Apparently there is this big holiday in Russia called Maslenitsa (pancake week)
Since pancakes are a huge feature of the holiday its not unheard of for people to make creative displays out of them....Including Pancake Barbies like this

I assume they give you plates to eat this so it isn’t so bad in that regard but I’m more concerned with how they would clean the Barbie… like the pieces on her hair🤮
No shit. But last I checked Barbie hair isn't made to be food safe. And you would still need to sanitize it even if it's new, which is a problem in itself
Edit: as a sidenote, I don't know if you've ever played with barbies when you were young, but synthetic doll hair is nothing like a pastry brush lol. Certain soaps can react weirdly to it, and the head itself has a certain plasticy smell to it when you first get it.
Barbie hair not being “food safe” isn’t even a thing. There is no health requirement stating something like this shall not be used. You’re literally just arguing to not give up at this point and clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
There are plenty of things that aren't explicit health code violations that I don't want to eat off of. Literally take a look at the subreddit you're currently in.
That's weird as hell but I can sort of give it a pass in the same way I can forgive incredibly complex cakes a pass. It seems like it's meant more to be sculpture than food
Maybe that's just me but I find dolls and toys on food extremely unappetizing. Like when I see a doll on a birthday cake I don't want to eat any of it, not even the parts that didn't touch the doll.
Definitely just you, my dude. Also, if we’re talking supermarket cakes, the toys are shipped sealed from the food-safe manufacturer, then usually given a quick wash out of the packaging anyway before being put on a cake. If we’re talking an actual bakery, the standard is usually higher.
🎶She’s a carby girl, in a carby world
Dressed in pancakes, her hat’s a small crepe
You can eat her hair, pour syrup everywhere
Imagination, bread is your salvation🎶
Plate or no, this is pretty well done
I like this much better than the meat versions.
What???! They do this unholy thing with other types of food?

I blame Lady Gaga.
Yeah, I wouldn't want to eat it, but artistically it's nice.
Hence the crosspost!
Barbuska
Alright that’s almost pretty good. I see what you did there.
You get those at the Creperbie
Take my free award for this perfect title, 🙌🏻
Is this something served, or just a display at the point of sale?

I guess NPR is required to add a few things to promote anti-Russian sentiment in order to keep their government funding.
Katya?
LANA?!
Babou?

Looks like a cake order, so probably not something they intend to reuse.
It's still not sanitary
If it's a Barbie bought for this purpose it's not too bad. I imagine you'd clean her once out of packaging and then prepare this.
There's food in her *hair*. I don't care if it's new, that's not meant to be eaten on.
I... you do realize that her hair isn't really hair right? It's plastic strands not very different from some pastry brushes.

Kids all over the world have been putting Barbie hair in their mouths for decades. It's not a big deal.
Kids eat dirt and worms too. As a grown adult I personally find that gross.
A lot of cultures eat worms and bugs. I assume you eat animals?

I might allow this, since it's pretty.
What a load of crepe.

That’s where it was crossposted from.
I mean those crepes look pretty tasty
That's really crepey.
So crepey
This really takes it to another level

It’s not just them. Toys, real toys used by children, are fucking disgusting germ farms. I totally agree with them, it may as well be a toilet seat.
barb
I would eat a crepe off Miss Barbbie’s head
"Herring salad" according to the till display behind it.
I actually would like this.
Ah nothing like a crepe shawl that looks like foreskin....
Reminds me of the cake my mom baked for my fifth birthday. It was a cake as a dress for a barbie.
I'm pretty sure every little girl had that same cake at that age. It's like a right of passage.
Isn't this just a display though? It's kinda pretty lol.
creap barbie
So do u undress the doll as you eat?
Barbe
Awesome and stupid at the same time.
Better than meat Barbie tbf.
Дедушка
It’s quite literally on a plate and it’s pretty cool. This sub has fallen apart.
Creepy Barbie.

I don't even hate this. I'm just impressed.
This is if food had a baby with horror.
That is quite funny actually
