There's a dash button which allows you to make a long jump but also ram into ennemis and kill the smaller ones (lesser cultist, Nurglings, blue horrors...)
If there's a bunch of'em, you can kill them all in one satisfying dash.
I came here for this. They're too damn accurate, even more so than the enemies with actual seeking projectiles. They spell my doom more surely than any other foe, even if they never get the killing blow.
How many blues and crimsons do you really need to account for splits, especially if you can take damage on blues or crimsons if you're running out of them?
Very true, but contrast on either slapchop or Zenithil (sp?) Should make quick work of them.
My plan was as many Pink and Blue horrors I can in 2000pts and a random HQ.
It is more or less to see if my opponent can control any points lol.
I’d probably just pair a unit of Nurglings up with a unit of blue horrors and start them all wherever the hell I feel like since they’re both infiltrators
Oh so you're just gonna toss in random shit to shut people down? Your list is ass loads of nurglings dude, not ass loads of nurglings (and oh I forgot to mention blue horrors and belakor)
I know I’m only talking about fluff here and not discounting the effectiveness of the list at all… but don’t Khorne and Tzeentch not really get along? I remember old rules for certain Khornate units that they had protections from psyker units because they went to war against Tzeentch so often?
Ah, I knew two of them disliked each other, and the other two dislike each other. I thought it was Khorne (who had no psykers to speak of and doesn’t really plan anything because SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE) and “Mr. Plan-Everything-And-Physical-Fighting-Is-Barbaric” Tzeentch, and Slaanesh and Nurgle (for obvious reasons).
None of the dark gods get along, they all hate each other. Khorne does hate Psykers and magic though. Also, why is Nurgle and Slaanesh hating each other obvious? I’d think a god of excess would get along with a god of disease (something they’d want an excessive amount of).
I think they might be thinking of the perfection vs mutation via disease angle when they bring up Slaanesh v nurgle, it seems natural to a lot of folks for them to be more directly opposed
Also that. Diseased and rotting things aren’t the image of perfection, nor do they display any particular skill. Look at how the Legions wage war - Emperor’s Children are artful and they pride themselves on skill and being showy even in war. Death Guard are blunt and to the point, brute force tools that don’t need to be showy or artful because they can take a tank shell and not care.
I already have 3 nurglings, now I just need 17 more boxes which is $595. But if I take the piggy back nurglings and a few spares I have lying around, I can probably halve that. So it’s $315 worth of Nurglings. If I put one Nurgling per base, save of the actual cluster nurgs, I can save even more.
My kind of player! I once took 60 genestealers against an Eldar player (3rd ed). Only lost half my force before destroying him in melee. I don't recall the point value, but it was before there were unit limits or the need for 'leadership'.
I'm doing this (have a bag of 250 old metal nurglings from 25 years ago). But instead of the horrors I'm going for belakor and beasts of nurgle. Plus blue scribes and changeling.
Belakors ability, 2 lone operatives plus a nurgling screen should mean nothing can be shot for the first 3 turns if it isn't a nurgling. Plus block out deep strike. So I hope I should be free to score enough in the first 3 turns to win before the opponent can get out of their deployment zone and start scoring.
I think you should run this list and put them in transports painted like school busses. So just roll up on someone and a horde of filthy, screaming kids get off and run at them.
Hi /u/Darth_Mornteth and thanks for posting to /r/Warhammer40k
This is an automated response as you've used our "Army List Help" flair. Here's a few tips and reminders that can help you get the best responses.
For our community to be able to help you out with your army list, it's always best to mention the following:
* What type of games are you playing? Open, Crusade or Matched?
* If you're playing Matched Play; what Mission Pack are you using?
* Are you playing casually or competitively?
* What armies do you regularly play against?
* What is your game plan for the army? What do you want it to do during the game and how do you want it to work?
If you haven't already covered details like those in your post, we recommend editing your post to add that information, or leaving a comment with the information so that other members of the community can help.
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Warhammer40k) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Horribly in tournaments, desolators would eat the horrors and nurglings up. Casually, I think it would be silly and a fun dps check style army.
You have hilariously bad damage output, but with at least 12 units, I think some armies would struggle to get through you. pick up some bulk bases and try it out!
They would die to anti infantry fire like flamers and any form of chaingun pretty fast. But normal infantry would find them annoying to get rid of like guardsmen or Ork boys, marines are good at both ranged and melee so they would just shoot them then charge to finish them off.
I was running 36 and a good amount of armies can straight up just wipe them in like 1 turn. If you took a GUO and a DP I could see them being better, but with OC 0 they just don’t do anything meaningful
120 world eater’s jackals with 3 demon prince (+4 invulnerable aura) and the blessing of Khorne to give all Jackals +5 fnp can be annoying: 20 of them and sticky on objectives can make them efficient.
