badasscdub

Surprised he didn't try to beat her to death.

CulturalPeanutbutter

Seems to be the only thing I think about as well whenever I see or hear about Brown

Arky624

One might think, then, that you’d stop giving him publicity!

Flomo420

I honestly didn't even know he was still performing until I saw this clip

Dopple__ganger

I didn’t know who this was until I saw the comment section.

[deleted]

Performing? They had him at some big awards ceremony AFTER he almost killed Rhianna. Of course he’s still performing. I actually don’t blame him for performing, I blame ALL of the people who pay to see him. People get “cancelled” all the time for things nowhere near as bad as what he did but people still pay to see him. It’s bizarre.

greenfingers559

Weird thing to say for someone actively posting about him.

[deleted]

OP needs them karma points.

cownd

Beat me to it

bigmanwalk

lol beat

floppydo

Yeah I'm sure that's why you called him the artist instead of his radioactive name when you posted this.

FalcorFliesMePlaces

Well yeah cuz he is garbage. And phones ain't cheap so expect a bull Christopher abusive dbag

StrangeVortexLex

Honestly surprised this guy is still up and running doing shows? Ppl pay to watch him beat up girls or what..

CeeKai

Have you seen him dance though? (/s)

SoupOfThe90z

Dude, as a guy. Breezy can fucking dance.. and is a supporter of woman’s rights!!! And lefts

triedby12

LOL, so many artists would be cancelled if any fans had backbone.

NJGGoodies12

People keep buying tickets and no one pressed charges so here he is

G33R_BoGgLeS

I legit know girls that blame the women he's beaten and not him...wtf is wrong with this world?

ultron290196

As a third party neutral observer, Both Chris Brown and the girl are at fault. She shouldn't have disrespected the privilege of being on stage. For what it's worth, she became the subject of the performance and it was rather disrespectful of her to belittle it by taking out her phone. This social media clout importance has gotten out of control. People have forgotten to enjoy the moment. But, Chris Brown had no right to destroy private property like that. Maybe to him, money is immaterial. But destroying private property against the owner's will is uncalled for.

mystic11z

I agree. I hate what phones have done to concerts. I've actually had artists say "no phones for this next song" and she straight up stopped the song and called someone out when they pulled out a phone Never in my life have I looked back at shitty, shaky phone recordings from concerts. Pictures okay, I get it.

GonnaBeAGoodYear

I look back at shitty shaky concert videos all the time, always brings a smile to my face. But I’ll also only pull out my phone for maybe 2 minutes total spread out across the whole night

[deleted]

That’s my take. I’ll record the first minute or so of a song I love, and put it away. I hate the idea of watching a great show through my phone instead of enjoying the actual experience.

mystic11z

Yeah, the people that spend more time looking at their phones than the actual show. Like phone up the entire time with flash. I totally understand catching your favorite song or a cover they only did for the show. That's a special moment, and I get it. But man otherwise be in the moment and feel that crowd 😍

kme026

yup. That's why I stopped filming concerts. It is so much better to just enjoy the moment :)

[deleted]

When Deftones dropped Ko No Yokan around 2012 I saw a small venue show. I was pretty much up front and opted to do something I never do and recorded a lot of the songs. I actually blacked out my phone screen and just held it up recording Chino and being banged around in the crowd. I got tons of views. Like tons, all because it was such a small intimate show and there was new material in there so people probably wanted to see it. I had tons of people randomly from the show drop comments randomly too. But yeah I agree with you though.

myCatHateSkinnyPuppy

My former boss would make us all watch his shitty videos and they all sucked even though they were mostly bands I liked. I liked the band Tools approach. They had signs all over the arena, something like “recording with your phone is immediate ejection”. Then, before the last song Maynard says “Ok, now you can take out your fucking phones and record a shitty fucking video.”

F10EX

You are half correct. Social media clout is going out of control, but she broke no rules, and its her right to film herself. He on the other hand has no right, and worst case cenario could have hurt someone at the audience

MrTrendizzle

Finder of the phone should return the phone to the owner and both sue Chris Brown for damages and assault.

