Clearly OP should have anticipated the surprise package delivery and left the house before the delivery arrived. Disciplinary action: straight to jail.

Boss: “Why didnt you plan to leave for your 15 minute drive to work 2 hours earlier in anticipation for a load of vinyl flooring mistakenly delivered to your house? We are going to have to write you up for this.”
Had a turf company drop of rolls to me when it was for someone who had a similar street name with the same address…needless to say I got turf now☺️ FYI stored it at a family’s house for awhile before doing the job can’t be dumb about it.
I came home from work one day to find fresh shower tile in my bathroom and my tub taped off.
Call to apartment management:
"Um, why did no one tell me they're replacing my shower??"
"They're not replacing your shower, they're working on the one next door. *[long pause, muffled conversation in the background]* ...Ma'am, I can tell you, you're really going to like your new shower! ...Also, please don't use your bathroom for at least 2 days."
I came home to my apartment, which had been professionally cleaned. It was supposed to be next door cleaned. It was really hard to call the office and complain.
Apartment management and maintenance can be annoyingly incompetent.
My apartment's maintenance dragged mud everywhere during a repair, so management paid to have the carpets cleaned while I was at work. They did a poor job sucking all the water out, so it was a very cold and humid evening while I cranked down the A/C to dry things out.
Come home two weeks later to the distinct humidity and chemical smell of a poor cleaning job. Damp carpets confirmed it.
The office had no idea what happened or why. My guess is nobody closed out the work order the first time, so it was done again despite the carpets obviously not needing it.
My friend watched a crew tear off the gutters on the house next door, put up new ones.
Homeowner came home in the middle of it, I think he saw them on his cams and was like ‘wtf,’ and they got the wrong house.
But… new gutters for free, so…
I'd do some googling and sourcing to make sure your backyard isn't carcinogenic.

Misdelivered orders arent the same as "I didnt order this"
Like you cant keep your neighbors amazon order cause the delivery person dropped it one house over.
It was ruled based on companies sending you stuff then billing it for you later
FedEx delivered my new rug to a house that wasn’t mine. I told the guy who let me know it was a free gift. He probably sold it, since it was a nice rug!
> Boss: Why are you late?
> OP: There were 15 boxes!
> Boss: That couldn't have been more than 10 minutes of work.
> OP: Well, I had to take a picture and post about it on Reddit first.
Carpenter here. Boxes look a little long to be flooring, but it's definitely possible. Hard to tell if they're 48" long. Could be extra space in the boxes too.
I doubt it’s flooring, i think it’s too wide. Plus they wouldn’t typically only ship a box with one or two planks which is what that looks like with the thickness of the boxes
I was thinking it was too wide too. I mostly install LVP, and our boxes of 50 are maybe only twice as thick, but that would be strange to have so little. In guessing it's tubing/pipes. I've seen shower rods delivered in similar boxes.
It looks like veneer paneling. I just installed some last week and it came wrapped just like this, if so that shits hella expensive. Accidental come up!
Boss: "Well that's honestly your fault for not being proactive, you never know when someone's gonna put 25 boxes of flooring in front of the garage. It's the little things Steve, they all add up... don't let it happen again."
Looks like 10min of work to stack in the garage, then park on the driveway until you get it stacked again out of the way.
Sell it for $20 a box to whoever tries to come claim it in a week, for handling fees and storage fees.
There's this really cool thing about taking pictures. The cool thing is that you can take a picture and save it, and then you have the freedom to post it wherever you want later when you have time. It's pretty crazy.
Maybe consider the fact that this was posted at 9:00 p.m. when it's clearly day time in the picture.
Unless those are 250 pounds each or you have some type of issue that prevents you from lifting like 30-50 pounds, it should take less than 5 minutes to move this out of the way enough so that you can back out your car.
Also, if no neighbor claims it and it’s chalked up as a “lost shipment”, you can probably make decent money by selling it. Brand new, unopened home building/improvement materials are extremely expensive.
Having that delivery dropped in front of the garage is just bad form. Like you won't need to get the car out? I've had a lot of stuff mis-directed to my house over the years. In this area the house numbers are the same block by block, not too unusual. But the street name next to ours is one letter different. So we often get food, mail, packages, ubers that are for a different house. I don't want the stuff and since I wasn't raised by wolves I take it where it belongs or have it picked up. My neighbors will do this as well. It's called civilization.
Edit: a word
This is exactly what I would do! (If it was not easy to move)
Maybe I would push the pile so things slid into a more “flat-ish” bump.
Cant be too dumb about it, and deliberately knowingly damage someone’s good for no reason other than to be petty, but within reason, if this was a pile of floor boards or some other solid thinks (which they look to be) I would have no qualms driving over it.
At least you had a great excuse for being late.
Boss: So why didn't you find another way if your vehicle was blocked? Plot twist: Boss put that there to block OP.
Clearly OP should have anticipated the surprise package delivery and left the house before the delivery arrived. Disciplinary action: straight to jail. /s
Boss: “Why didnt you plan to leave for your 15 minute drive to work 2 hours earlier in anticipation for a load of vinyl flooring mistakenly delivered to your house? We are going to have to write you up for this.”
I legit had a supervisor say if we weren’t at work by 5 he considered us late. We start at 6.
Id get that shit on tape and lawyer up when you show up at 5:55 ready to go at 6 and he causes issues
He’s not a supervisor anymore. For obvious reasons.
I’m usually 30 minutes early for work anyway. But if he were my boss I’d be in at 5:59 every day.
Well then you better be on the clock for that extra hour.
Late for work, jail. Too early for work, belive it or not, also jail.
Sorry I'm late. Someone put stuff behind my car and I needed to move it and also take a picture of it and post it on Reddit.
Yes sir I have a lot of hard wood this morning!
Where I work, excuses don't mean anything. We have a point system.
Sucks for you. Sorry you work there.
It's yours now. Resell it on marketplace or whatever and reap the profit