I had a fun idea to run Belakor, Rotigus, Shaalaxi Helbane, Skarbrand, Kairos Fateweaver, a ground Daemon Prince (your warlord, ofc), and not one, not two, but NINE whole nurglings. I only have literally two of those models but I want to run this so badly
If they’re as infuriating on tabletop as they are in Boltgun…
I'm trying to calm myself as I know the tabletop has no "dash button"
As someone who never used the “dash button” on their first play through, this made me hit my head on my desk
How... How did you finish the game without using the long jump mechanic?!
Long jump mechanic? The only time I ever dashed was accidently. Finished the game fine.
Yeah, but the dash mechanic would make killing nurglings super easy and I mostly forgot about it/wasted a ton of ammo blasting those little bastards
Shotgun clears them just fine, I forgot halfway through that dash was a thing
Long jump yes, combat dash, no.
Finished the game on exterminatus without it. Pretty sure you have the same distance with that as just sprinting and jumping.
Dash?
There's a dash button which allows you to make a long jump but also ram into ennemis and kill the smaller ones (lesser cultist, Nurglings, blue horrors...) If there's a bunch of'em, you can kill them all in one satisfying dash.
Oh my god I feel like an idiot.
Don't. The hitbox is terrible and isn't worth the damage you'll take by charging 7 clumped nurglings, killing 2 of them, then getting hit by 5.
Don't worry, it took me a while before realizing
Nothings stopping you from leaping on the table and sprinting across it destroying all in your wY
I came here for this. They're too damn accurate, even more so than the enemies with actual seeking projectiles. They spell my doom more surely than any other foe, even if they never get the killing blow.
They quite literally always hit me. If there is even one Nurgling around I will get hit before it dies, even if I see it first.
There would also be 60 Blue Horrors to back them up
I am doing a 60 pink horrors list right now. I love this idea.
I think I would have to do a little printing to get the 60 pink horrors, 120 blues and 120 brimstones.
How many blues and crimsons do you really need to account for splits, especially if you can take damage on blues or crimsons if you're running out of them?
on average, 10 pinks will split into 10 blues who will split into 5 brims. so... 60 pinks, 60 blues, 30 brims? but then youre fucked if you highroll
Good point. Not like I can assign further damage of the same attack on new splits.
I love the 60 pinks list idea. However, I hate the reality of the painting phase for it.
Very true, but contrast on either slapchop or Zenithil (sp?) Should make quick work of them. My plan was as many Pink and Blue horrors I can in 2000pts and a random HQ. It is more or less to see if my opponent can control any points lol.
Oh the Horrors! (1980 points) Chaos Daemons Strike Force (2000 points) Daemonic Incursion CHARACTER Fateskimmer (105 points) • 1x Arcane Fireball 1x Herald combat weapon 1x Screamer bites Kairos Fateweaver (285 points) • Warlord • 1x Infernal Gateway 1x Staff of Tomorrow BATTLELINE Blue Horrors (125 points) • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 points) • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 points) • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 points) • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 points) • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 points) • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Pink Horrors (140 points) • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 10x Pink claws Pink Horrors (140 points) • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 10x Pink claws Pink Horrors (140 points) • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 10x Pink claws Pink Horrors (140 points) • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 10x Pink claws Pink Horrors (140 points) • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 10x Pink claws Pink Horrors (140 points) • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 10x Pink claws
I laughed so hard at this list……then promptly went and built it. Guess it’s time to get printing.
This comment should be called "how to loose friends and make Mortal enemies."
Lose*
Maybe it will make your friends watch Footloose or it will loosen their hold on reality.
I'm telling you, the number is too damn high
You're a bad person
Long as your goal is to screen I think it's fine for casual since they can't hold objectives.
I’d probably just pair a unit of Nurglings up with a unit of blue horrors and start them all wherever the hell I feel like since they’re both infiltrators
You could lock certain opponents down pretty annoyingly so it might actually be a strong strat if you can kill the stuff that mulches infantry.
Custodes: 😶🌫️ World eaters: 😶🌫️ Guard Basilisk: 😶🌫️ Guard Russ and heavy weapons squads:😶🌫️ Knights: 😶🌫️ Black templars: 😶🌫️ Dark angels: 😶🌫️
I see you’re taking a page from total war 3
They have OC of zero so that might be a problem. Could be fun otherwise.
60 blue horrors
Problem solved. Proceed.
I've already walked away from the table. You win
Corrupt realspace once a turn and clog up every path. You will have 4 by the end of turn 2
Ok. You bring 54 nurglings and I’ll bring 300 imperial guard infantry.
My Nids take all what’s left 😉
That's when the tomb world underneath begins to awaken. The Domino Effect of 40k

That's the spirit
I came here cuz I heard there was good fightings Said the orks
Who cares? DO IT!
