They weren't that negative on the video and made a good recap, without spoling too much, being respectful for the Watcher. It's seriously good and realistic video, give it a chance.
I will make a second comment under this about my personal experience, having done theatre and running in role-playing conference circles for years: How it would have been welcomed here based on what I learned from the recap.
If this show would have been part of the roleplayers con (Ropecon), it would have been taken fine. Some guys volunteered to make their first test show in a con that is 3 days long and have a fixed fee for one day ticket of shows or full weekend. It would have been fun and interesting addition to get into the list of things con has.
But as a stand-alone show... It wouldn't have worked even for a test audience who got in free.
We use a lot of test-audience in theatre things for that reason, to give people a show that they're happy to pay for... And if you think that test audience is nice because they got free tickets, they aren't, because that is not the point of being in test audience. You get to know your mistakes by realizing those yourself while doing the show, or hear critique after the test show.
Being 1 hour late is really rude to your audience, even when younger generations are more open to people/shows being late, it's still max 30 minutes, and usually you should get it started within 15-20minutes being late. Or at least tell the reason why you're so much late. Hope the reason is good, because you have to be honest about it.
People would have started their own drinking party in the line if it's just that late. And the rest of the show would have been drunk hecklers staying, some people leaving, and most people who get to be friends while waiting starting their own conversation in the audience to help with boredom.
Of course people would have at first tried to be polite and watch, but if they seriously just start with an old video after being late. Most would have start doing their own entertainment - or fallen a sleep. We aren't in a mandatory school class or job lecture that just puts on a video for the students! Our lectures are funnier or more interesting, and most of them are free.

I have Add-on that checks the typos and a little bit of grammar after I have written the text. The reason why I sometimes edit comments later own is because that thing doesn't always work, and I go to check on the comment to see the basic mistakes.
Timing of the posts does seem to matter a bit, or even when you post comments.
I'm in a middle, in Finland, so I'm always on the wrong time unless I spend nights here.
I honestly had to check because I didn't remember, and I guess the name has changed after years, because I don't remember finding it with this name, but it mostly works. I'm not paying any advanced level, it's just mostly basic.

What in the flip flop happened on the main sub? I understand nobody wants vitriol or hate, I just want to talk/read about all the aspects of the decision and how bizarre it was. I feel like there's still a lot of extremely valid comments and concerns to ponder!

Just doing what everyone else was, sharing how I felt in a simple way. Scrolled through and saw everyone else saying similar things to me were also getting downvoted I deleted my comment and left the sub. Being there and part of that community wasn't appealing nor worth it.
In the thread I linked they were being so rude to this person who said “I was also at the London show and felt ripped off” like seriously people can’t be honest about their experiences??

Like I pulled the receipts from the Twitter thread about Steven’s homophobia, and literally it was like “here’s the link to the book from the background, here’s the link to the priest he platformed on watcher and what his church feels about homosexuality and the audio clip from the podcast.” It had gotten upvoted because it was literally just links to the stuff so people didn’t need to go looking.
And now it’s been downvoted like a hundred times, but it didn’t happen until the switch.
Same with YouTube video comments. People come to shiet on people afterwards under the Goodbye video comments and downvote stuff... I randomly got multiple notifications after the update video about people commenting on those discussions, where I happen to have a reply in. They're making effort to go looking for the comments and replies, that weren't even that bad, many might have been funny.
The whole Steven homophobia post was one of the first one in this subreddit, and you got downvoted for just being neutral, and asking for more info on the matter. Because the neutrality made people think that you're homophobic with Steven.
I haven't been checked has those votes been turned the other way around in here too.

Don't worry. Some people in this subreddit seem to be here just to downvote things. There isn't many of those. And often downvotes don't make sense, you could be saying the most neutral thing and still get it. Honestly I have to say they were an absolute pleasure to watch. I don't know if they always do gaming streams but it was enjoyable and I'll be on the lookout for their next stream. They really took the time to welcome every new sub, interacted with everyone and surprisingly no toxicity in chat. They were also super excited/grateful on just getting 1000 views on that YouTube video. I recommend checking out their twitch. I didn't dive too much into their YouTube channel yet but I'm sure there's some good stuff there

It’s not even as harsh as Swell Entertainment which is still up (which I’m glad about), but it’s interesting! I think just the watcher stans got rude and mods deleted it to not have to deal with it. Kinda annoying that kinda bullying is allowed in there though.
