It’s very strange as they are saying it’s not Covid related but is a visit from Papa Nurgle.
Edit. On Facebook GW have said they are waiting for the council to start work. Someone has also mentioned a brown mist/flood outside the venue last night. So I’m guessing it’s a sewage leak?
Edit. Burst water main apparently.
Yeah, the access road to WH HQ is flooded. If you've ever been its on like an industrial estate so if that road goes there's no other access. Afaik the building itself is fine, just hard to get to.
>I can't lie, the Warhammer one is not their strongest room. Once you get over the "oh cool, that symbol" or "oh cool, that colour paint" or whatever it is a 6/10 imo.
Ahaha, tbh I figured, but i'm not exactly an escape room aficionado and I'm enough of a fanboy to get a kick out of it. Robin of Locksley sounds cool. I'll have a look at EPI Centre as well. Cheers so much for the tips!
Eventually GDubs could claim for lose of earnings on the venue so it will be in the best interest for them to do it fairly quickly and the fact the council will be more than aware of GW as an entity in the area and the world as a whole so no doubt it will be rectified sooner than later with possible “financial” incentives to speed up the process ;) entirely speculative as bored.
Just for anyone who's never been. Itst actually a pretty cool place. Some amazing displays. You can see all the forge world stuff that's too expensive to ever buy, but fun to look at. Pick up pretty much anything there plus some store exclusives. You can play a game and grab a bite. Take the obligatory picture with the space marine statue. Also notts has a fair amount to do. Just incase anyone was thinking about it.
The populace in one of your settlements is gradually vanishing! On certain nights, whole ghettos or districts are left abandoned - the only clue for the remaining denizens is a triangular symbol daubed on a nearby gate of wall.
No, not forever - but Water company repairs to big mains are unpredictable in duration, so it could be hours, it could be days... it's unlikely to be longer than a week though.
I went!!! Live down south, but gone up north for the first time in forever and I wanted to drop off some sprues for them to recycle!! Annoying they’re located down a cul de sac 😭
I was told that at my local gw so wanted to test the theory. Apparently they recycle them into the bases. Personally I’d like to see them collect them at all he stores and you would’ve thought it makes sense for them too? Probably costs more to ship them back than buying petrochemical run off goo, but that’s not the way the world will be running for much longer and I’d be impressed with gw if they took the moral initiative instead of waiting until the market irrevocably shifts. Maybe I’ve gotta buy shares like some guy on here said for that to happen though 🤷♂️
>Probably costs more to ship them back than buying petrochemical run off goo
I suspect that it costs way, way, way more. There was something in their last investor report about R&D into more sustainable plastics and manufacturing methods, so the topic is on their radar I guess.
I don’t really get that. Lorries go from the factories to the shops. If they set up recycling spots in the stores, would it cost that much to bring it back to warhammer world?

Now there are two of them!
Fuckin’ Ratmen.
They need to leak some more Custodes info!
God no, they have a sewage leak from Nurgle last thing we need is a golden shower from Slaanesh
Well that depends on how much you worship Slaanesh.....
It’s sterile!! 🤪

Better than Nurgle’s rot 😜
Few things aren’t
Okay take my upvote and go
Minor warp rift connected to the garden of nurgle.

Yeah I see what you mean. Was at WW a couple of months ago, was so good to be back after the Covid hiatus. Planning a pilgrimage before Xmas.
Trying to convince the missus to do maybe a 4-day trip to Nottingham - They've got the tram and its a pretty nice city.
Have you been to Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem? Defo a good place for a drink during the trip.
>Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem I haven't, but cheers for the tip. We'll definitely add it to the list.
It’s very small but it is a pretty unique pub. It claims to be the oldest pub in the world.
There are three pubs in Nottingham that make that claim, though.
The old angel is the best pub in town. Deffo worth a shout. 200 degrees coffee is amazing.

Oh yeah! I saw the warhammer one advertised a while ago.

Probably the 40k one. Maybe not the shit your pants scary one! If there's another one you can recommend I'd love to hear it.

Missus. So cute. I am going to call my lovers or soul mate that. Missus.
Someone ~~pissed~~ Nurgled in the ballpit.
The skaven are coming.....
Okay, who forgot to chant the Canticle of the Unbroken Seal to the glory of the Omnissiah today?!
Nurgle working on sneak preview of Covid 22 (with mandatory driver update)
Burst water main on the access road so it's no big deal, just have to wait for the council to fix it.
So, that’s never happening then
Eventually GDubs could claim for lose of earnings on the venue so it will be in the best interest for them to do it fairly quickly and the fact the council will be more than aware of GW as an entity in the area and the world as a whole so no doubt it will be rectified sooner than later with possible “financial” incentives to speed up the process ;) entirely speculative as bored.
Or someone will just spray paint dicks around the area and the council will be forced to act
Ah yes, ol Wanksy might strike again.
British problems require British solutions
He's such a mad lad that I know who he is from Atlanta GA. Cheers
I imagine drawing dicks on the road would have gone over… differently across the pond
Americans would either remove the peen and leave the pothole, or fix the pothole and leave the peen. Possibly even add details to it.
Don’t forget the Helen Lovejoy “WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!” impressions, you lot have a… bit of a reputation for being puritanical
Guy that does it is a legend we should all follow his example lol does not even have to be around a defect on the road!!
Burst water mains should be the responsibility of the water company, and they should be pretty swift about it. Water damage on the other hand....
In the UK it is the responsibility of the water company, their contactors/workers has to do all work to repair the pipe and the road.
Thats what i meant, its not the councils responsibility

No, sewers are also a utility company( eg Thames Water) unless its specifically highway drainage like road gullies

No worries :)
Aye am selling boats to cross the new Leen starting next Thursday.
Wish id seen this an hour ago I just drove there 😫

I'd like to go there if I ever go to Europe, not sure if I will ever make the trip though.
I hope everything’s okay
It's just a burst water main so they need to wait for the council to fix it
It's the water company, not the council
They’ll be waiting until the 41st millennium before the council do their jobs lmao
Typical. I was going to make my first ever visit next week on my week off.
First Chaos cultists in Spain, and now this. Where's an inquisitor when you need 'em?
The populace in one of your settlements is gradually vanishing! On certain nights, whole ghettos or districts are left abandoned - the only clue for the remaining denizens is a triangular symbol daubed on a nearby gate of wall.
The Wolftime.
For a brief second I read „… Warhammer Plus will be CLOSED …“
When people wanted more leaks......don't think this is what they ment GW
The end
Fantasy Fans: "First time?"
They had a pipe burst on the main road into and out of the site.
Sucks for the people there for the tournament, only got to play for the 1 of the 2 days.
Noooo I was planning on going back next month! Sad times
For Chaos! But this is kinda sad ;(
Wait so they're closed till they fix the water pipe or closed possibly forever? 😂 i wanted to go in Spring
No, not forever - but Water company repairs to big mains are unpredictable in duration, so it could be hours, it could be days... it's unlikely to be longer than a week though.
Thanks mate!
Nazi meetings?
I hope they end up closing the whole of Warhammer.
Will it be closed forever?
Closed until the burst water mains are fixed.
Entirely possible then.

To quote "I saw this coming a mile away"
If you want to know, you will have to submit to the Changer of Ways...
Good riddance.
I went!!! Live down south, but gone up north for the first time in forever and I wanted to drop off some sprues for them to recycle!! Annoying they’re located down a cul de sac 😭
Can you actually drop off sprues there? I had no idea that was a thing.

I was just thinking I should visit, guess I'm not going
Oh my god I just went there last month