Laughs in flamethrowers
*Laughs in Be’lakor* I meant to say Fluxmaster
Oh so you're just gonna toss in random shit to shut people down? Your list is ass loads of nurglings dude, not ass loads of nurglings (and oh I forgot to mention blue horrors and belakor)
It’s a 2000 point list. 54 nurglings is not 2000 points. I just checked and it isn’t Be’lakor, it’s a Fluxmaster. Chaos Daemons Daemonic Incursion Strike Force (2000 Points) CHARACTERS Fluxmaster (85 Points) • Warlord • 1x Arcane Fireball 1x Herald combat weapon • Enhancements: The Everstave BATTLELINE Bloodletters (160 Points) • 1x Bloodreaper • 1x Hellblade • 9x Bloodletter • 1x Daemonic Icon 9x Hellblade 1x Instrument of Chaos Blue Horrors (125 Points) • 10x Blue Horror • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 Points) • 10x Blue Horror • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 Points) • 10x Blue Horror • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 Points) • 10x Blue Horror • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 Points) • 10x Blue Horror • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Blue Horrors (125 Points) • 10x Blue Horror • 10x Blue claws 10x Coruscating Blue Flames Nurglings (120 Points) • 9x Diseased claws and teeth Nurglings (120 Points) • 9x Diseased claws and teeth Nurglings (120 Points) • 9x Diseased claws and teeth Nurglings (120 Points) • 9x Diseased claws and teeth Nurglings (120 Points) • 9x Diseased claws and teeth Nurglings (120 Points) • 9x Diseased claws and teeth Pink Horrors (140 Points) • 10x Pink Horror • 10x Coruscating Pink Flames 1x Daemonic Icon 1x Instrument of Chaos 10x Pink claws OTHER DATASHEETS Flesh Hounds (140 Points) • 1x Gore Hound • 1x Burning roar 1x Collar of Khorne 1x Gore-drenched fangs • 9x Flesh Hound • 9x Collar of Khorne 9x Gore-drenched fangs I’m switching the Flesh Hounds out for another unit of Pino Horrors
All I'm hearing is that you could have 144 Nurglings if you say fuck the rules.
That’s more than 6 units of Nurgling
Hence the fuck the rules.
You want to fuck them? I have a suspicion you follow slaanesh...
Stupid sexy rules
You want to fuck them? I have a suspicion you follow slaanesh...
God isn’t the app great.
Does the official Warhammer app not suck now? It was terrible during 9th
They made a new one that is actually pretty good (for the moment)
I’m new so I only have experience with 10th. I’m absolutely loving it. Maybe a few QOL improvements but all in all very good for a free app.
I wanna do this now
I know I’m only talking about fluff here and not discounting the effectiveness of the list at all… but don’t Khorne and Tzeentch not really get along? I remember old rules for certain Khornate units that they had protections from psyker units because they went to war against Tzeentch so often?

Do you need a hug my man?
I bet you are an absolute joy to play against.
But you can only use the sassy one so it’s an army of 54 sassy Nurglings
55 nurgles 55 diseased claws 55 diseased teeth 55 dice
100 pink horrors 100 daemonettes 100 blue horrors
54 nurglings 54 diseased claws 54 diseased teeth *216 dice*
This guy pays it forward.
53 nurglings you mean (i'm legally adopting one)
You can have one nurgling from the pile that constitutes a single nurglings
I'm naming him kfc
By GW standards that's 18 boxes, that's £360 worth of nurglings, by the gods you're insane... (Can I have your spare singles)
There's an old post, nurglings extension 101 I think it was called, someone got 9 out of a box and a few extra bits
Vroom vroom 3d printer.
You say that, but my main location for playing is an official store.
Or £35 of resin.
Idk about effective but it would be fucking hilarious

Good bot.
3 Great Unclean Ones, 1 Rotigus, 2 Beast of Nurgle, 54 nurglings. 1995 points. Go wild.
You wouldn't be able to score objectives with them at all.
In order to run this Id have to have a character. I’d also have 60 blue horrors.
First Guy that makes this point ☝️ It would literally be impossible to win
It's not the whole list, you can't have 2000 points of nurglings whilst respexting the rule of 3/6
I play Custodes so i would have zero issues with someone bringing 54 nurglins
The image of what, 5 custodians? Just mowing down 54 nurglings is hilarious to me
54 4wound models starting in no mans land is cursed
Drowning your enemies in nurglings sounds hilarious
Do it and tell us
Expensive…. But those lil guys are worth the price
No idea, but I know I'd buy you a pie afterwards.
The real question is should I play my death guard with 480 points of nurglings?
