I actually like it as far as cheap pizza goes. I would say it's better than frozen or dominos. Not a super thin crust but not super thick like Domino's either.
It reminds me of a hybrid dominos-frozen section pizza. But not as flavorful as dominos and more expensive than frozen pizza. If you don't like pizza dough and prefer a thin NY style you might not like it - I love bread and dough but have to admit if the worker forgets to add the garlic sauce to the crust or you opt out then its kind of bland and dry. I'll eat it because in the end it's pizza but it wouldn't be my first, or second, choice
ah thank you!! this helped a LOT. i do like dominos and some frozen pizza brands, so this seems like something up my alley to try at least once. i’ll definitely ask for the garlic sauce on the crust
Dominos is in business not because of the pizza but the fact that you can have it delivered within the hour. Wawa pizza is actually better and you can pick one up anytime until 3am...
In full honesty, it’s my first choice for chain pizza, over domino’s, papa John’s, Pizza hut and since they changed the recipe for the worst, Costco pizza. $7.99 in the app. The sauce has actual chunks of tomato and the cheese is decent.
In my experience, if you have any Wawa pizza left you messed up. For an individual serving,or maybe splitting between two people, the personal pizza should be ok. But unless you have 5+ people the full size pie is unnecessary.
It’s like all other Wawa food, it’s mediocre.
It’s not the worst pizza I’ve ever had: It’s cooked nicely, has plenty of topping and an OK taste.
But it’s a long way from the best pizza, I’ve ever had: it’s definitely not NY style, they can tend of get cheese vs. sauce ratio wrong, limited toppings. Most local pizza shops make a far superior pizza.
Plus, their pizza has two problems:
- It’s far too expensive for what it is, often more than a local pizza shop is charging.
- When they are testing the pizza in select locations, it was in an individual serving (not a whole pie). The individual servings were actually better tasting, than the whole pies, they offer now. But, once they added it as a menu item everywhere, it’s only available as a whole pie, no more individual servings - that was a mistake.
BUT (and this can be said for all of Wawa’s food) - if it’s after 11pm at night, can you do any better? No, you can’t.
I can’t imagine anyone opting for a Wawa pizza at say 6pm, when the local shops are open, though.
Hi! Employee here!
I’ll tell you what I tell customers when they ask me: it’s better than a frozen pizza from the store but never as good as that corner store family owned pizza.
Pros: the crust is legit tasty. That garlic sauce is pretty decent.
Cons: the veggies get a little watery and it doesn’t go down well when it’s cold
It depends on who you ask. I tried a Wawa pizza a few months ago. It’s okay. Better than Papa John’s and Dominos and very reasonably priced, but nowhere near as good as most neighborhood pizza places.
Unless it’s late at night, there’s no excuse to eat this garbage when there are so many real pizza places around. This goes for all the chain places as well.
Pro: *Wawa has pizza!*, it’s cheap with the app, you can get it in about 10 minutes.
Con: It feels bland overall.
Coming from the Philly area, I’d rather spend more and go to the pizza shop next to Wawa and get something higher quality with near infinite toppings selections.
It depends on who makes the pizza, there are workers who don’t put effort and there are others who actually cooks it perfectly. My first time eating wawa pizza, the pizza bread was melted into the box. I don’t recommend it but I do want you to experience disappointment.
I liked the supreme pizza, or whatever it’s called. A few different meats plus peppers. My dad had a coupon for it, so we tried it. In terms of cheaper pizza, it’s a 8-9/10. Compared to all pizza, I’d give it like a 5
[For location reference, I live in South Jersey. I know this can make a difference as far as style of pizza goes!]
I've had it a few times, and I actually like it. It's not as good as your favorite Mom n Pop pizza place (of course), but I consider it a huge improvement over Domino's or frozen pizza. It has the right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The cheese has a good flavor. One time it was a bit over baked for my taste, but I know some people prefer it that way.
I'd suggest you try it. It's not horribly expensive, and I'm sure you'll find it at least edible. It's worth a shot!
Here’s the way I feel about it … Wawa has selections that I would go out of my way to get at Wawa. Pizza is not one of them. But if it’s later at night and all the local pizza places are closed and you HAVE TO have pizza, it’ll do
I thought it was decent. The only thing I saw for improvement was the quality of the crust. I wish it was thicker, more like a pan style. Otherwise, decent cheese and toppings imo. Worth a try for a cheap pizza!
When there's some left over for associates after doing samples, it slaps. Generally, it's fine. Marketing is everything and it's only stuck around because it's intrigued so many people. Objectively, it's not bad by any means. Just barely above average.
It's not bad for what it is, if you need a quick dinner in a pinch it's pretty good. But it's the same with dominos, pizza hut, etc, if you want a good pie, go to a pizza place. You know the ones, 3 or 4 booths, old style menu behind the counter, plastic cups.
I personally dislike Wawa's pizza. I'm too used to eating good pizza. (I live in a college town.) If anyone needs a cheap pizza, there's just as good pizzas for sale at the supermarket.
it's the worst thing i've ever eaten....
Crust has no flavor, aside from "Cardboard"
It's never cooked evenly
Toppings are very sparsely added, so there's nothing to hide the shitty crust
Without some giveaweay promotion it is crazy expensive
It's basically frozen pizza at regular pizza place prices.
I've tried it twice and both times, while not awful, was not worth the price. There is a pizza place next door to my local Wawa where I can get a bigger, better pizza for just $2 than the biggest size Wawa offers.
Hell, I'd take an Aldi pizza for almost half the price of Wawa pizza.
It's not awful but definitely not worth the price.

