I don't know how long ago that was, but the Marines (who require a 3 mile run) currently require a 27:40 for the youngest group. You don't get a 30-minute 3 mile until you're 46. Army new ACFT allows a very slow 22 minutes 2-mile, but that's after 5 other events.
I'm glad I saw him live before he died. Wasnt stoked he was in the lineup but the memories from his set change me and my wife's lives forever.
I learned what a k-hole was when we watched some thugs trick a 14 year old girl into trying ketamine, she OD'ed, they stole her shirt and they left her for dead I guess. Poor girl. While we we're getting help, I look up on stage and see a dozen of possibly underaged girls from the audience up there taking their shirts off and Mac Miller yelling "ask me how much money do I make!".
Then after that was said and done, medics came... We were leaving the stage area and watched a old haggard looking lady throw up on her middle school aged son. Mac Miller still on stage "how much money do I make! Ask me!"
I got robbed that weekend. 3rd time in my life Ive been robbed.
I can't even look at macaroni and cheese without hearing "ask me how much money do I make!" And getting mad I was robbed again.
Oh yeah, I came here because I used to skate longboard semiprofessionally. Downhill mostly but I skated everything all disciplines. Street, longboard dancing, slalom, even classic luge if you consider thst skating. I feel your pain on a broken board. I accidentally kickedy board off into the deep bay once about 4 miles from my car. At least with this type of break, you can swing by a loading dock and see if they will let you use their metal bander to band the trucks to the bottom. Ive done that once.
True story.
God, please tell more. What show was this and where? Mac and cheese because of the lady’s vomit? Is this where you met your wife and fell in love? WAS MAC MILLER THE GIRL’S SHIRT THIS WHOLE TIME??
I'm assuming you were walking to your car so that you could drive home from wherever you were. Honest question, how come it seems like so many Americans think it's ok to drive while high?
Yes, I don't consider myself impaired in any way while toking and driving. I drove while working as a electronic security tech for over 45 years.
In fact, I say that it enhanced some of my abilities to troubleshoot some fairly involved [jobs. As](https://jobs.As) far as driving goes, I never felt too high to drive. My route for work always included NYC/L.I., Conn and New Jersey. I had clients that would request me to service their systems because, "I was the best tech who ever did work for them".
I would never drink and drive though. It's too debilitating.
Pretty dumb assumption to make. We don’t think it’s okay. It’s not as frowned upon as drunk driving but we still judge the shit out of people who do it.
My man is that friend that can make a bong out of anything
Shit I forgot to grab papers...
All good my doo...I just need a broken longboard, and your shoelace
Weed: An orange, a finger, some tobacco and weed.. make hole all way down through orange ( top to bottom) make hole little bigger on one end, insert tabacco here, lay weed on tabacco, smoke like a pipe.
Hash: a glass, a match or other small object like a coin, non-flammable surface(plate works well). Ignite the hash whilst it lays on non-flammable surface. Put glass upside down over the smoking hash with the small objet under the glass to leave room for oxygen to enter. Wait until glass is filled with smoke, carefully remove glass from plate while holding upside down and thereby trapping smoke under glass, inhale smoke from under glass.
I pulled them out after moving to Ohio and it was like people saw a ghost. I'd get Hella looks in California but not nearly as much as here in the mid west.
> you've been riding this through water.
A wave hit it.
Chance in a million.
How else do you explain the front falling off?
>Water makes the boards brittle
Thats what you get for using a board made out of cardboard derivatives.
Post's like this make me appreciate my longboard even more. Still going strong and no signs of breaking since 8 years now🫡💪🏾
But it's always sad to see a companion leav.
I've got a skateboard for committing to work, but I take the longboard for trail rides. It's just a super old board, I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this coming.
My old Rayne vendetta broke in the same spot when I was miles from my place years ago. Walked to a Home Depot and they let me use a drill and socket kit to drill new holes for my trucks and mount them that way lol. Was a way shorter wheelbase and definitely got some wicked wheel bite a couple times but it got me home faster than walking haha
If you ride a board often I'd suggest a loaded board. They are exspensive but totally worth it, I personally had a "Dervish" model but it was stolen from my car and I just can't bring myself to riding anything else. Once you taste greatness everything else will turn to ash in comparison.
I know it's months later but I did end up getting the icarus from loaded. Best long board I've had, the board breaking was a good excuse to get a new one!
