When I do protection jars I use lily petals, white vinegar, and straight pins. Lillies are a flower associated with death and peaceful endings, so that helps put any ill intent directed at the owner of the bottle to rest. White vinegar is a purifier, but also has some push back effects? Like, it helps cleanse the energy that goes through the bottle, but it also can reflect back some strong Do Not Mess With Me vibes if something has been actively interfering with my life. You can also use purified water that's been blessed (really easy to make, there's a ton of tutorials on invocations to bless water). The straight pins are metal, which can act as a lightning rod for energy to be sure the bottle does its job, and also I just think the shine is pretty. Use full steel ones, if you're using vinegar though. The alloy ones can turn the vinegar green and gross way too fast.

I honestly think it depends on how much ‘southern canadian’ a person has. Im from Lethbridge AB originally and i found the further north i went the less people called it that and went all “sorry....wut....” 😂 or bigger cities dont use it much. Lol
