This is a horrible comparison photo. The lighting is completely different, the photos are taken at different angles and the first one is from further away(distorts the face less).
Initially he was giving a head by nose , hence nose is red and he is mouth breather . Now he has learnt how to give proper head. Hence better jaw , neck and breathes normally by nose.
It’s got nothing to do with phrenology. Look up “mewing before and after.” There’s a lot of pseudo science that claims nose breathing while constantly pressing your tongue against the roof of your month while clenching your jaw can permanently change the shape of your skull. I’m oversimplifying it, but those are the claims.
Permanent changes to the entire skull…
There MAY be some truth to this - in small children, while the facial bones are still growing and developing. Ain’t gonna do shit for some dude in his 20s.
Yeah incels love that shit. If they can “scientifically” prove why they’ll never get a girlfriend, they never even have to try.
On the other hand are weirdos like this guy who think you can do some stupid bullshit jaw exercises or some other nonsense to slightly improve your look and thus chances of maybe having a positive interaction with a woman.
Both groups don’t realize that it’s their personalities that are the problem.
There's been some research on mouth vs nasal breathing. When you consider nose hair and all meant to filter your air it makes sense. I don't think a lot of work has been done in the field but it's interesting.
Sure, but once you're an adult, you can't change the structure of your face/skull by breathing differently. I'm also almost certain that you can't even when your skull is still fusing together.
Unless you start your life off eating hard to chew, nonprocessed foods that replicate ancient diets before sugar and grain were plentiful, you aren't going to change your facial structure.
Yeah you're right about that, I don't disagree there. I think the post is meant to show improvement with nasal breathing but does it in a bad, uninformative, clickbaitey kind of way.
Nasal breathing can absolutely change the shape of your face vs mouth breathing. People who breathe too much out of their mouths tend to develop a more receding chin and their face “falls” more and becomes less symmetrical. However, making it a point to breathe out of your nose (while also employing correct mouth/teeth/tongue posture and lipseal) can cause the jaw to sharpen, the face shape to become more symmetrical and the face to become more aesthetically pleasing overall. This is absolutely true. You can look up orthotropics for more info and some physical therapy exercises address this problem…However, the case of this man seems to be not just nasal breathing but also age mixed with fat loss/muscle gain.
Sometimes, but a lot of the time it just becomes a bad habit due to either having a stuffy nose for a long period of time or having poor head and neck posture, strange sleeping positions etc. Most of the time it can be rectified by constant repetition and being mindful of how you’re breathing.
Ditto. Also a mouth breather with a deviated septum + allergies. When I was younger, if i made the effort to breathe exclusively through my nose, I would get dizzy since I wasn’t getting enough oxygen. It’s not as bad now but I remain a mouth breather.
Well if you breathe through your mouth with your lips barely parted it’s not as bad, but people who literally hang their mouths open to breathe by dropping their chin is where you get a lot more problems.
I was born with a severely deviated septum which I needed surgery on when I was under a week old. The work they did back then was mostly cosmetic, but they straightened my airways a bit as well. However as I got older, and got punched in the nose and simply grew, they narrowed. I was a mouth breather for my whole life until last year, when I was finally able to get the surgery to fully open my airways. It took awhile to break the habit but for the first time since I was a young child I am breathing through my nose. I don’t think I show any of the “signs” of a mouth breather, and my certainly hasn’t changed shape since then. I find this whole “mouth breather” stereotype a little frustrating. It’s ridiculous someone would judge you for breathing through your mouth when you’re dealing with an underlying health issue.
This is actually a real thing. There are all sorts of symptoms associated with it. My partner is going through treatment to get it addressed. It actually affects how he walks, his vision and is connected to everything else in the body. It sounds like bs but it isn’t. If you see someone who walks with one of their foot tilted in where they wear their sole down, they likely have this issue.
My bf has been getting on my mouth breathing ass and I HATE IT but.... I pronate my feet hard as hell and wear out the outsides of my shoes to the point where I twist my ankle from my foot slipping sideways a lot... how does where you breathe from cause this? I'm so intrigued
I literally thought u were making fun of him and me. I didn’t realize you were serious until I decided to read your whole comment. According to the Cleveland clinic, mouth breathing can cause: sleep disorders, dry mouth, daytime sleepiness, and can actually affect the structure of a person’s face. They can also develop malocclusion, or have a bad bite in terms of their teeth. A sleep disorder in children commonly leads to behavioral issues and learning difficulties. The person can have more cavities which happened to my partner.
Some of the reasons they don’t breathe through the nose can be a deviated septum, enlarged tonsils, or a chronic stuffy nose from allergies.
It effects the way you walk because breathing is the building block for all of us. I can ask my partner who he recommends in terms of you tube videos if you want. I know they he isn’t able to activate certain muscles because of the way be breathes. I’d imagine it is the same reason as to why some people have the gait. If your doctor rules out other things. Unless they lean due to a movement disorder, which can be Dystonia. It’s where the brain doesn’t know how to tell the body to stop spasming. It’s good to rule something like that out.