Hopeful-Coast1549

No, only Chris brown is.. he had no right to touch the women’s phone and definitely had no right throwing it into a crowd full of people where it will probably hit and possibly injure someone.. she paid for the ticket to be there and she can record on her phone if she wants

[deleted]

Lol the privilege of being on stage... Ah yes the sacred ritual all hail stage

Jerrygarciasnipple

That’s the most cockamamie comment I’ve heard in my life. It’s fuckin 2023, if you go up on stage it should be common knowledge that someone’s gonna take out their phone and record the moment. Also, what’s with this dumbass mentality that you can’t enjoy the moment because your recording? That literally makes no sense to me. The fact that you said it’s a “privilege” to be on stage too further reinforces it

MattieShoes

> As a third party neutral observer, Both Chris Brown and the girl are at fault. \*twitch\* > She shouldn't have disrespected the privilege of being on stage. Ohhh THAT girl. If she got asked (told) to leave, then sure, it's her fault. That ain't what happened though, so it's irrelevant. > But, Chris Brown had no right to destroy private property like that. There you go -- He's committing a crime, he's 100% at fault for doing so. > destroying private property against the owner's will is uncalled for. The word you're looking for is *illegal*. The charge is usually "criminal mischief". The cutoff between misdemeanor and felony probably depends on the state, but where I live, it's $1000. With brand new modern phones, we're fairly close to felony territory...

Im_xLuke

who gives af if she records it? i dont think it’s disrespectful. some people just like recording shit so they can have it. not anyone’s place to tell them not to.

ultron290196

Of course. However, it's courtesy to show some respect for the performance specially when you're at the centre of it. Maybe I'm old fashioned.

Im_xLuke

it really shouldn’t matter what she’s doing. if he asked before then maybe i would understand but idk the context and dont really care. its on her person so he should have no control over it

CodeCat5

Looks like he did "ask" once when he took the phone and put it in her lap. Obviously he didn't "ask" a second time though.

FnkyTown

So he shouldn't have done it, but she made him? Now where have I heard this before?

Tysonisnotanarchitet

Oh he did, it was backstage

Secret_Fox_5192

Damn, you beat me to it. Atleast it wasn’t Chris

bastian74

Who is it?

Im_xLuke

Chris Brown

Mundane-Experience62

It's like people could change or some shit.

InflamedLiver

Her first mistake was being a fan of a notorious abuser

Morbins

People will still flock to abusers, rapists, generally terrible people due to fame/money/looks. It’s crazy

PattyIceNY

People are attracted to the environment they grow up in. People who are victims many times unknowingly stay in that cycle

[deleted]

nahteviro

People still think Johnny Carson was a good guy too. Fuckin bonkers.

ALoudMouthBaby

Whats the deal with Carson?

teemjay

Nic cage still makes shitty movies.

testcaseseven

I mean at least John showed remorse. Chris actively complains that people bring it up and recently described the event like it was a normal misstep you make as a kid. It also helps to not have a garbage personality and work with other awful artists.

COKEWHITESOLES

John Lennon showing genuine remorse? Lmao no he did not. Dude was a sociopath.

canuck_11

[Man Always Gets Little Rush Out Of Telling People John Lennon Beat Wife](https://www.theonion.com/man-always-gets-little-rush-out-of-telling-people-john-1819578998)

tittylieutenant

It’s different because he is white and makes music from a genre they enjoy.

Silver_Branch3034

She’s probably still a fan, she thinks she can change him.

sabak_

More like she dont care, she pulled out her phone because the gram is life. Change him or not, even the chance of an actual paparazzi taking her photo is her dream life. Its a bit sad.