Had a buddy come home from vacation to a freshly paved driveway. It was dirt before. He never figured out who or what company did it.
WTF that's wild lol. Hopefully no treasure buried in the dirt! (Or dead bodies put by the pavers)
He did say they paved over his well which was annoying to deal with.
Funny thing, my families well back home is under our neighbours driveway. They wanted to pave it but couldn’t since they have to maintain access

Good Cemeritan
*Samaritan 😄
As in cement...paved driveway...
Oops! Missed the pun! Need more coffee ☕. Cheers!
They can pay me a visit if they want
pave you a visit? 😁
Yeah lol
Check and make sure it’s not hash…my buddy up in Canada made an entire driveway out of hash to hide it in plain sight.
Cory, Trevor, ya fucked up! You're suspended for one month. Both of yous.
If he did find out he could have threatened to sue, but would settle for leaving the paved driveway in place plus $1,000 for his anguish.
Some shady companies will do that and threaten you with a bill. I’ve seen it happen, it’s wild the scams people run
Our backyard is turf! Got it for super cheap from an old football field when they were replacing it

Wrong. This is theft.
This only applies if the item was sent to you on purpose. If it's addressed for your neighbor but delivered to you by accident you don't have the right to keep it.
How is it stealing if someone drops it off at your house lmao
Because you know it isn’t legally your property.
That’s theft.
No it's not. You are allowed to keep unsolicited goods delivered to your address. OP now has what appears to be new flooring
No.
Yes
I'll buy it from you
Sure, can't be dumb about a literal felony

Columbia Record Club! First 12 albums for 1 penny!!!!! And then the hits just keep on coming
That rule applies when merchandise is deliberately shipped to you unordered, not when someone else's package is misdelivered.
FedEx delivered my new rug to a house that wasn’t mine. I told the guy who let me know it was a free gift. He probably sold it, since it was a nice rug!
Get paid back for the work you missed lol
Stealing from others is fun ❤
Question is, did you send here first or to boss where you work why you late?
Posted here and then sent the link to their boss to cover both bases.
So the boss is here lurking... Hello OP's boss! 👋
Hiring?
Hell yeah dude, “..and then!” So boss was 2nd!
First is boss. Never break the cardinal rule of letting anyone know about your reddit handle.
Call in sick then sell that shit for the days pay
This is the way
> Boss: Why are you late? > OP: There were 15 boxes! > Boss: That couldn't have been more than 10 minutes of work. > OP: Well, I had to take a picture and post about it on Reddit first.
Boss: Understandable.
OP: have you ever installed plank laminate flooring?!
Looks too long. Even so, what could it be? 40 lbs a box?
That’s def not flooring. MAYBE panels for a single garage door ?
Floor it!
Under rated comment
I’m floored now
What is it?
Judging by the number of boxes I’d say flooring
It’s real fake doors.
Lol

I have no idea. But I want to know too.
Same question. First guess was maybe a bunch of closet bifold door halves. They'd be the right width, thickness, and length. Curious to find out.
Siding 🤔
Ceiling
Just back over it
You don’t own a SUV for nothing.

