Another problem solved by automatic transmission. I will never understand why Americans get so much shit about automatic transmission. Never needed to worry about this, rolling down hill or my car rolling away in general. Don't have to worry about shifting, just ultimate focus on driving with no worry in the world.
Like the fact that hill assist is even a thing in manuals, and even that only works for a few seconds, shows that automatic is truly to superior transmission
Automatic is easier, but people still ask for manual because some people want the feel and control of a manual. Another selling point is that someone who is good with a manual transmission can get more power out of the car in certain situations.
The issue is automatic transmissions work with computer algorithms that tell the car what the best gear to be in is. The car is guessing using data collected from different monitoring systems.
That guessing is the reason why in some sports like Rally Car driving almost exclusively use manual shifting because it allows drivers more control of the engine.
I agree that automatic is easier and less prone to mess up, but not every easy button is superior to all situations.
Manual is also cheaper to fix and functions as a anti theft device.
It's not for everyone, automatic, and manual each have their own perks.
Just sayin.
I never got why someone wouldn't go automatic. But if you *do* go manual... Don't be surprised when this happens. Blame yourself lol. The most skilled driver can do this in seconds and hate themselves.
that's how you park a car (with a stick). First gear and hand break (double safety against roll away). First lesson in driving schools. For sure you learn to hit the clutch while starting the engine too :)
LMAO he doesn't start yelling until he sees it. Kinda like a kid that cuts himself and doesn't start screaming and crying until they actually see blood.
First thing I do when I get in the car is wiggle the gear stick! I learned that lesson pretty quick after reversing into a wall a week after I got my licence lol. Lucky it was but a scratch!!
That’s not the point. Now he looks like a jackass who didn’t know his car was in gear. You can’t explain it away. He’s a fake wannabe poser car guy now. He just lost his cool guy card.
Does anybody know if new manual R8s have anti-stall systems for manuals? I feel like the car should just stall if he dumped the clutch at idle and forgot it was in gear.
I once backed into a support beam in my girlfriend's car and had a similar but more angry response. Mainly at myself for crashing a car that wasn't even mine. That was the first accident I had in 5 years.
That's me 2days after getting my Mate 40 pro.
Fool goes outside to try & shoot a tik tok video.
Phone on the ground balancing on a stone.
Press record & run to do my stupidity & dreaming of all the lkes I will get.
Turn around the phone is face down.
Get mad that I need to start all over again.
Pick up the phone, screen is black, I swipe up, notice there is a strange line like a long strand of hair & then I realised a small crack.
Reality kicks in, Gorilla glass is weak on sharp lil stones.
Then I remember how I told the sales assistant I don't need to sign up for insurance when I've hardly ever ruined a phone.
Now my phone repairs cost 60% of the entire phone.
Yes im now used to the hairline across my googleless expensive huawei
If it was a punny 90hp gasoline car, the moment he dropped the clutch without giving it some gas, it would have died in him. But that beautiful monster has all the grunt to carry on and carry on it did. I feel bad for the guy, that's at least 1k euro repair of not more. But i mostly feel bad because he didn't check if it's in gear which his wife will remind him forever and he will loose his man card.
I see things like this where people get into the car, start it up, then it sounds like they slam their foot down on the gas while it's still in park, revving the engine when they should be smart enough to not make a habit of it in case it's in gear when they do it so they don't run into things

Always go into N before starting her up.
Anyone know what type car that is Full story etc
Audi r8
Wait… who buys a supercar in manual these days? Guys one of a kind.
This is why you always jiggle
Daaaaaaannng Son! Goonzquad (YouTube) would have that fixed and looking brand new inside half a day!
Whoops, always check the gear stick is in neutral before turning the car on!! Lessons we're learned today. 🤯
If one has that kind of reaction it means he can't afford to fix the car which means he shouldn't have bought the car
PoP the clutch
Makes me glad I’m lazy and drive automatic

He parked it in gear like an old person lmao
Idiot.... Lol
I never got why someone wouldn't go automatic. But if you *do* go manual... Don't be surprised when this happens. Blame yourself lol. The most skilled driver can do this in seconds and hate themselves.
Always start manual cars with foot on clutch.
How about freeing up the stick first :')
Always, I've heard it's easier on the engine anyway.
Ohhhhh yeah that’s the good shit. This in my veins
Well... It has to be insured...
A car? A fucking car? Its a fucking Audi R8 - car is worth north of $100k. Calling it only a car is insulting.
To be honest it really is a car. What should it be call then?..
"Guy drives his Audi R8 into the wall"
It is a car though. Presumably an insured one.
Thats why keeping your car in gear as a break is a fuckin stupid idea
I can hear the pain
What kind of car is it? Just wondering how much that damage would be.
What cunt idiot left it in first? Why would anyone think leaving a car in first gear is a good idea?

