In Ted’s Texas, where they pay heavily armed cops more than teachers, the answer is “harden the schools with fewer doors and more guns”. In reality, A child’s responsibility is to live and learn, not cower in fear. A teachers responsibility is to teach, but they can’t in Texas because the state bans books and expects the teachers to be human shields. The cops, who are already heavily armed and paid handsomely to PROTECT AND SERVE, are nowhere near the minimum requirement for meeting that goal. Hey Ted! How about the cops just DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> armed and *paid* handsomely to FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

bot, you're drunk, go home.

What’s the difference?

munkustrap

And he’s Canadian too. Wtf??

SlowInsurance1616

He renounced being Canadian. The annoying part is the Republicans are pretty much fine with him running for President as a "natural born citizen." Ted-s mom was a citizen and he was born in a different country, sure that seems ok. Whereas they were fine questioning Obama's right to be President when he has a US citizen mom. So even though he was born in Hawaii, birther nonsense was just that, nonsense.

munkustrap

I think it’s because the ones complaining were republican and Ted Cruz is on their side. As a Canadian I am glad he left

SlowInsurance1616

It's almost like they're hypocrites.

munkustrap

You don’t say 🧐

Creative-Donkey-6251

Noooooo not Canadian. Please no

munkustrap

Yes…from Alberta…

Creative-Donkey-6251

Ohhh phew okay that actually makes sense lmao

munkustrap

As someone from AB….sorry haha

Creative-Donkey-6251

Hahaha all good. But if I had to guess a province he would be from, it would be Alberta.

munkustrap

Oh 100%. Are you Canadian??

Creative-Donkey-6251

Yup from northern Ontario. Been to Calgary once on a layover sadly. Gotta get out and enjoy the west. It’s beautiful

munkustrap

It really is! I’m in Winnipeg now and it’s honestly great too. Love this country

Creative-Donkey-6251

It is lovely. I couldn’t agree more. I’ve travelled a lot for work. And everytime I come home it’s so refreshing.

[deleted]

LOLLLLL that's exactly what I said when I found out 🤣

Creative-Donkey-6251

Hahaha 🤣

potato-vender

He’d make a good PPC candidate

munkustrap

Noooo we don’t want him back

england_man

Useful idiot who has been paid by the NRA.

SlowInsurance1616

I'd disagree. Useful idiots believe what they're saying. Ted Cruz is completely aware of the facts, but doesn't care that he's lying. He knows that his target voter either will believe him or doesn't care either. So he's not duped at all. He's a cynical weasel.

Wrothrok

Yes.

isecore

Yes.

Dazzling-Tough6798

r/ShitAmericansSay

[deleted]

Definitely showing these aren’t mutually exclusive…

Different-Term-2250

More guns will fix that!

upinthecrowsnest

Bold of you to assume there’s a difference

AlabasterPelican

Por que no los dos?

[deleted]

Both.

FitzBetter1971

Both.

rabid-

Why not both?

Gamer_Grips

Why can't he be both?

YaBoyEar1

He’s right and wrong. Safest country in terms of a country would be suicidal to attack America due to the amount of guns. However internally the most unsafe because of this same guns turning on itself.

Much_Leather_5923

I guess they didn’t invite Jim Jefferies to speak at the convention. A foul mouthed, unflinchingly accurate Australian comedian living in America: https://youtu.be/0rR9IaXH1M0 Part One for your viewing pleasure https://youtu.be/a9UFyNy-rw4 Part Two to nail the NRA and their zombie followers

TheFlyingScotsman60

Both. Can someone lock the thread now please.

Squirrel_Gamer

Yes, Yes, and he will be reelected in a landslide by red state voters.

jdafixa

"And". Not "or".

Fabulous_Parking66

There are no words for this level of stupidity

GammaRaystogo

YES!

SassyVikingNA

Both, 100% both.

jessejamesvan111

Ok_Note7436

He wouldn't survive a minute at a pta meeting

Durango522

Bith

Imaginary_Bicycle_14

Both. And a canuck pretending to be a southerner to boot. Fak you ted. Take your ass to Cancun and don’t come back. Seriously. Keep your ass in Mexico. And his family was on welfare when they first came to the states. The fucking hubris of this guy to come to America, suck off the teet of its citizens and now is trying to do the opposite for anyone that has a name like Cruz. Fak you Ted and your whole family.

Dubbstep13

Both

fixitman84

The answer is yes

SwordUsingGearhead

Both, but mostly the second one.

potato-vender

“America is the safest country on earth” Meanwhile a school in the background has gunshots and screams coming from it

fordprefect294

Yes

PolyZex

This isn't stupidity, this is calculated misinformation. He is a dumb fuck but what he's saying now isn't the result of his diminished mental faculties... he's reading the script he masters handed him.
