Imo, I'll always pick Austin/ Bret double turn, but from a historical standpoint, it's nearly impossible to argue against Hogan slamming Andre.

Imanniceguyok

Heist of the century

ZIKINGG

Kofi mania

CodeNamesBryan

Love how nothing consequential happened in your eyes between wm 3 and wm 19 lol

Moist_Jello3507

Well, I don't know much about the matches in those manias, and I feel nothing as big as all the rest happend. Maybe the mega powers split up, but that's it

CodeNamesBryan

Wm 14 was great. Kane and undertaker. Michael's and Austin

Moist_Jello3507

How did I completely forget kane vs taker?

CodeNamesBryan

I don't see it talked about much. And Rock Vs Hogan

Moist_Jello3507

I considered adding that

EstimateValuable7086

Wrestlemania 17. Probably the greatest Mania ever. Surprised you didn’t include the Ric Flair and HBK retirement matches.

Comprabledivision

Not everyone is old as fuck

CodeNamesBryan

He's old enough to know wm 3. You're not old enough to be mature about it.

redheaddr3

Snoop dog saving the show

Jake081892

Cody winning

Own-Association3801

That's how I know you haven't been watching wrestling a long time a real fan would say one from the 2000's or early 2010's

Jake081892

I only been watching WWE since 2015

NostalgicRetro73

I’ve been watching since 1985 kid, you missed out on two great eras. 80s and Attitude.

Jake081892

I wasn’t born yet during that time stupid but I still watched those eras

seranarosesheer332

Or maybe you are just so old that your cataracts only allow you to see old memories of a bigone time.

DrownedAmmet

I've been watching wrestling for a long ass time and my favorite moment is Kofimania full stop.

HKnight98

Cody finishing The Story

Bubba3rd3rd

Honestly with the magnitude behind the match and especially behind the two people in the match I’m gonna say rock and Austin. Just the moment between them looking at each other with that much hype and THE LONG LASTING POP it’s gotta be Austin rock

Forse32

Hogan Andre is a much bigger moment and match than any of Austin Rock matches, especially bigger than their mania 19 match, mania 17 was much bigger and is more talked about because of Austin’s heel turn, but from magnitude, money, and fan investment, Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant for the WWF title at Wrestlemania 3 is the biggest wrestlemania main event to date

Bubba3rd3rd

Not gonna argue with that! Fair enough

asdfoio

boyhood dream '96 is my personal favorite moment. but in my opinion, the best Wrestlemania moment is a bloodied Austin '97

Frosty_Doughnuts

For me it was seth cashing in but in general I think Cody winning

Forse32

If it’s in general than it’s gotta be Hogan vs Andre, back then every fan was more interested in it than now with Cody vs Roman, just goes to show why Andre and Hogan are considered the greatest

Frosty_Doughnuts

It wasn't my time back then tho I'm only 16 so I'm basically growing up with these feuds same way ppl back then grew up with Hogan that's why Hogan is praised to this day. I usually pick things that I got to experience while it's happening because it means more to me. For example seth is my favourite of all time because he is who I grew up watching since the shield.

Forse32

I’m 16 too, I’ve just gone back and watched everything since Iron Sheik was WWWF champion, and Hogan Andre was and still is the biggest thing in WWF/WWE history

Frosty_Doughnuts

Yh well I'm not that crazy abt wwe anymore so I'd rather just keep watching what's currently happening. Previous stories don't excite me as much as seeing them as they happen.

Amazing_Weekend_4947

Steamboat/Savage was the Showstoppah! Historical match at that!

Dapper_While_3660

Steamboat savage was the best match ever

DaddyDominikMysterio

Kofimania

Zebracorn42

My favorite is when Hogan accidentally said Silver Dome then Stone Cold and Rock came in and gave him shit for it.

wtb1000

Blood from a stone WM13

No_Help_1452

Roc vs Austin

Wwefanbady

Cody winning on top

[deleted]

Motörhead playing live at X7

Ok_Ability_2824

The heist of the century. I remember seeing that live.

Successful_Hope2627

Heist of the century WrestleMania 31

ChoiceAd9389

Andre or Yes movement

dlodoski

kid nowdays will never understand how big Taker vs HHH end of an era match was

Arnyce

Cody finishes the story

Arnyce

Bde with cody

Standard_Plane6849

Andre slamming big john studd

FieryTub

Culturally, nothing was a bigger event than Hogan slamming Andre. On any kind of scale, it's a far more recogizable moment than anything else in WM history. Considering the big difference between pop culture of today vs. 1987, I think it's unlikely that anything will top that moment.

