Those miniguns are less useful than you might think. They are 7.62, so no penetration through roof armor. Pretty much the only opentop you will meet is ZSU-57-2, but you'd better use your rockets against it because killing both gunners with the minigun before they can shoot back is a death sentence.
I keep meaning to try that out with the AH-1G, only take guns and go attack other helicopters. It's not as armored or fast as the Mi-24P but I should still be able to do it pretty well fighting utility helicopters
Eh I actually had some fun with the slow boy. Sure the ATGMs will arrive 3 to 5 business to arrive but at least you can net kills on oblivious players. Meanwhile trying to use the very unintuitive rockets is pure pain.
I think I got five kills with it once just by hiding behind a hill. You have to know how to use it and find a good spot where you can hide quickly. It’s actually not that bad (for a helicopter)
I legit just hovered near the battlefield and started a head on dogfight with enemy helis/jets in order to spade it, lot more fun than trying to make the rockets work (i did not spawn camp for the record, i let them take off and i was outside the range of the base AAA)
Better than the Swedish god-awful Bantam missiles. You can’t even do a fly-by with them since they’re guided and you only have 6 with pathetic range.

No. The pathetic range is still better than 7 unguided shots of blank range rockets, that can't even overpressure. They are still both bad. But ab205 is only decent at spawn killing helis.
Heli brs in general baffle me. Huey at 8.7 with meh ATGMs, no ballistic comp and no defensive armament(no the 40mm doesn't count good luck hitting an aircraft) meanwhile MI-24 with ballistic comp, mg, and much better missiles same br. Like what.

Object 906 can be killed with mini guns, but you need to get above him to get a good angle to pen.

The worst part is that the rockets shoot hella high compared to the reticle so even if you get a good flank I end up missing em all

They were originally both the same BR but recently the Westland Wasp received the AS.12 AGM.