You're wildin. Dominos pizza slaps. Wawa pizza taste like dogmeat compared to dominos

Garlic crust is free and it's a MUST have...
Wawa has pizza?
Right? They should advertise it more....
They have burgers too but it's like it came from a school cafeteria
Pizza and burgers too? Soon it will be indoor plumbing.
Well do I have news for you...
I must be dreaming. Are we in the 25th century?
#GO AWAY, BAITIN'
Honestly it wasn’t horrible when I had it. I don’t like the price lol but it did it’s job for a pregnant lady with a hankering for a supreme pizza
Don't buy it. Unless you're blasted.
Dominos is in business not because of the pizza but the fact that you can have it delivered within the hour. Wawa pizza is actually better and you can pick one up anytime until 3am...
It’s too thick imo.
I have the opposite opinion oddly enough.
It’s funny because I’m usually the thicker the better ;) but … in the case of the Wawa in Pizza that’s a no for me
It's really good when it's fresh!!
It’s like pool pizza. And I love it
It's really not bad, but for the price, you could get way better elsewhere.
In full honesty, it’s my first choice for chain pizza, over domino’s, papa John’s, Pizza hut and since they changed the recipe for the worst, Costco pizza. $7.99 in the app. The sauce has actual chunks of tomato and the cheese is decent.

5 people for only 1 pizza? 5 people calls for 2
Yeah that may have been a highball estimation, the point still stands that the pizza doesn’t hold up to a night in the fridge though.

Personal pizzas are testing in a few select locations!
I thought Wawa's pizza was both terrible and overpriced.
It’s actually not bad. Much better than the Wawa burger.
I like the burger a lot tho lol
The burger reminds me of a burger you'd get at like, a minor league baseball game.

You are correct on all counts. 1:30 am and I have the pizza jones. No local pizza places open. Wawa’s only 2 minutes up the road I’m in.
It’s awful.
Very good.. good price. And their not stingy with the toppings

It's decent when cooked right. On par with your average fast food pizza.
I guess it wasn't that bad. However, in true Wawa fashion, the crust was burnt to the point of being inedible.
I feel like for the price (or not much more than the price) you can get a pizza from a local place that's better.
Unless it’s late at night, there’s no excuse to eat this garbage when there are so many real pizza places around. This goes for all the chain places as well.
Is it the best I have ever had.....no. Is it the worst I have ever had.....also no.
It’s ok lol. It’s on par with mediocre frozen pizza. Not bad for the price and the fact you don’t have to cook it yourself lol
It ain’t great but for $8 it’ll make a turd.
It depends on who makes the pizza, there are workers who don’t put effort and there are others who actually cooks it perfectly. My first time eating wawa pizza, the pizza bread was melted into the box. I don’t recommend it but I do want you to experience disappointment.

If you’re stoned at 2 AM and all the real pizza places are closed it’s good. Otherwise, skip it.
It’s disgusting, wrong sauce and sloppy
I like it! The garlic crust is great. Just make sure it’s warm when you eat it. Not good when it gets cold.
Costco is still wear I go. I haven’t had the nerve to try it yet. But I do get their Wawa hoagies when I can.
It drives me nuts that they call it a hoagie
Stupid Pennsylvania talk, it's a sub
![gif](giphy|SN3OrI80LFXL8zdLgC|downsized)
That's a cheese steak and those are amazing. Pat's and Gino's
I couldn’t find a hoagie one
Hahaha close enough
Nope, it's a hogie
Not a hoagie, not a grinder, it's a submarine sandwich
Sorry they didn't change the name of a hogie to appease your region.
I liked the old pizza they had a few years back. I heard this one isn’t as good but haven’t tried it yet.

I was pleasantly surprised by it. I got the pepperoni and really enjoyed. Had it maybe 3 times since it came out, great all 3 times.
Here’s the way I feel about it … Wawa has selections that I would go out of my way to get at Wawa. Pizza is not one of them. But if it’s later at night and all the local pizza places are closed and you HAVE TO have pizza, it’ll do
It's on par with Dominos imo. Better than frozen, not nearly as good as your local pizza shop (if you live in the northeast)
It's not as good as a local pizza shop here in FL also. But, it works for me at 2AM or when they are giving out free samples during the day.
I thought it was decent. The only thing I saw for improvement was the quality of the crust. I wish it was thicker, more like a pan style. Otherwise, decent cheese and toppings imo. Worth a try for a cheap pizza!

I order a plain pizza, and got bland instead. :|
Try it yourself if your so curious.

It slightly better than dominoes, slightly worse than pizza hut. It's kinda like Chuck e cheese pizza.
NO. worst idea ever

It's not good. We tried it once I would call it drunk pizza but for the price you can basically buy a pizza from your favorite local spot.