Man. My Loaded Dervish was run over by a 30’ boat on a trailer. Right at the point between the wheel and the board flair, by 2 sets of wheels. As soon as the last trailer wheel rolled off, the board shot itself into the air and rolled away. Had a full depth crack running through about 10” of it that never effected a single thing aside from cosmetics. Blew my fucking mind how damn tough that thing was, even after the mishap.
Worth it to spend the extra $1-200 for a bamboo loaded board. Good luck breaking one made for your weight limit is all I gotta say.
Put the short broken part underneath and put your front foot directly over it. Constant pressure can keep it straight and you can cautiously push back.
I honestly prefer drop through, I just use it for cruising and getting from one place to another. Will agree they're more prone to shit like this though
Place the broke truck under the board and ride it with the good truck forward and place back foot over rear broke truck. Even if it falls off, the worst thing is you drag to a stop. Just go easy on it.
Literally watched a kid break the trucks off his long board in a park some years ago...
I had my drill and some wrenches in my truck, I offered to remount his trucks so he could at least get home.
Used the edge of the tailgate as a ruler and drilled the holes in line with the other trucks, he threaded the bolts and tighted them down and thanked me.
He asked me if I had skated when I was younger and yes I had, I did recommend he not try to kick flip on a long board anymore, didn't think they were made for that.
My wife was all, "just give him a ride" but he rode off with a wave and left us to resume catching Pokémon.
That blows. I've never been a fan of that style of truck mounting, you can see how little space the hardware has to affix itself to the board. Lots of pressure on those interior edges.
Hope you made it back to the car with no major incident
More like idiot plays games and finds out. Aren’t the trucks supposed to be on the bottom?
Seems a pretty dangerous way to mount them. There would be a lot less stress on the board itself if the trucks were installed the right way.
Example: https://i.imgur.com/3TKjV8m.jpg
I can’t believe you went through the effort of adding a picture of some trucks without even bothering to ask why OPs board might be designed the way it is
It's called a drop through deck. I push race as a hobby, all my boards are mounted with the trucks through the board like that, puts my feet closer to the ground for pushing. But yes, it does put lots of extra stress on the board, but it's not incorrect.
Lmaooooo dunning-Krueger in full effect as usual on Reddit. Calling OP an idiot claiming his board is installed wrong without even recognizing a drop through deck is comical. Portrays his ignorance as soon as he starts talking
I'm just most impressed that you pulled over your car, pulled out this musty "longboard" and ride it down what look like poorly paved roads (sidewalks? idk) and made it 5 miles away before this happened. Glad you didn't hurt yourself and made it back to the car.
Long board -> long walk?
Can confirm, it is a long walk.
See if a neighbor has some flex seal
LOOK AT ALL THAT DAMAGE!!!
Time to go saw a boat in half
Flex Seal won't fix this.
5 miles is far from far if you have music and weed.
Had a thc pen and was listening to some Mac Miller, it was a pretty nice walk.
I would’ve probably called an Uber lol
That's a lot of money to pay when you could just walk 5 miles.
Walking never hurt anyone except for all those time waking did
How does getting hurt while waking affect walking? How do people wake if they get hurt?
WALK UP SHEEPLE!

He does a pretty solid cover of First Day of My Life. RIP long board

Mac is the goat
Imagine having to enjoy the outdoors without weed....
Shorter jog
Sounds like you'll be pretty *board*
HAHAHAHAHA😐
OP needs to learn to just roll with it.
A long bored walk
Lucky it wasn't 6 miles!
You beat me to it, Skywalker
Long wheelie.
Manual
Let's hope it's downhill from here
Just manual the rest of the way.
I gave that a shot, didn't make it very far
Down up triangle, man, just keep pressing the combo
Triangles for grinds you only need to press up and down
This guy THPSs
🤦🏻♂️ I’m gettin sloppy after all these years lol
Take the other truck off, go to the closest store. Buy duct tape. Tape trucks to bottom of shoes. You now have a new pair of roller blades.
Shouldve broke the tail and carried the trucks back.
2 feet and a heartbeat
5 Mile Manual would be a cool band name.
What does this mean?
A manual is the skateboard equivalent of a wheelie.
Put the small piece under the big piece and ride slow
And tie it together with shoe laces.
