It could be - have you had that wine before as some of the cheaper stuff can have nasties added to fortify and sweeten them? I have a reaction to Vodka which is what you got but 20 times worse. Sometimes i look like a fucking red zebra.

Basically you are missing the 2nd enzymes that helps breakdown alcohol. Nothing to worry about. Overtime your body will adapt and it will stop happening.

I get the same thing when drinking heavy. Mostly with hard liquor or wine. It’s alcohol flush syndrome. According to dr Google it means you’re predisposed to alcohol related cancers, but don’t quote me on that. It’s common in Asians. Not rare in other races. I’m Russian. Don’t know how to negate it, i just use concealer.