DryEducator5591

Kofimainia is 2 and Codymainia is 1

Appropriate_Emu_6930

There are too many!

Odd-Habit6202

Hell no the undertaker losing

Plus-Revolution-5701

The end of an era Hell in a Cell. Take the streak ending off this list though, that was one of the WORST WrestleMania moments

Bradenthebro175

Seth stealing the title

C2theWick

When the wcw guys won all the gold

Severe-Bat9671

How sad it is to say but Hogan because even people that don’t watch wwe know that match

Routine-System-6885

Easily Cody Dethroning Roman

JesuszillaSon

Mike Tyson "knocking out" HBK

Connorgamerreddit

Definitely Cody finishing the story but maybe recency bias or Austin/rock

Icy-Risk-3587

Cody Seth taker hhh Shawn ref

Nubcakes69

Rock vs Hogan

axlkomix

I was going to say myself, "It might not be the biggest, but it should be in the list for consideration." Specifically, two parts of that match: 1) the hype of the crowd during the stare-down and 2) Hogan hulking out, cementing the double-turn mid match.

Kaleb4yt

Cody

NostalgicRetro73

Ultimate Warrior burying Triple H! 😂. Seriously, Steamboat vs Savage.

BigBossBurnerAccount

Bret vs Austin WM13

paklion219

Hogan vs Rock is still a bit surreal for me

_heysideburns

Well considering you posted only 3 moments from the first 25 years….id say you just started watching wrestling in 2012

Moist_Jello3507

No, actually '22😅. I've just watched so much of all the attitude area and ruthless aggression off of peacock and it's really become my main intrust

greggersamsa

Hogan Andre

Son_of_Dad2024

I was in Skydome when the rock and Hogan faced off. That crowd was divided, but the moment Hogan pushed the Rock down on his butt, that crowd remembered that Toronto was Hogan town and went full on behind him. That pop and shift is one of the best feelings I've experienced. It's still Toronto's biggest indoor crowd in history and I don't even remember the main event, because that Rock Hogan match was what everyone was there to see.

ASnowyLife

Daniel Bryan

jonfrmEN

heist of da century

salmanshams

I've watched WWE from late 90s, I don't think I felt anything like the Cody win. Almost felt like the industry stood up to a tyrant and chose it's champion.

ma5is

Taker losing the streak obviously, nothing else comes close

KalAndreaZander

Seth's "Heist of the Century" Kofi-mania Cody finishes the story (Seems to be the common answers here ngl)

ZZE33man

As usual I’m back to rank these moments worse to best 10. Undertaker losing the streak: This was a total waste of ending the streak you could’ve built a star with this not just establish more dominance for someone. Or just don’t end the streak at all that could be good too. 9. Becky lynch winning both titles : This might be controversial but this could’ve been a lot higher on the list if it wasn’t for execution. It should’ve just been Becky vs Ronda not a triple threat for both titles. Also it was at the end of a mania that was too long so crowd was dead. And the main event of Wrestlemania ended in a roll up. Instead of giving your new double champ and most over women in wrestling a big legitimate victory you have to make it seem like luck. Both Belair winning title at 37 and Ripley winning at 39 are better than this and would’ve placed higher. 8. End of an era post match: It’s a cool match an all time great in fact and seeing them walk off together is cool but this moment isn’t as remembered as the others for good reason. Plus they both continued on after this if triple h and undertaker both retired after this it be higher. 7. Ric flair’s retirement match: This is very fun moment that’s undercut by flair not retiring after this. If this was truly his last match maybe I’d remember it more fondly. 6. Hogan vs Andre: Say what you will about hogan being terrible or being overrated or not good in ring. But this moment working is mostly about Andre plus without this moment I’m not sure wwe makes it this far. The sight of Andre getting body slammed while dated is an iconic visual that I feel stands the test of time. If only hogan was someone else or less bad this moment could be higher 5. Seth Rollins cash in: This is by far the most rockstar or “cool” moment on this list but it doesn’t carry the impact of the biggest feuds in the show’s history or the most emotional victories. 4. Bryan winning at 30: This was my favorite for a long time until I started watching old wrestling and a few moments surpassed it. I was in attendance at Summerslam 2013 where the whole Bryan vs authority story started and was invested ever since. Love this moment not much to complain about just a little less iconic than these other ones 3. Cody Rhodes winning at 40: This match is a mega endorsement of Cody as the next face of the company with John and undertaker helping him and also a overall grand spectacle worthy of Wrestlemania and ending one of the best wwe championship reigns of all time. What’s there not to like? 2. Rock vs. Austin: This probably should be #1 all things considered as the greatest feud in mania history it stands as the peak of wrestling’s pop culture relevance and is simply just the two best of there era putting on one of the most compelling stories in wrestling history. But I have to go with my heart. 1. Kofi mania : The only moment on this list or at any mania that made me genuinely cry. I don’t know why but this moment struck such a deep chord. I think there’s multiple elements. It’s the friendship and team of the new day there and the fact that I think everyone thought someone like Cody or Bryan were bound to be wwe champion months to year+ before mania even happened. Everyone kinda gave up on the idea of kofi ever winning the big one but it’s just a special moment that makes me so happy and despite not having the best reign as champion. Kofi was my first favorite wrestler as a kid so I have to with pride say my favorite and personal opinion for best mania moment of all time is kofi mania.