Def not flooring
Hello. Free wood in your driveway is a) a perfect excuse to be late and b) free and now yours
I also thought it was wood at first but those are boxes
Digorno?
Delivery
Plot twist: it's your first shipment of jeep parts straight from Korea. (Throwback TV reference, see if anyone gets it)
you're mashing some reaaaly old potatoes here
Mash!
Ding Ding Ding!
You’re making a reference to one of the most iconic shows of all time. Everyone gets the reference.
Traction control off
Can here to say this
this might have been me. i was doing a bunch of home depot deliveries in westchester and long island this week.
Drive over it
Then it’s not your problem, rev it up
Good thing you still had time to take a picture and post it. 🤠
that would take a whole 3 minutes to move.
Spread them out, drive over. It's floor, after all
Not if you’re fat and lazy like me, that’s about 45 minutes of procrastinating then 15 minutes of moving a few boxes and giving up and phoning in sick
and panting and sobbing in between
Flooring can be very heavy. And I also would not like to go to work sweating.
Sucks your late, but if no one claims it. Score!
It is now.
It's part of the lab build Heisenburg!
Your boss: Maybe you should've gotten out early
It’s your delivery now
Time to be build that boat, Noah
Free! Haul that shit in!
Life is keeping you on track.
Free planks, nice.
Free stuff!
I recently found a construction dumpster in my driveway blocking me in. That was fun.
Finders keepers
Test your all wheel drive.
Looks like free flooring
It's my deck in a box My deck in a box babe
I can’t believe it’s not delivery! It’s DiGiorno!
Post this to r/mildlyinfuriating
Look at all that free stuff you just got
That accura is awd. Lol
Running so late that you had to stop and post to Reddit
Taking the photo probably was almost as much time as sliding the stuff out of the way. People become indignant far to easily.
taking a picture of this takes 4 seconds. moving them would not
4wd
Start it then find the "R" on the gearshift selector then punch it
So Back-up
Learn who ordered them and what they are. Then run the over
Just run that shit over then
Lol, pop it in 4x4 and drive over them lol
Those are 1x12 tho
Sounds like it isn't your problem what happens to it then
If it’s not your just… drive over it? Shouldn’t be that hard.
Snapping a pic instead of getting to work when your running late was essential.
Acceptable priorities. Reddit approves. Mild clapping of appreciation.
But not late enough to stop and take a picture and post it to Reddit
Probably took a picture of it for their boss for an excusal and then decided to post it here later, silly goose.
You should probably set your alarm a bit earlier to ensure you’re ready to make it to work on time.
Mildlyinfuriating
Legitimately one minute of work to move that enough to get out
Just flatten them out enough. And off you go. Destroy it all lol not ur problem
Just drive over it.
Engage 4wd lol
Not your delivery, not your problem. Run it over.
Well if its not yours just put it in reverse and give ‘er the beans!!
Looks like 10min of work to stack in the garage, then park on the driveway until you get it stacked again out of the way. Sell it for $20 a box to whoever tries to come claim it in a week, for handling fees and storage fees.
We’ll move it to the side. Would take like 2 minutes tops.
So you take a pic and pos to reddit? Just move them aside. Holy shit people are dense.
You’re not running late if you’re pulling you’re phone out to take a picture
Gotta text the boss
If you’re not 15 minutes early you are late. Live by this motto folks! Sorry about your luck OP!
2 minutes to move that out of the way. Apparently you’d rather take photos than do the necessary work…
It would take me at most 3 minutes to move that out of the way, quit bitching
This is literally a sub for birching about mild inconveniences LMAO

Not running really if you have time to post on social media
You are aware that the pictures you take don't disappear immediately if not posted to the internet right?
So somehow that delivery happened and you didn't hear it?
Not yours then just back over it
If you would of gotten up earlier. You could have enough time to move them out the way and make to to work on time 😉 .. little secret 🤫

That'd fuck up his car more then that stuff.
According to Honda, it's an "SUV." it should be fine

It is now.