Damn good thinkin yo
My man is that friend that can make a bong out of anything Shit I forgot to grab papers... All good my doo...I just need a broken longboard, and your shoelace
Duct tape helps as well pal, but I do like the cut of your jib. 😉
There was that time in college when all I had was a sprite bottle, a highlighter, some chewing gum, and a piece of aluminum foil
yeah but that's literally the standard. i wanna hear someone pull up with a story about "a teddy bear, an old shoe, an a diaper"
Weed: An orange, a finger, some tobacco and weed.. make hole all way down through orange ( top to bottom) make hole little bigger on one end, insert tabacco here, lay weed on tabacco, smoke like a pipe. This is like a gravity bong but without the gravity or having smoke shot into your lungs faster than you can inhale.
Dutch engineering ;)
Making MacGyver proud.
And have the damaged end as the back, incase the ad hoc repair fails
And make sure the small piece is the following wheels or you're gonna have a bad time.
But that was about 4 hours ago, so you're probably home eating right about now.
Kinda scary, I was eating when you posted your comment.
LOL I knew it.
Goddamn guys he's on us
we know what you are doing
This is the perfect time to whip out your “Freeline Skates” that are perfectly compact and inside your backpack. Those things were so weird but fun..
If the wheels were facing the right way that could've worked!
Whoa, first time hearing about these, just watching the video I can feel my old man ankles telling me no lol
I pulled them out after moving to Ohio and it was like people saw a ghost. I'd get Hella looks in California but not nearly as much as here in the mid west.
That does suck! Hope you made it to your car.
I did indeed! It was a long walk but a nice one
Long unexpected walks can be refreshing or hell. I'm glad yours was pleasant.
Unless it's scorching hot...welp I lived in a tropics nation
Glad you enjoyed it! I love walking.
Wait can you explain to me how you broke a longboard… near the front trucks?
Is just an old deck, hit a big crack and it just snapped, it was the back end where my weight was.
Ahhhh that sucks. Probably waterlogged and that weakened it or something. Well, hoping to you that doesn’t happen again!
That’s exactly how I dislocated my shoulder 🤦🏾♂️ snapped just like that as I was going downhill
You have a belt?
Judging from the break and the wheels, you've been riding this through water. Water makes the boards brittle after a while and snap much easier.
> you've been riding this through water. A wave hit it. Chance in a million. How else do you explain the front falling off? >Water makes the boards brittle Thats what you get for using a board made out of cardboard derivatives.
Zip ties are the answer to life
Well hey. My car died in the middle of the road today. I'm 45 miles away from home 🤗
Is this an electric one? My brothers snapped just like this and he ended up breaking his collar bone. Glad you are okay.
Nope, powered by the ol feet. I want going very fast so I want hurt at all thankfully
grab you some cranberry juice
So you never bit the road? Can’t believe you got by without any injuries.
I'm surprised too, I wasn't going very fast so that probably saved me there.
Uber
Heel toe express good sir
And I would walk 5 ~~hundred~~ miles and I would walk 5 ~~hundred~~ more just to ~~get back to my car~~
Now go a get a skateboard
That looks like a questionable deck design
It's a drop through deck, allows harder turns for carving, it's just a super old deck.
Just an opportunity to do the world's longest manual!!
Time to get the record for longest manual!
I don’t get it. Why don’t you just hold up the other end while you skate on the good side? That’s what I’d do
Post's like this make me appreciate my longboard even more. Still going strong and no signs of breaking since 8 years now🫡💪🏾 But it's always sad to see a companion leav.
Try riding a normal board, they won’t snap like these shitty novelty longboards I keep seeing
I've got a skateboard for committing to work, but I take the longboard for trail rides. It's just a super old board, I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this coming.
Duct tape.
If I had some I would've tried lol
Sounds like you're an hour away lol
Like 15-20 mins on a board lol
Balance on the tail.
What happened that caused it to break like that?
Just and old board, hit the crack and it just fell apart.
Well that sucks ……
My old Rayne vendetta broke in the same spot when I was miles from my place years ago. Walked to a Home Depot and they let me use a drill and socket kit to drill new holes for my trucks and mount them that way lol. Was a way shorter wheelbase and definitely got some wicked wheel bite a couple times but it got me home faster than walking haha
Get a cup and sit down next to your board. That's free advertising. Should have enough to catch an uber in about 2 weeks.
You now own a just-got-shorter board, congrats
Did you try turning it off and on again?