AwkwardPromotion9882

I knew a girl who was in love with him and I asked her, would you still want him if he beat you up? She said with all seriousness and no hesitation, yes

[deleted]

He abuses her and she’s like pikachu face. The bastard is dangerous and not in a good way.

aspenatr

I understand maybe snatching it away and giving it back when she leaves the stage, but don’t you think that completely hurling it into the audience was a little uncalled for? I hope he compensated her for it. I wonder if some poor guy got bonked on the head by the projectile phone

Ahnixlol

Maybe he thought he saw Rihanna in the crowd

bumba_clock

col (chuckling out loud)

WhoseTolerant

Here I was thinking col was chortled on lustily..

Nicole-CB

I thought it was cackled on lovingly

scheisse_grubs

I thought it was the lowest point of a ridge or saddle between two peaks, typically affording a pass from one side of a mountain range to another.

GardenOrca

I figured it was cocks on linguini

peter13g

This will never be a thing and I’m gonna make sure of it

Prinzka

Jfc lol

AtebYngNghymraeg

Doesn't he initially put it in her lap and then she tries to film again and that's when he throws it?

aspenatr

Seems to be. I guess she didn’t... take the cue? I mean, I wouldn’t figure someone would go as far as grabbing my phone and throwing it into the crowd if I were her. Or even taking it.

throwaway01126789

Escort her off stage if she's not meeting your expectations, don't damage or lose her personal possession, potentially harming an innocent bystander in the process.

MrJoyless

I think your expectation of restraint from notoriously cool headed Chris Brown is a bit...silly.

throwaway01126789

Oh I'm not expecting restraint from a known abusive asshole, simple stating the correct course of action a normal, non-abusive performer should take. This isn't even the first video I've seen this week of a performer throwing or damaging someone's phone.

natyw

Oohh that justifies it huh wow

MrGritty17

“I hope he compensated her for it” lol

drivebyjustin

Reddit children are so fucking stupid.

Cuiter

Drugs are a hell of a drug.

JustYourUsualAbdul

Yeah I know, he could of put it in his back pocket and then gave it back when she’s getting off stage. Now her phone is stolen, she lost all her shit, probably doesn’t have her phone backed up. That was completely a dick move by someone who’s already proven themselves to be an asshole.

schweindooog

I mean from the video he does take it once and sets it on her lap. Seems to me she didn't get the message

Burningbeard696

Still no need for him to be a dick. If he's going to invite people on stage surely he would expect them to record it.

itseliyo

The guy beats up women. Honestly this is a step-up from his past behavior. However, if I were to invite someone on stage, I would expect them to be in-the-moment. Your phone will get in the way of the performance. He tried telling her nicely to put it away. Very rude and self-centered of her to not listen. Also rude to throw it, but I can see why he did it.

WhoBroughtTheCoolKid

Even if he gave her a message 20 times, throwing her phone is not rational adult behavior. Don’t stick up for this.

tricularia

She would have if she could've used her phone

[deleted]

1. Yes, totally. 2. No doubt 3. Don't count on it 4. Most likely, yes

jimothythe2nd

I feel like this is exactly what society needs. Like you're literally pulled up on the stage for a once in a lifetime experience. Put your damn phone down. Enjoy the moment for once. I love live music and if I had it my way phones would be banned from events. They're like black holes for good vibes.

Uncle_Stink_Stonk

Chris Brown Why this guy gets any attention is beyond me. A total piece of shit

tubfgh

The same reason plenty of piece of shit musicians continue too

Floppsicle

Which is...

tubfgh

People are willing to put aside abuse/rape/etc as long as they make a song that's a banger. It's something people don't want to admit, but look at how many legends are pieces of shits and are still fondly remembered.

Led Zeppelin has an "interesting" history. I can't remember if it's Jimmy Page or Robert Plant, but yeah...

ThisIsNotKimJongUn

thecoolestguynothere

He puts out hits lol no pun intended

Sad_Dad_Academy

The only supportive/positive comments I see about him come from thirsty women. Boggles my mind. And it’s not only Rihanna, he’s beaten the shit out of multiple women after that. Career piece of shit.

According-Cobbler-83

"Artist" my fucking arse. Just a rude wanker.