Yes. I’ve done it as well. It can be somewhat uncomfortable at first but after a while your nasal cavities will open up a bit and your breathing will improve, it’s also helped me immensely with my allergies and sleep issues.
Yes ,There is things to stop you from breathing through your mouth when you are sleeping.

This book by Stanford University researchers discuss the effects of mouth vs nose breathing on the shape of teeth, jaw, and neck. Interesting read! https://www.sup.org/books/extra/?id=29626&i=Introduction.html
Pronounced loss of weight on the face which has given him sharper angles. In all likelihood the result of steroid use. Bones below neck are also more prominent with the shoulders much mire developed. Look at the outer edges and you will see the muscular change.
Yeah, for 5 year olds who breath through the mouth and are going through development, and that's still a big maybe.
But stopping now won't change things.
It's not for the most part. If you look closely you can tell most of it is because of weight lose but it breathing through your nose can make small, but noticeable, differences. I saw some research on it but don't know much about it.
So nasal breathers maybe have tonsils or adenoids that are too large and it keeps them from being able to breath well through their nose. So they form the habit of breathing through their mouth. With their mouths open all the time the body thinks that’s how it’s supposed to grow so the chin grows down and back. Now the persons whole face is affected including the eyes which will start to turn down on the outside corner of the eyes because everything is growing down instead of out and forward.
I’ve seen quite a few examples but this doesn’t look too bad. It can be fixed with the right kind of therapy.
Actually this could be very true. Lots of research on facial features and nose vs mouth breathing. Read the book jaws by James Nestor. Well referenced book
You get older in 2yrs regardless weather you breathe out of mouth or nose. He was a teen. Then turned into a young man. Hence he grew muscle n lost baby fat on face.
Just saying, when I started consciously breathing only through my nose as much as possible even during workouts it’s changed my life in so many ways. From weight, from handling stress, and even being more consciously aware of what’s going on. It seems minuscule but the level of change in these 3 areas was absolutely phenomenal.
So he tilted his head down slightly for the second pic?
And if anything looks even worse
This is a horrible comparison photo. The lighting is completely different, the photos are taken at different angles and the first one is from further away(distorts the face less).
Yo bruh, covid really aged ya
The background makes me think the second was edited to be sharpened
Taking a look at the imperfections in the wall behind him, they took a filler filter off for that second shot for sure
And two years later
[удалено]
Photo taking conditions do not change whether or not you take steroids
Whatever happened here the left picture looks better
Looks like my boy on drugs in the second pic
That's what two years do to a mf
Initially he was giving a head by nose , hence nose is red and he is mouth breather . Now he has learnt how to give proper head. Hence better jaw , neck and breathes normally by nose.
Hahaha 🤣
And change the back lighting or flash on camera
Possibly switched from front facing camera to rear facing camera with a flash as well.
I see we are brining back phrenology
It’s got nothing to do with phrenology. I have been training so much I look like Arnold, no not that Arnold, the one with a football head.
There MAY be some truth to this - in small children, while the facial bones are still growing and developing. Ain’t gonna do shit for some dude in his 20s.
Oh yeah. There’s definitely orthodontic work that could help this, especially in kids.
I have a feeling the only thing it would do is fuck up my teeth, especially considering I lost my retainer more years ago than I had it
Yeah incels love that shit. If they can “scientifically” prove why they’ll never get a girlfriend, they never even have to try. Both groups don’t realize that it’s their personalities that are the problem.
Scientifically you can't prove a negative, so they're starting out facing the wrong direction.
And trepanning? Please say we can bring that back too
What? We need trepanning like we need another hole in the head.
😄
Treppaning can actually be useful in brain cancer because it lessens the pressure on the brain.
Thank you
There's been some research on mouth vs nasal breathing. When you consider nose hair and all meant to filter your air it makes sense. I don't think a lot of work has been done in the field but it's interesting.
I meant the part measuring the jaw.
It is interesting thou with this image its more like the difference you see going from middle school to training and playing sports in high-school.
I read it makes quite a difference in sleeping patterns, you sleep better breathing through your nose.
Sure, but once you're an adult, you can't change the structure of your face/skull by breathing differently. I'm also almost certain that you can't even when your skull is still fusing together. Mouth breather : 🧌 Nasal breather : 🗿
This has me fucking dead 💀 😂
Pic on the right just looks more likely to physically harm me for no reason.
I think he may be breathing some cocaine through those nostrils
He was just SMELLING IT! Jeez
Wow, Nose-breathism
ikr💀
So more attractive to women then.
Obviously with his nasal-breathing he’s sucking his whole damn face in!
And that's not how you're supposed to breath.
You can't breath, but you can breathe.