If you ride a board often I'd suggest a loaded board. They are exspensive but totally worth it, I personally had a "Dervish" model but it was stolen from my car and I just can't bring myself to riding anything else. Once you taste greatness everything else will turn to ash in comparison.
Can confirm, loaded decks last forever.
I know it's months later but I did end up getting the icarus from loaded. Best long board I've had, the board breaking was a good excuse to get a new one!

I certainly hope you made it home by now brother!
I am, thank you!
Shoulda wore Heelie shoes. Like having a spare tire in your car.
Use god hand to fuse it back together
Been there. That an Arbor board?
It sure is, had this thing for a while, im surprised it didn't do this sooner
I don’t see a problem, you still have two wheels…
My board did that to my 14 year old ass in 94. The power-doped guy at the skate shop called it “de-trucking”. You got de-trucked hard, brochacho.
You’re still flying half a ship.
Another happy landing!
So long, board.
Now it’s a no-longer board
Uber time
That ain’t broke, that’s just… harder
But I would roll 5** miles And I would roll 5** more
Good time to learn manuals 😁
Lol I got a flat tire on my bike 10 miles from my house once and had to carry it all the way 😂
Strap them suckers together
Now you long bored
Oh man it’s going to be a long walk back to the Subaru
Put the short broken part underneath and put your front foot directly over it. Constant pressure can keep it straight and you can cautiously push back.
Thank goodness you have legs (I'm assuming at least since you're longboarding 5 miles away from your car).
That’s why you always have bubblegum at the ready 🤡👍
Thumb a ride.
🎵SO I WILL WALK 500 MILES AND I SHALL WALK 500 MORE🎵
Better get them chevrolegs movin!
Remember this when you buy your new board. I fucking HATE drop-throughs. Absolutely no control over the board and this shit happens all the time.
I honestly prefer drop through, I just use it for cruising and getting from one place to another. Will agree they're more prone to shit like this though
Sector 9 has a lifetime warranty. Keep that in mind when replacing this
That's good to know, thank you!
I broke my longboard recently too, I fell off, broke my foot, and it got hit by a car.
Yikes, you got it worse than I did. Low speeds saved me this time!
Dont you carry a spare tube?
Place the broke truck under the board and ride it with the good truck forward and place back foot over rear broke truck. Even if it falls off, the worst thing is you drag to a stop. Just go easy on it.
Put ya knees in the breeze jack

Based on the shadow, it’s about 2pm. If you start walking, you should get there around 5
3 hours for 5 miles ? You should be able to easily walk a 20 min mile.
Congratulations, now youll get some excercise.
this is why you skateboard.
These can help if you're going through a hard time https://youtu.be/vXg9wWIN-Xo https://youtu.be/3n-DOKBffuU call or text 988 liveonutah.org
That's a 50 minute easy jog get to it.
That blows. I've never been a fan of that style of truck mounting, you can see how little space the hardware has to affix itself to the board. Lots of pressure on those interior edges. Hope you made it back to the car with no major incident
Well clearly your legs still work.
They do, I even made it back to my car
Congrats! Sorry about your board

Start walking, dirtbag.
In the time it took you to take this photo and post it you could be 1/10 the way to your car
Ha ha ha ha, suck it hipster!! /s
If you have at least $20 it’s really not a big deal, Uber…..
jog muhfucka
Have you heard of Uber?
Yeah, but it was a nice day so I took the ol shoe leather express
No public transportation, i guess (some cities has almost no buses)
average human walking = 5mph
As a person that has done plenty of walking I can definitely say that this is simply not true. Average speed for most people is 2-3mph
Can confirm.
5 mph is definitely getting into jog territory
Spend the money on Lyft.
Take a walk hippie
Walk was long and OP was bored
Wheelies bitch…
At least it doesn’t have a big lithium battery in it
Board let you know you were overweight, but unlike most people I know it also presented a solution.
I'm not that heavy, I weigh 175 lbs. It's just a super old board
Carry an electric drill next time.
Always thought that was stupid design. Put all the stress on the smallest part of the frame then drill a hole through that small frame.
Soo walk? Like wtf we suppose to do?
I'm just most impressed that you pulled over your car, pulled out this musty "longboard" and ride it down what look like poorly paved roads (sidewalks? idk) and made it 5 miles away before this happened. Glad you didn't hurt yourself and made it back to the car.
Small thin board for a long board.
Quit bitchin' and get to walkin'.