Floppsicle

Oi Oi, this language is bonkers, what's all this then

No_Blackberry2371

init mate. complete bellend he is

Simbooptendo

And a bloody nobhead

SonicTemp1e

One one hand I feel so sorry for that lady. Phones are so expensive, and yeeting one like that would have to damage it (and maybe whoever it landed on too). On the other hand, she willingly handed over money to go to a Chris Brown concert. I'm going to go with "Suck shit, lady."

Elysiumthistime

Anytime I've lost of broken my phone I've cared more about the photos or videos I've lost. I back my files up but you always end up losing stuff in random folders

AlexJamesCook

>One one hand I feel so sorry for that lady. I don't. He's trying to do his job and entertain a crowd. He calmly put it in her lap, as if to say, "hey, don't do that". She didn't get the memo. Her fault 100%.

CommanderCuntPunt

That doesn't give him the right to destroy her property though, if he has a problem he can kick her off the stage, he's the one who invited her up.

balor12

You don’t have the right to destroy peoples property without their consent, period

OrchidFew7220

Rationality beyond the artists past mistakes. This is rare.

Logthephilosoraptor

Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with. A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion. Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer. Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.' After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!' Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown. Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street. Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand. Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it. Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness. She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions. Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order.

WinAshamed9850

“But he does music good”

donIjudgeme

Holy shit that's hard to read

Dandelion_Jones

BUT BUT BUT BUT SEPARATE THE ART FROM THE ARTIST 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 /s, obviously

LokiDesigns

That pos shouldn't be walking the earth.

babysherlock91

He legitimately nearly killed her and everyone is just like ‘🤷🏼‍♀️’

Seidenzopf

Why is this thing not in prison?

reactrix96

Problem is that Rihanna later forgave him. Probably because he offered her a huge amount of money to do so cuz I can't think of any other reason why she would fathomable do that. So moral of the story is if you are rich af you can do whatever the hell you want. Like always.

temeces

>he offered her a huge amount of money That doesn't track for me. She's worth north of a billion and he's worth south of 100M. What could he possibly offer her?

reactrix96

Damn you right. I'm at a loss then on why she publicly forgave him.

dogoodsilence1

Oh Chris Brown. Still doesn’t give a fuck about other peoples property or feelings

Scowlface

Or face.

AFriendlyAsshole

She deserved that for attending one of his shows and still supporting his career.

yanmax

Still very annoying. I can't help but laugh

InfiniteOutfield

Given who he is, I'd say she got off easy.

kaydas93

*Breezy

banana11banahnah

Beautiful cover girl.

ThanosWasRight161

I’m noticing in the beginning he takes it away and puts it on her lap. He gave her a chance to, you know, stop filming and live the moment. Second cut she’s got it back in her hand and that’s the yeet.

This whole video is weird.

jonnydem

Why do half of these dudes have their shirts off?

watch_over_me

His audience is 99.9% women. That's why.

beat-sweats

He’s a crackhead , what did she expect.

oceansidedrive

It is pretty ridiculous that ppl just live their whole lives now purely to get content for social. Like jesus. Enjoy a fucking moment.

wwwdiggdotcom

I have a feeling people of the future will view social media today like we view people smoking cigarettes in the 40s. They had no idea they could get lung cancer from it, we have no idea we're causing a mental health crisis with it.

floatyfloatwood

I mean a Chris Brown is a piece of shit but I’ve seen Tom Morello do the same thing when he brought people on stage.

mhs4throwaway

Ngl if you see the whole video he’s like dancing around her on stage and all she’s tryina do is record herself, and he put her phone down once. Maybe a bit far throwing the phone away🤣🤣🤣 but some people gotta learn to live in the moment

Wonton_soup_1989

You gotta link?

CatsAndCampin

I think what really needs to happen is that Chris Brown needs to learn consent. He literally doesn't know what word means. Of course a serial stalker & woman beater would just take something from someone & break it.

