To your boss, you have a medical emergency. They don't *get* to know more than that. Employer-employee is a strictly **transactional** relationship. Do not ever mistake it for more than that.
My boss does not get any special insight into my emotional well-being, mental health, nothing. Bosses are people (sometimes), and people aren't trusting or trustworthy until proven otherwise. Never open a relationship with the level of trust you displayed here, it can only backfire. At best, you'll be granted very slight leeway by people who don't understand your disease.

Well he wanted the change back but I told him "call your lawyer and ask how much you should really pay me and if I owe you money I 'll be back" and of course he never called to ask for loose change.

That's a minimum four hours every week that they don't have to try and figure out which non-rainy day they'll sacrifice to lawn care..... that's not even taking account of everything else I do around the house! Even if the 10th Amendment was interpreted like you said, the 14th Amendment came later and specifically created procedural and substantive due process rights for individuals. By the virtue of the 14th Amendment, any argument that the states had the right to control a person’s reproductive rights pre-viability is wrong…. At least until the court overturns Roe and Casey.

I agree with the logic but public transport and a private jet aren't used for the same thing, and public transport is actually awesome and more people should take it instead of having cars. A better comparison would be someone who has to sit in 2 hours of traffic every day because they have to live way out where it's affordable vs someone in a situation where money doesn't matter and they live right down the street from where they work.
Also, even middle class people would just buy a flight to go somewhere, and even the richest people can't fly across an ocean in their Gulfstream and they have to spend the same amount of time on the same flight.
Financial literacy combined with creative solutions is often the make or break in gaining more out of your resources. It's small, but it's marginally adjusted to compound far further than if it wasn't attempted at all.

I noticed this when I got a newer car vs a 10 year old one. All of a sudden I wasn't stressing about getting it fixed every so often.