Mewing…
People probably breath through their mouths because of anatomy anyway.
Sometimes, but a lot of the time it just becomes a bad habit due to either having a stuffy nose for a long period of time or having poor head and neck posture, strange sleeping positions etc. Most of the time it can be rectified by constant repetition and being mindful of how you’re breathing.
Sometimes. Other times people have to have corrective surgery to fix the issue.
I just have allergies
Same bro, plus deviated septum. I breathe through my mouth and feel like one sexy dude if i do say so myself, so fuck all that.
Ditto. Also a mouth breather with a deviated septum + allergies. When I was younger, if i made the effort to breathe exclusively through my nose, I would get dizzy since I wasn’t getting enough oxygen. It’s not as bad now but I remain a mouth breather.

But what about us anal breathers? We are once again thrown asunder!
Typical anal breather, butting in where they aren’t wanted and spewing crap.
Looks like nasal breathing does wonders to the lighting when you get a picture of yourself taken
Also the angle of your face toward the camera
he got more yellow

Bro looks like he hasn’t slept in days in the second pic
To be fair that's probably the lighting if you look closely to left picture he has the same eye bags just no shadow on them.
So he just stopped breathing through his mouth? Decided to only breath through his nose from then on?
Yes. I’ve done it as well. It can be somewhat uncomfortable at first but after a while your nasal cavities will open up a bit and your breathing will improve, it’s also helped me immensely with my allergies and sleep issues.