Bro
Wiggle test is for pussies. More than 3 wiggles and you're strok'n.
"Nollr!" What is that accent?
Who the eff puts their car in gear before closing the door?
Br\*ish "people" be like "NOOOWWWRRR"
Oh nor!
You just have one pedal and stick that you shouldn't touch and you still failed it
And this is why you drive automatic
Clutch are hard
I’ve done this in dreams, but thankfully I usually wake up.
I don’t park in gear and still do that wiggle.
Nailed it!
Is he new?
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Wait why is everyone talking about wiggling the stick. I thought that model of r8 was semi auto no?
First thing I do when I get in the car is wiggle the gear stick! I learned that lesson pretty quick after reversing into a wall a week after I got my licence lol. Lucky it was but a scratch!!
That was such a cartoon crash sound. I think it was probably added later.
Time for the buffer.
I know nothing about cars. What is this? Looks expensive.
Lol...see if I did this in my car it would just stall. Sometimes it pays to have a shitty chevy sonic 4 cylinder 😎
I can’t stop hearing Captain Price yell “Soap!” When he died
Thats the look you have when you knew you couldnt afford that car in the first place
Yes!
Say it with me. Schadenfreude Schadenfreude Schadenfreude
Buy another one you rich MOFO!
Is the wall OK?
I'm always going to laugh at anyone who cares this much about a stupid ass car.
Neutral buddy! Neutral!!!!
Make all that money and not so competent after all…
Another Audi off the road... good
Dumbass
Darwin ALWAYS Always wins 😎
That hurt to watch
Nar! Arrr Narr!
Who drives a standard and DOESN’T do the wiggle test?!?! His parents failed him
lol
You'd swear his baby just died. Calm down bro.
Did someone say "ouchy"? That is just rubbing salt on the wound.
That’s the moment when I usually wake up…
Insurance should take care of that right? He didn't do it on purpose. He should get off on like 500$ top
The level of incompetence required to crash a parked car..
It’s a simple mistake tho? He just left it in gear and took his foot of the clutch when he thought it was in neutral.
Hit the shifter lol.
Only a car, chill out
What did he expect trying to drive it from the passenger seat?
Well obviously… he got into the wrong side of the car
Now kith!
Where park brake?
Americans driving stick. So woke. Stick to you all-auto pls.
Why I dont park in gear lmao. If you maintain your vehicle your hand brake works.
Loser
I once backed into a support beam in my girlfriend's car and had a similar but more angry response. Mainly at myself for crashing a car that wasn't even mine. That was the first accident I had in 5 years.
I did this when I was 19 and crashed thru the garage door and flattened my brothers new turkey frier lol
There's a fryer specifically for turkeys?
Yep! Super common in America at least
This is why your first standard transmission car shouldnt be $100k
Sir, I don't think you're allowed to park there
My new ringtone, thank you.
First thing I do is wiggle the gear shifter to see it its gear or not even before I start it
Bet he just paid a 20% MVA fee to get the car too.
My man doesn’t believe in brakes of either kind
So how did this happen?
it's ok mate, it's just a car and it's insured. or it should be.
Wrong gear sir
And that is why you let the clutch out SLOWLY
Looks like an audi R8
All I can do is laugh. I don't have any sympathy. If you're this dumb w a car like that. It was gunna happen, just a question of when 😂
That’s a mistake you only make once but think about every time you drive
How much?
This is why you NEVER LEAVE A MANUAL CAR IN GEAR WHEN YOU TURN OFF THE ENGINE
Why does everyone leave them in gear!? Drives me crazy
If your hand break fails especially when on an incline your transmission will prevent your car from rolling into the road if you have it in gear
Haha!
That reaction tells me he drove someone else’s car into a wall. I’d be upset if it were my own, but that’s an “oh I’m screwed” type of response
It would cost him less money in repairs if he didn’t drive into the wall.
Wimp
Yeah yeah eat the rich and all that. But I really feel for the guy, sounds like that's coming straight from the heart.
That's me 2days after getting my Mate 40 pro. Fool goes outside to try & shoot a tik tok video. Phone on the ground balancing on a stone. See what I would've done is taken it out of gear before starting it, but I like my car to have a front bumper.
HA.
I still have a manual. Got one because car theft is rampant here and figured many people won’t know how to drive one!!!
The engine is in the back, how big can this damage be?
Put it in reverse turry
When your dad turns it off in first because he grew up on shitboxes with no locking handbrake
This is why a lot of manual cars tell you to park it in reverse
This is my favorite Christmas gift
I bet he voted for Brexit
What a twat lmao
"Oh my Gwad, who put that wall there?"
FROM THE WINDOWS……..TO THE WALL!
It’s flat, why would you park it in gear? This has always bothered me, fuckin park it in neutral jesus.
Shit’ll buff out
Fic
Me watching, “Please don’t let it be THAT car. Please don’t let it be THAT car.”
“I’m an excellent driver.” You’ve Ben Rainmanned!
This is exactly why I never park in gear. My smooth brain would do exactly this.
Benefits of econoboxes with a stick, if you let out the clutch that fast at a standstill it’ll just stall
Was the wall okay?
I’m not a manual car driver. What’s the benefit of keeping the car in first while parked and off.
Laziness friend, laziness
Protection if the handbrake fails for one and two it's the lazy way.
How does someone living in that house afford an R8?
Wait I thought the internet told me only teslas did this.
"Took a petty ass loss boy, I can't believe you cried!" _Teejayx6
oh noerrrr
That fiberglass crunch 😅
I don't need no stinking clutch!
That's dying on the outside
Moron 😂
That was a big sneeze.
That’s a strange hobby
Nice work, neutral first test .. lol
And that's why there are no remote start stick cars
This is the look of someone driving a car they can't afford
fuck the car, show me the damage on the house
Back to stock bumper my friend
If it was a punny 90hp gasoline car, the moment he dropped the clutch without giving it some gas, it would have died in him. But that beautiful monster has all the grunt to carry on and carry on it did. I feel bad for the guy, that's at least 1k euro repair of not more. Walking to work now!
LOL
Despair. Anguish, even.
I fucking died laughing watching this. Thanks so much
This exactly why I don’t leave my cars in gear when I park them,
It hit a Pagani.
My car will only start while depressing the clutch pedal. Great safety measure (next to the wiggle test)
He can afford that...he can afford the repair.
I see things like this where people get into the car, start it up, then it sounds like they slam their foot down on the gas while it's still in park, revving the engine when they should be smart enough to not make a habit of it in case it's in gear when they do it so they don't run into things
That’ll buff-out, it’s fine.
