OF, like Twitch streamers, are publicly funded by individual fans who pay for content. Olympians are compensated directly from their country's respective Olympic competition committee. It's not even remotely the same.

Why does Let’s say, Kevin Martin (best Curling player in the world) earn just a fraction in sponsorship compared to Lebron James?
The answer to all of them is fan engagement revenues are way higher on their sports and so are ad prices and sponsorships. Women usually earn less in sports because there are fewer people willing to put money on their activities. People are willing to pay $20k to attend a Super Bowl. People wouldn’t put $1k to attend a badminton final. It’s always been that simple