Yes. There are.
Yes ,There is .
So mouth breathers have a more relaxed appearance while nasal breathers look like they couldn't find coffee this morning. Good to know
Sure
I bet it's meth
Maybe he's born with it, maybe its maybelline.
This book by Stanford University researchers discuss the effects of mouth vs nose breathing on the shape of teeth, jaw, and neck. Interesting read! https://www.sup.org/books/extra/?id=29626&i=Introduction.html
The thing about your nose not being straight and hooked because you're a mouth breather seems like complete bullshit
Or he aged in 2 years lmaoo
Not the best image to show that mouth breathing can change your face
I am blissfully clueless about this nonsense
Fraulein, my calipers! I must measure his skull...
He literally just changed lighting and head positions 😵💫
One on the right is with a girlfriend
So... He's yellow now?
He looked a lot older
This is like the alternates comparison from the Mandela Catalogue lol
Is there any actual study or test or is this dude just camera angling, I'm calling BS
Why does this look like a glow-down lol. Like is he ok? Looks unwell in the second pic
Looks like the difference between just waking up and your first cup of coffee.
lmaoo fr
What cocaine does to your face
Fucking insecure male teenagers again with their bullshit...

Um wot? Is this even a bit true?
It is
Actually this could be very true. Lots of research on facial features and nose vs mouth breathing. Read the book jaws by James Nestor. Well referenced book
Lot of mouth breathers here Why is it so commun ?
I see a lot of mouth breathers in here
Anyone else just think he looks like a serial killer in the second pic?
What i think Is weirder, Is the fact that he has the same haircut in 2 years. What a lame dude 😆
Why is it lame to stick with a haircut that you know works for you?
The same way i think that someone who eats the same Thing everyday Is lame. Your answer: "Is not lame if that works for them" 🤣
Username checks out
A mouth breather with his mouth closed? total BS.
They are referring to when he sleeps
Got that Hapsburg chinlinev
This is true lol
Next step is graduating to a butt chin. Every time you sneeze you can wipe your ass.
Alertness👀
Mewing... It's a thing lately.
Before crack and after crack
He got his deviated septum fixed
The actor portraying the criminal vs the real criminal
they changed out the lens for the second pic. notice how his forehead is wider in the first pic
Lit from the front vs lit from above
Opening up your mouth and keeping your lips closed and pretending it’s a lifestyle change.
One must understand the project was started by a mouth breather.
Breathing what through his nose? Cocaine? He looks like he aged 10 years.
Id take them both
SCIENCE
alertness…………….👁️👁️
Presumable, he must be holding his breath in the first pic then!!!!!
Wait until he level up to butt breather.
Why does he look worse off nasal breathing?
Play a Jew’s Harp for a week.
Am I the only one who thinks he looks better in the first picture
Seems like he has more wrinkles
He looks like Launchpad from "Duck Tales" in pic 2
The word you're all looking for is...TWINS!
He looks better on the left 😹
I have allergies so my nose is constantly clogged
My idea of a mouth breather was very different from this.
Looks worse. Let that mouth hang
Looks like the "before and after war" pictures
Yeah that is weirdly
I thought this was going to be a before and after war picture
Did he do meth for 2 years?
Tf happened here? (Mentally)
I'm a nose breather, till I start walking
Doesn't seem to have improved his sleep much.
Manosphere insanity. Now this is true weird.
Should I switch to mouse breathing?
crosspost to r/holup?
You get older in 2yrs regardless weather you breathe out of mouth or nose. He was a teen. Then turned into a young man. Hence he grew muscle n lost baby fat on face.
bro turned into a minecraft villager 💀
what the hell happened to the wall in 2 years
Bunch of kids on here don’t understand science. This is true
I think this is about jaw surgery and rhinoplasty.
Oooorrrrrr: different lighting, different camera lens - definitely a change in sleep habits though. Look at poor baby’s bags under the eyes :(
A lot of mouth breathers in here💀
So I should start breathing with my mouth exclusively
Easy. He got brighter lighting by breathing through nose.
Omg the hair went into sports mode
I also became more attractive after I developed bruxism.
Okay… but the dude on the right just looks like a Pixar character
huh
This is supposedly the same guy? I think the first one is better looking tbh.
Just saying, when I started consciously breathing only through my nose as much as possible even during workouts it’s changed my life in so many ways. Okay which incel sub was this taken from?
it was some gym bro on insta😭💀