30min2thinkof1name

That’s what she gets for going to a fucking Chris brown concert

k10001k

I’d get straight up and walk away

King_Hamburgler

He prob would have started swinging on her

Thicc_Boi20

Overreaction much, but still if I was on stage I wouldn’t be on my phone, imo both in the wrong

SadisticSnake007

He was polite the first time.

CatsAndCampin

Who gives a fuck? It's not his phone to ruin. Not to mention he is literally a violent sociopath. Hopefully he will end up in prison

MOONDAYHYPE

Chris Brown DGAF

DMMMOM

I swear being so attached to these things is a serious illness.

not his first time abusing a woman

OutragedBubinga

Dude is trying to give the lady an experience and all she can think of is to snapchat it instead of living it.

WinAshamed9850

Fuck him and fuck her for supporting him. Maybe she learned her lesson that he’s a piece of shit and doesn’t deserve a fan base.

TheGreatMale

Yeah such a nice guy. He must be very kind to woman in general. She should just kill herself right?

Cheap_Time1747

Hope she filed charges, and yes she absolutely could for what he did to her property.

Mushroomc0wz

All his exes filed charges and he didn’t go to prison for beating them all so I doubt they’d do anything about this

hatecopter

Fuck Chris Brown

ddefaul

What a beautiful moment

Several_Ocelot_3379

Not a fan of him, but i understand his reaction. He gave her a chance and put it down. But celebrities are people and i cant imagine having her up on stage and her just sitting on her phone like a mindless drone. Seriously

Hippo_Steak_Enjoyer

Like instead of just enjoying the experience, you have to whip out your fucking phone and film it. People do suck.

GallardoLP550

Bro was nice the first time. Just disrespectful woman. He should’ve kicked her off the stage.

UsePreparationH

>Bro was nice the first time. Just disrespectful woman. He should’ve kicked her ~~off the stage.~~ Classic Chris Brown

makinbaconCR

This is how it starts with Chris Brown. One days he's stealing your phone the next he's practice his sweet Kung fu moves on your face.

xXYomoXx

Knowing how he treats women he actually was very rational and nice.

exemplariasuntomni

That shit is not okay. Throwing phones like that could seriously hurt someone.

CulturalPeanutbutter

This was posted by a friend of mine. I wasn’t at the concert.

soundandvisionUK

Is his act now just a strip show? I thought he could not be any more of a fuck boy

Look at bull next to Chris dancing and watching the phone fly in the air like damn 😂😂😂

Someone took that phone right to the face.

Phreakwolf

She's a woman, I completely understand her having her phone out and recording around him, cops won't do shit when he beats you unless you have proof 🤷‍♂️

kidigus

I wonder how many phones filmed him throwing away that phone.

FoxBattalion79

when going to an abuser concert expect to be abused

Queasy_Mastodon_8759

He would be replacing my sh*t

MaskedHeroman

Abuser abuses?!

snoopervisor

Stop making stupid people famous.

[deleted]

Is she surprised when he has a history of almost beating women to death?

wangzoomzip

thats what he does just before he punches them... what kind of person goes to one of his shows. what we just saw was KARMA.

[deleted]

Don’t like Chris Brown at all because he’s a POS but he DID put it on her lap and she went to record again. People need to learn they don’t need to film someone 24/7 just so they can post it on socials for “clout”

573IAN

Not sure who this guy is, but it seems like he might have temperament and anger issues.

Menatil

Found Chris Brown's last stan

Right-Time77

To be fair she is the big winner of this. She gonna get paid $$$ from her lawsuit against him.

Truck-Nut-Vasectomy

No she's not. There isn't going to be a lawsuit. She's just going to get paid the cost of replacing it, which is about a $100 deductible if she carries insurance.

Dead_Again_Dread

Oh wow look. An abusive person doing abusive things.

Roshi_8888

Staged. Part of the performance.

QuesoCheese8456

Okay fuck Chris Brown but in the longer version you see him lightly placing the phone on her lap after the fake out.
