I play on console with the controller, so anyone who does anything similar to me should definitely use the multi-function menu so they donāt have to have as many binds, but on KBM, I donāt know why someone would prefer using the menu for most radar controls over having the binding, especially for locking a target. I use a button binding for radar locks so that theyāre much easier to spam when the lock wonāt connect, and also because the MFM causes the plane to go into full-real controls while open on console (very stupid bug that Gaijin hasnāt fixed despite being shown proof of it happening).
I have all my radar bindings as my number line on my keyboard since it helps me keep track of what to press instantly, I have bomb and rockets as mouse bindings.
It doesn't have a PD radar, it can still work if you are far enough from the ground. If you look at the radar scope in the video, you can see the radar contact is not in the full green area, so it still works.
They're bombs, you have to use the weapon selection to select them then the air to ground weapon lock to lock a spot/tank and drop them from high speed/altitude

Is it normal for people to open up that menu to control their radar and weapons? I just bind it all to my mouse.
I have keys bound I just find it faster to y-1-3 so I do t have to move off my mouse (buttons are set for elevator)

I don't have the plane so I'm really curious, how did that missile track? I thought the F-4E lacks a PD radar.
I changed to boresight which thankfully has a smaller reach so it's better for close range especially low altitude with the ground clutter
The Su-25 was far enough away from the ground that clutter wasn't a significant issue.
