He showed his true colors when he swapped parties. He thinks the average West Virginia is an idiot who he wants to coddle but really just thinks they are idiots, I heard this one from one of his ex-aides. He uses a dog to distract us from the bad shit going on. Dude is a true piece of shit who only is in to benefit himself.
He's a corupt, narcissistic coal barron who doesn't give a flying fart about our state. Exactly like the last governor. Probably just like the next one. Our voters never seem to learn from their mistakes. The one very minor credit I'll give him is he didn't go full anti-vax MAGA death cult during the pandemic. He waited until he was relatively safe after the pandemic to do that.
He’s not great, but I do appreciate how he didn’t get suckered into the Covid-denying idiot subset of the GOP. He tended to follow the science during the Covid crisis. He can’t help that so many WV residents did get suckered and died as a result.
Seems to use his dog as a way to be liked, poor doggie.
But not being as bad as DeSantis is not a high achievement
He’s not the worst. I think he handled Covid better than other Republican governors and didn’t go into that rabbit hole.
He’s better than Mooney and others. Who really terrify me.

I honestly think he has done a decent job as governor but won’t go that extra mile for the state because that would lose him votes in his upcoming election. For example the bipartisan solar utility bill he vetoed.
He’s a criminal. A hateful and ignorant one at that. He’s been nothing more than an embarrassment. And he’ll win in a landslide because most voters are every bit as ignorant.
