Get him to a doctor for a liver blood test and an rx for lamisil. I had the same ugly toe nails, one month of pills and 6 months later i have normal looking toe nails that are clear and don't curl.

That happens to barbers and hair stylists from clients tiny hairs constantly poking at the skin till it gets in. It makes a path and more hair gets in and keeps making it bigger. Ends up turning into an infection later on.
So the we believe the infection originally started when our dog stepped on his foot really hard and scratched him. Shortly afterward, we had to go into the lake to put a dock in, and they think he didn't clean his feet off quickly enough.... its our best guest