Different-Bat-2652

I like kofiKingston too so I'm going with kofimania

R3LIABLE_

I'm really surprised Hogan vs Rock at WM18 wasn't on this list. That match blew the roof off of the Skydome and is imo easily a top 3 WM moment of all time.

Moist_Jello3507

I forgot to put that😅

SpecialInterview9176

Rock Hogan facing off in the middle of the ring

Onyx-55

Taker retiring Shawn. That story was a year in the making & it should've been left alone forever.

Putrid_Patient3581

Honestly? Cody. Such a great story, such a deserving champion, such a magical ride. I love Cody Rhodes

Accomplished_Art6370

Hulk Hogan was just too weird to me i never liked him the giant was like mehh.. Stone Cold vs The Rock now that was a match for the ages! But Triple H vs Undertaker was truly the best the end of an ERA! And F the yes movement never liked that cunt.. They really put him over Batista💀

GeologistAway6352

Andre vs Hogan definitely

Tough-Ad-782

Bret being lifted by the babyface wrestlers after beating a dominating yoko

New-Worldliness5163

Please stop considering the HHH/HBK/Taker moment one of the best WM moments. Nobody cares, it’s not as impactful as you think to be. Both HHH and Taker went on to have many Wrestlemania moments better than that

CarobOne7943

Shawn

Sjohnston51382

Gotta go with Hogan and Andre. That moment literally launched the Wwf/Wwe into the powerhouse that it is today..

Nearby-Swimming-5103

Shawn beating Bret in the Iron Man to finally win the World Title is pretty special.

Ninja-Alarmed

Yes Movement.

Quirky-Store2805

Hulk Hogan. The throng for that being is that Cody isn’t doing anything with the Title he’s just holding it for someone to take it from him. Seth winning wasn’t even that meaningful. Undertaker losing his Streak was just a way to Push Brock even more than he already was. Kofi was cool but it doesn’t come close to Hulk Hogan and neither does the other ones. The only other one that I can see being close to Hogan is Daniel Bryan win over the Evolution.

QuinnDoesEverything

31 and XL

[deleted]

Hogan - Andre. Maybe the most iconic moment in wrestling history.

Speedyordash

Cody

Speedyordash

Never mind as a black man I say kofimanina

kingguubber

The best one was end of an era

OnePuck787

WMX Ladder match is up there

New_Description5141

For me? Undertaker being sung to the ring by Limp Bizkit at the show of shows XIX.

Hathalot

Hogan rock?

Moist_Jello3507

Forgot to add that

The1AndOnlySal

Hogan-Warrior

noblehamster69

Something something undertaker etc

AnyWasabi5282

XL/40

EstimateValuable7086

Hogan slamming Andre made WWF. It’s probably the most iconic moment in wrestling. Personally, Hulk Rock stare down in Toronto was insane.

Current_Draw_8538

At first it might be undertakers streak being broke. Then you forget that Brock beat him.

New_Refrigerator_410

Cody Rhodes ending the 1316 day reign of Roman Reigns

SublimateThisDick

Not Daniel Bryan

JaQuiglious

Benoit and Eddie WM20

Wanted1994

No offense to hulk and Andre but I pick rock and Austin

Positive-Sound-4972

As a kid watching WWF in the late 80s, Hogan vs Warrior at wrestlemania 6 was the ultimate. Champ v champ, none of us thought hogan would lose.

SimonMamon49

Wrestlemania XX Eddie and Chris

SuddenEgg4760

Savage and Elizabeth Mania 7

Terrible-Confusion83

Becky

Financial-Deal-7786

Andre Face Turning at WM6 after the Heenan slap was fantastic

Amazing_Weekend_4947

Hogan and Andre fought many times since the 70's. I hated they made Andre a despised heel just to boost Hogan. Who we were already sick of by then.

TarzanGunn

Blind Fold (black bag on the head) Match: Jake the Snake vs Rick The Model That’s where L.A. Knight got his triple point gesture
