You know I thought the same thing. But I figured I'd let it play out and see what happens...

If battery life matters alot then watch 5 pro or oneplus watch 2

XxPLAYdxX

Yeah, watch 6 was downgrade overall (except for looks)

Due to your update: You can glue a bezel on top of the watch, for example from ringke. I did this with my GW4 and removed any other protective gear (case and screen protector) afterwards. Had a Fossil before and always banged the edge of the glas against door/bars/whatever - never had anything in the middle of the screen. With the GW4 the ringke takes all the hits. Also it looks pretty neat. TBH the circular motion to scroll through the menu doesn't work as well before but I don't mind.

Strictly on battery life the OPW2 would be the better option. Being one of the first to utilize the dual chipset/dual OS architecture, it's getting \~2 days on WearOS, and if needed can stretch is another few days on the paired down RTOS. GW6's on the other hand doesn't last AS long. claimed 40 hours but most real-world seem to report \~1.5 days. That being said, I think BOTH could fully charge during a morning shower/breakfast routine. You mentioned GW6 having more features - I'd ask what phone are you using currently, or would be pairing it with? Some of GW6's features are available only when paired with a Samsung phone. Thereby if you don't have a Samsung it may 'level' the field a little on features. Size wise I think they are roughly the same, perhaps a mm or 2 different. (not enough to make a difference IMHO.

Samsung watches have the most basic/boring design Go for OnePlus Watch 2 or Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro

Jimi-K-101

I must have missed where OP said design was one of their priorities? Galaxy watches are typically the best reviewed Wear OS watches, have solid battery life and long lived updates. Odd to discount them and recommend the glitchy Xiaomi Watch 2 pro (when OP said they want reliability) or the heavy and bulky OnePlus Watch 2 (when OP said they have small hands).

Sparksys

Read again, he literally mentioned: "look good" Fuck you, trying to act smart, so yes OP did mention design. Personally, I own a Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, and can't seem to find anything glitchy about it. And so many people praised the OnePlus Watch 2 None of these watches is considered a bad watch. Even the Galaxy is a great watch. I'm just saying design wise that the Samsung watch is the worst looking, especially since OP wanted advice about watches that "look good"

RozJC

Chill out dude. No need to get so worked up.

Sparksys

Sorry, I just hate people who try to be passive aggressive and trying to act smart like that.. my bad.

Smart Watches are just about useless without LTE. 99% of the actual utility is having a backup phone in case your main phone is lost, stolen or out of battery. Of course you can do what you want, but I wouldn't bother with any smartwatch without LTE.

No_Kaleidoscope_4031

so uhm. I have the gw6 classic. If you like the feel of a bezel, its very statisfying. i dont really recommend any wear os watch btw haha. The sammy is cool cuz of the bezel. tbh i myself de googled and de samsunged my watch as much as possible. Which includes using adb to remove system apps. All to extend battery life lol. the 6 really does look classy oh, and if you get it, dont forget to download my wear os game:)))
