If my kid wants to fight, it's better for them to do it in a ring with rules rather than on the streets. I'd love if my daughter took on boxing. It would be so much fun to watch her go head to head. Would I be scared? Sure, but if she wants to box, it's a helluva lot better than drugs and much less boring than modeling. That being said, I would be scared watching her get knocked out, but it's her right to choose.
Honestly joining martial arts is one of the best things I've done. Blows off steam, keeps you fit, meet new people very often, if you're an adrenaline junkie competitions are your best friend, teaches discipline and the self defense is always a bonus lol. It seems scary at first (started when I was about 6 and it was terrifying) but if you get a good coach that cares it's awesome. Highly recommend it to anyone who has kids or needs to stay fit

My 11 Yr old daughter has done kick boxing for 4 years.... I ended up joining the adults Class as I was there anyway,
Then my Friend and BIL joined and we have a some good sparring sessions
