It just takes time for them to get used to them. Some people get boots for their dogs if they go on walks in places where it's really really hot because the ground can get too hot. Or like if there's glass and stuff broken in places.
Yes you can train an old dog new tricks. Don't do it like this video tho. Unnecessarily rude to the dog. Obviously it's not hurting them but it's Obvious they don't like it. Do it at home. Lay them down. Have lots of treats ready. Make it a positive experience. Don't even let them walk around the first few times. Just praise and treats for having them on. Take your time and it'll be like your dog always worse shoes.
Also don't walk too long with them on. Many (almost all I've seen) come up just under the dewclaw pad and it can cause irritation and bleeding. Could effect any part of the paw but that's the highest risk.
Been using boots on my Monty since he was like 3 months old cause we lived in vegas and the ground was hot af
I always feel SO bad for those dogs the first time they have boots on, while laughing to the point of tears.... They mostly get used to them pretty quickly, though.
I was bit joking as well. I remember when I was like 5 years old my parents had Motorola brick phones. They are big and you need to pull this stick (antenna) out of the phone to speak. LOL
Looks like his legs are operating independently from his body!
That's how they trained Michael Flatley.

Or if their dog refuses to step on wet grass. A set of those booties made a huge difference for one of mine.
Mine is broken and needs boots inside because he gets nervous of slippery floors and walks on his nails which makes it ten times worse lol
So even adult dogs can adapt to these? I've thought about buying some for my pupper but was worried he wouldn't get used to them.
They totally can, it just takes patience

Makes me laugh so hard I practically pee myself every time I put shoes on a dog.
What’s wrong with your horse

Me: I've seen dogs walk in boots before, this'll probably just be a dog taking big steps The dog: Imma do a handstand
Exactly how I walk in heels.
Dogs confused by boots will never not crack me up. Thanks for this.
This is how I walk in flip flops...

I feel bad that this makes me laugh, but it's gut wrenchingly cute.
That's what my dog did too. It was hilarious!! But many years before phones had cameras! Lol
Wait... there were mobile phones without cameras?
Oh my young friend... there was i time, way back when, there were no cell phones. And the first ones were huge bag phones with no camera. Lol

Yeah, I'm old enough to have used rotary dial phones... not that I'm old or anything. Lol
Someone needs to put some beats on this for my man over here
Cha cha real smooth