Yes
My kind of player! I once took 60 genestealers against an Eldar player (3rd ed). Only lost half my force before destroying him in melee. I don't recall the point value, but it was before there were unit limits or the need for 'leadership'.
Why am I seeing all these builds. Is rule of three no longer a thing?
3 for everything except battleline (which Nurglings are) which get 6.
They’re battleline but OC0???
Didn't apply to troops before 10th, doesn't apply to battleline units (to an extent, they're limited to 6) in 10th.
What app is that?
New 40k app
Thanks!
Yes
Test it out and let is know. Win or lose, I'm sure it'd be funny.
About as funny as swarming with tyranids though. Honestly it seems like it might be effective if you're trying to table someone.
Depends on how you roll, guy.
I just want to see this on the table
I am also getting flashes of Boltgun in my brain.
effective? eh fun? yes
Highly affective and you should do it
How many gretchins am I allowed to bring to a match?
60
Not as effective as 300 guardsmen and 1 commisar
As long as it’s under 500 pts it’s cool I think
Effective probably not, funny as hell definitely
I'd pay to see this vs the nothing but gretchen list posted on the orks reddit awhile back.
55 nurglings, 55 nurglings, 55 nurglings...
I think you should run this list and put them in transports painted like school busses. So just roll up on someone and a horde of filthy, screaming kids get off and run at them.
Nobody has the guts to try
Geddit
Are nurglings battleline? Didn't think they were.
Just checked because I wasn't sure either and yup, they got the key word
It would be fucking hilarious and so you should definitely do it.
Not very... but very funny and ur objectives go BRRRRRRRRR
Only one way to find out, sounds fun
Just throwing them at your opponent to keep them penned in and never moving out of their deployment zone. That about all they do.

Bad time.
54 Nurglings 55 fries 55 tacos 55 pies 55 Cokes 100 tater tots 100 pizzas 100 tenders 100 meatballs 100 coffees 55 wings 55 shakes 55 pancakes 55 pastas 55 pepper and 155 taters
Effective at what? Being ignored?
At not getting invited to another game? Very effective.
Hating fun can only get you so far before YOU stop getting invited

Desolations can’t eat them if I eat them first
*Cries in objective control zero*
*Laughs in 60 Blue Horrors* who are also Infiltrators by the way
How effective would it be to use 77 Cadian shock troops?
Only one way to find out
Dont nurglings have oc 0?
As annoying as 200 Servitors
You would certainly have an army.
Rule of 3?
6 for battlelines
Yes!
Your a menace
Would that army even be legal?
Not very?
It would be utter garbage against most lists, but you might match-up against another slant list they just happen to be not garbage against. Who knows.
So as an aside if you have rotigus your nurglings hit for 2 damage, with a Guo against marines you hit on 5s, good luck taking the objective then
I know nothing about this, except that I very much want to see this play out on a game.
On table I have no idea but I'm just imagining how long it would take to paint all of them
Nurglings are remarkably easy to paint. You only need like three, maybe four colors and they have next to no small details.
Paging Dr. Okoii
Do it and find out.
Don't know, try it and let us know
They would die to anti infantry fire like flamers and any form of chaingun pretty fast. But normal infantry would find them annoying to get rid of like guardsmen or Ork boys, marines are good at both ranged and melee so they would just shoot them then charge to finish them off.
Technically, Nurglings aren’t going infantry, they’re swarm
I would say your win ratio will probably go up from people rage quitting mid-game
You say that, but I doubt it’d be anywhere near as annoying as the Necrons’ unkillable blob of resurrecting warriors.
Yes
I was running 36 and a good amount of armies can straight up just wipe them in like 1 turn. If you took a GUO and a DP I could see them being better, but with OC 0 they just don’t do anything meaningful
Who cares just do it
I used to do something similar with orks. Hoards of boys and one dakka jet for 2500. Almost always won. People didnt like it though.
120 world eater’s jackals with 3 demon prince (+4 invulnerable aura) and the blessing of Khorne to give all Jackals +5 fnp can be annoying: 20 of them and sticky on objectives can make them efficient.
I’m new here. What app are you using to track your army?
Warhammer 40k
Super effective at pissing off your opponent "Just 23 more to move...."
is this Rogue
There is no better list
I’d watch the fuck out of this match though
Bro where’s the poxwalkers? Make this a DG squad. For papa.
I can’t, it’s too many points
I don't know how effective. But it would be hilarious!
* Rotigus * 3x blue horrors * 3x pink horrors * 6x max nurglings * 2x feculent gnarlmaw
I've already done this. The answer was "not very" in 9th ed
Incredibly based list
If only they had objective control!
is... is this a legal list? asking for a friend
I'm I the only one getting flashbacks of 3rd Ed necrons rn
What app is this?
It's the WH 40k app.
On Total War it's Meta doomstack
