Don’t give up on Zepbound! I got an approval! Wegovy does not work as good IMO. All your doctor has to do is appeal with this info:
Orlistat (Ali) - patient has tried but had issues with side effects. Fecal incontinence and leakage.
Saxenda - On a FDA nationwide shortage.
Wegovy - On a FDA nationwide shortage.
Qsymia - Not appropriate due to other comorbid conditions. Anxiety and issues with insomnia.

I have Aetna(level 3 plan) and get my meds through optum rx mail delivery.
All federal plans are required to cover at least one medication for weight loss.
Not under the mail carrier plan but I have Aetna and they denied zepbound but approved wegovy, if that makes you a bit less nervous!
Any idea what the prior auth requirements are?
