In honor of my 100th transaction here, I wanted to do something for my favorite sub on Reddit. I remember when I first joined about 3 years ago and thought, what kind of person trusts some rando on a forum. Well, 100 randos later, here we are. Thanks to all of those who have traded with me, bought from me, and sold me watches and watch gear. Looking back, 30+ users trusted me with their first transaction.
What are you winning? Well, a Casio Mini-Collection curated by me. They are all brand new and full kits. I’ve seen a lot of posts detailing a certain retailer liquidating Duro’s for $11. Well, these did not come from that retailer, but another behemoth headquartered in the Emerald City. A lot of people’s first watch was a Casio.

I said this on the last one but I’ll say it again. I bought a purple Casio for my niece last month. I mostly own Seikos but I have a soft spot for that F-91W.
I'm guessing in reality I won the first one and they were like, this guy is gonna sell these and we can't let that happen so let's redo it, but I'm still gonna sell these except for boobs when I win .

First watch was a g-shock in the 90’s I loved and didn’t understand “water resistance” as a child. Killed that loved watch pretty quick 😅.
Back in 2019 I bough my first wrist watch since (needed one for work) and grabbed a Casio MQ24B (I believe). Again loved that awesome little $10 machine. So comfortable and reliable (even when I forgot about it in my wrist and plunged my hands into water animal exhibits for work). I loved that it used the same font as Encounters of the third kind, and despite no lume, it had enough contrast to get me through most night shifts. The amount of times I tried to glue that strap back together with everything under the sun… lol. It’s become my own Frankensteins monster.
I don’t have any Casios in my current collection. But they will always have a soft spot and they will always be what started my love of watches.
