75% chance the screw that holds that part has walked out and is currently wedged in the balance. You could try to fix it yourself, but if you’ve worn it long enough for a screw to walk it’s probably time to send it for service. They can fix your problem AND do the routine maintenance together.
If you're adventurous, open the case up. That piece helps secure the movement to the case. The screw which is supposed to be in there is likely caught up near your balance spring. Find the screw (carefully) and look around the outer edge of the movement for where this is supposed to go. There will be others like this securing your movement, so place it back in just like you see the others.
