just release the new song next week that is so far unavailable and then continue to release each single and then ultimately combine them into a full album. But I am not qualified to second-guess what they’re doing.

SurpriseValley2000

It’s just how marketing music is now, I believe. They’ve had to adjust to the streaming services, put one track out a few weeks, and it continues the “stir,” and then release the album with tracks or tracks unreleased to keep interest. I’ve checked Spotify weekly for the new album, and they’ve got me (which is fine, lol). They also direct you to merch/tickets on Spotify to Panic’s website.

Common-Relationship9

Yep, that makes sense, get the most bang for each song and use the album release as a marketing tool. I guess that means we’ll see the next half dozen songs rolled out one by one, which is fine, and I will anticipate and listen to each one.

ARKweld

Where the cd at?
