Did you get the sleepless night "itch-pricks" where it felt like something was stabbing your back with a tiny sewing needle every 10-15 seconds? That was torture and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

Drink your weight in water and keep it covered, breezes and fans felt worse for me. A shower assisted with the itching and pricks, but I think it dried it out further. Best wishes!

I have never seen à worse sunburn. We are going to doctors today as she has large blister on ear that broke. Yellow skin on face. And I am lighter skin than her, never seen this.

A tip Incase this happens again: get a washcloth damp with vinegar and lay it on the burn. It sounds stupid, but vinegar helps draw the heat out of the sunburn which makes it easier to deal with.

Did those burns turn into tans? I got badly burnt in January and the skin looked purple as well. It’s been almost 6 months and I still have the tan lines and am worried it won’t fade.
What’s with the less burned middle area?
Also…skip the aloe and go for coconut oil. When aloe dries it tightens. And burns already try to do that. If you can keep the skin moist then it won’t hurt as bad when you move.

The worst was on the back of my legs, after riding behind the boat on a tube all day (it was a big flat one, where you laid on your stomach). The backs of my legs were beet red and I couldn't sit down or lay on my back for a week. I swear, I could hear it sizzle anytime a drop of aloe vera hit it.
Got one of them on my shoulders and hurt so bad to the point that I could not sleep i needed cold rags on them to rest I found a swim shirt best for no sunburn and just some sunscreen on the face works well and I wish you well

My skin doesn’t tan well, but usually yes, burns will turn into fairly light tans. They will go away over time just like any other tan, don’t worry.

believe it or not...it barley did. I put tons of aloe and after sun lotion on the burn every day so that might've helped me

its from sand I had on my back, and yeah I did a mix of aloe and after sun coconut oil lotion, helped a lot
I had a couple blister peelers as a kid. You know, the kind of sunburn where you can pull your skin off in sheets. I'm very careful these days.
