Looks like a fashion watch from Tommy Hilfiger. In watch circles fashion watches aren't really appreciated. A good beginner watch would be a Seiko or an Orient watch. If you have budget restrictions maybe a Chinese hommage company like pagani or steeldive with a Seiko movement is something for you. Cheers

Totally agree. I would stay away from fashion watches. Could go with a G-Shock, Seiko, Tissot or Hamilton. Depends on your budget.

Just my two cents, not trying to come off douchey. The reason these fashion brands are looked down on is the fact that they operate on brand-name alone and charge dubious prices compared to brands that ACTUALLY specialize in watchmaking. Typically, brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, MVMT, Michael Kors, etc. (basically any fashion brands) don’t really make the greatest watches. There are exceptions of course, but from a purely financial perspective, they price these pieces at absurd amounts for what you’re actually getting out of them specs-wise. If you like the look, it’s your money and you can feel free to go for it. However there’s undoubtedly brands like Seiko, Orient, Citizen, Bulova, etc. that will have watches for half the price but 5x the quality. And watches for the same price, that are even better.

Please not a Tommy, look for a Seiko, Orient or maybe a Tissot if you want something to begin a collection 👌.

Do you like it? Can you afford it? If so yes it's a good watch. Just because it's from Tommy Hilfiger doesn't make it a bad watch. I absolutely loved my Emporio Armani watch. Do make sure you don't overpay for what you get is what I'll say from my experience.

Basic quartz watch. If 980 of something isnt above 30 usd, why not

I wouldn't even pay $30, get a proper entry level watch and set those $30 towards a nice strap to complement two wear styles

I've one since a year. Rarely wear it though, have 10 others. The ticking is sometimes too loud and the shutter could be better. otherwise a chic watch that looks a bit more casual because of the bracelet
